There is but it can seriously mess your phone. Apps such as kingroot can root your device without having you to unlock the phone but these apps have a bad reputation. So recommend to root by classical method.

Hi
Doing the classic method do I lose my warranty? Unlocking bootloader Huawei knows I've rooted my device...

Either way you will lose warranty. Using kingroot etc will void your warranty.
Only software warranty will be void not hardware.

No. You won't be able to update via ota (over the air) nor you will be able to update via Update.APP. However you can flash update.zip via twrp. You can find it on xda. It will erase your data though.

[Q] Noob Question....

Hey,
Just wondering if its still possible after rooting and installing a custom ROM if you can still receive official updates from SE. And if so how?
Xperia ARC - Cyangenmod 7
Yes, you've to relock your bootloader and can update your device via PCC/SEUS/OTA.
And pls post in the correct section.

If you update via OTA after relocking bootloader you will brick your phone! Use PCC.

Vulkan Update, how will it affect root users?

Vulkan OTA updates rolling out soon! How will this affect root users, ie, most if not all of us?

If you are on the pro 500gb, you can't root right now on marshmellow. Only the 16gb shields
that is correct no recovery, no showing nothing in twrp

king root?

Please excuse me if this has already been asked but since I'm new to the mxp I wanted to know if I can root this phone using king root or if this is not a good tool to use? Thank you for any suggestions.

Nope... Unless you want a brick. None of the one-click methods will work and there have been instances of bricking.
Rooting is only possible by unlocking the bootloader and flashing a systemless root (SuperSU) manually with TWRP.

Dumb question but do you know if there is anyway to root and unlock from the phone itself? Don't have a computer is why I ask.

Still got OTA updates after bootloader unlock?

Hi,
I just unlocked my bootloader and I wasn't sure if I would still get OTA updates on the phone. If not, can I relock the bootloader and keep root access?
