Thanks, I know what i have to do, But i don't know how i can downgrade to V10f, so that's the main problem here. And when i try to root my phone through Kingoroot or KingRoot, it just doesnt work.

Search for ioroot25. If that doesn't work search for stump 1.2.0. I had to use Stump to root a D800 with the latest firmware.

I feel I should add to this comment,
IORoot25 will downgrade your bootloader to Jelly Bean, and installs a Custom Recovery.
StumpRoot will only root your device, keep your KitKat bootloader and does not install a Custom Recovery.
So if I want to use "-=- CloudyG2 [KK] -=- ", which method is better?
In order to flash a ROM, you need a custom recovery.

Is root attainable on the D800's official lollipop update?

So, I'm currently running cloudyg2 2.2, and I'm thinking about downgrading back to stock and then taking the OTA to lollipop, but I haven't heard anyone mention if it is possible to retain root through the update process, or to obtain root afterwards. It'd be great if there was a flashable zip, but I don't know if that's possible at the moment.
You can get root again. Its a script in the development forum.
If you do this can you make a twrp backup of the stock lollipop rom and upload it? (since you'll essentially be pure stock anyway).
I'll buy you a beer
I see a link for a tool you use while connected to a computer, but does stump root still work?

No, all on-device roots are patched with Lollipop (unless you have a custom recovery, which is unobtainable on stock lollipop for the d800 as far as I know)
Use the one that requires PC. If you run into issues, pm me or reply to me on this thread.

root is easy, and ill confirm about bump recovery in 30 mins, charging phone for any re flashing required.
recovery is good to go now autorec for specific model at playstore.
Please upload flashable zip of this official AT&T lollipop.
Does anyone know if downgrading back to kitkat is a possibility at this point in time?

I'd assume you could just use a kdz to go back.
So.. no recovery as of yet on official Lollipop am I right?
Keeping that in mind, is it worth the update? Is it smoother/better?
I know this can be asked in any of the other threads, but I'm asking here with respect to its worth when compared to losing Custom Recovery.

Hi, was able to root my V10d with Kingroot 4.9 but after reboot, I lose root. Only soft reboots keep root. What can I do about this?
You need to use flashify to install custom recovery, them flash supersu. Kingroot will root, but that's really all its good for

Hi...
Well the proper way to root ur opt is to unlock bootloader, flash twrp recovery and flash a proper su root package.
Oxygen 3.5.6 is bit complicated so not sure.
I will not recommend any shortcuts.[emoji106]

If you have already unlocked bootloader and have twrp installed, just flash this SuperSU

There are actually 15+ different Marshmallow roms. Some can be rooted in the developer menu, some need to flash SuperSU. The easiest way to get an answer is to ask in the rom-thread you are using. Here's a rom-list.
