How to enable VoLTE in Lollipop? - Lenovo K5 Note Questions & Answers

I am tired of searching for root in marshmallow version. Can anyone guid how to downgrade to lollipop with steps to backup appropriate partitions so i don't loose imei or any other key parameters and also enable VoLTE on lollipop.

I think its very difficult bcz lot of reference files for volte is present in the kernal which is inside the boot image , and marshmellow boot img and lolipop boot img has lot of difference

[HELP] No sound on official lollipop

I updated to lollipop through the official ota today (flashed 10C then did all OTAs to lollipop). In recovery, I also flashed a headphone volume modification that I always flash on changing ROMs. It modifies the mixer_paths.xml file in /system/etc/. However when I looked there, there was no such file. Can anyone confirm whether the file exists in the lollipop update? If so, may I please get a copy? Thank you.

Updating firmware and root?

Hi guys,
I know how rooting and flashing works but I've been using HTC devices since the nexus one so there are some differences I just want to make sure of. I got my 6P yesterday, I unlocked the bootloader and flashed TWRP. I wanted to gain root but Im not sure about flashing the modified boot img and the vendor thing.
My build was K but I got an OTA before unlocking the bootloader which updated to L. Anyway I don't know why I just formatted every thing in TWRP instead of the factory reset and I lost the OS X_X I tried to restore my nandroid with no luck. Anyway I got the factory img (MDB08L) from google dev and flashed used 'flash-all.bat' in the bootloader, the phone is running fine right now but I would like to update to the latest firmware 6.0.1+root since im not getting any OTA.
I would like to install CleanCore(6.0.1), the guide is
-> Flash Bootloader & Radio (as needed)
-> Flash CleanCore
-> Flash Modified Boot (named angler-xxxxxx-boot.zip)
-> Flash SuperSU or SuperSU Beta
-> Flash latest vendor.img (ROM & Vendor builds need to match!)
1. Should I use MMB29M factory img and flash 'flash-all.bat' like I did with the L build for the first step? then I flash new recovery?
-Flashing the rom through the recovery
2. so after I flash the rom I boot into the bootloader and flash the modified boot img with fastboot flash boot boot.img right?
3. then I go back to recovery and flash SU which I should download before.
4. vendor img is flashed in recovery too or fastboot?
Sorry for the hassle I just want to make sure.
One more thing, in this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206928 at step 9, OP flashes the factroy img files separately (bootloader, radio, etc), is there a problem with using flashall.bat?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my noobish questions.
If you want to keep your data while doing this process, then yes, using the flash-all.bat is a problem. However, if you are fine with reverting back to stock(where you have to activate Android and reinstall all of your apps) then the flash-all.bat file is just fine.
That guide in the thread you linked walks you through how to update without losing data. After doing all of that, you'll just need to install TWRP and SuperSU again(do the latest systemless supersu though)

Thanks for the help.
I have rooted my stock rom and gained root. I also installed exposed so i'll be fine without a custom rom for some time. There has been a report that some cameras aren't working on 6.0.1 with root so I'll wait for a while.
Thanks again

I'm pretty sure those reports are because they used the SuperSU root method that didn't auto patch the boot image(which is the version(or two versions) behind the current version of SuperSU). This is happening because people are updating to 6.0.1, but the patched SuperSU boot image is for 6.0 and the 6.0 boot image conflicts with 6.0.1
As long as you use the latest version of SuperSU then you won't have any trouble with the camera

Hello, YOU MUST FLASH TWRP THROUGH FLASHTOOL AND THEN ( very important) you MUST BE REMOVED THE USB CABLE and finally YOU'll ACCESS TO THE TWRP.

VoLTE Broken after rooting.

I recently flashed the May update via TWRP on my Indian 3GB variant. Tried to root the stock ROM; flashed the Pie decryption zip and then flashed Magisk. Booted the phone up and found out that I lost VoLTE in the only sim I use (Airtel). Then I reflashed the May update (via TWRP) and relocked the bootloader (following the unroot and relock guide). Still VoLTE is unavailable. Any possible fixes to restore VoLTE are welcome. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Problem solved. The problem was with the SIM and not the phone. Borrowed a Jio SIM and found out that VoLTE was indeed working. Thanks for the help.
Moderators please close this thread.
with superior os nemesis firmware the volte is working, and there is an Indian developer, at this point you can try, your warranty is already void

Flash fastboot ROM or follow the lines above guy mentioned

[PLEASE HELP] HW P9 Lite (VNS-L21) Downgraded to MM, unable to get back to Nougat.

So, due to my Pixel's battery life being atrocious I wanted to try LineageOS 14.1 and use my P9 Lite as a daily driver.
I started by downgrading to Marshmallow from Nougat as DC-Unlocker wouldn't work on 7.0 and I needed the bootloader unlock code.
( I used the firmware and tutorial from 4mobiles dot net, looks to be a polish one. )
Once on 6.0 MM I was able to get the code and unlock the bootloader, however, LineageOS and it's TWRP does not seem to work on 6.0 so I needed to upgrade to Nougat again.
Unfortunately, when I try the official update it says there are no updates available and any time I try to use the firmware finder app either the download fails or upon attempting install the phone reports a 'compatibility issue' and won't accept any firmware.
I tried loads of different update.zip files via the recovery update as well as through ADB. Nothing seems to work.
Finally I was able to get TWRP 3.0.2.0 on it, but again, only the version from 4mobiles dot net works. Other versions of TWRP just remove recovery altogether. (I guess they don't work with 6.0)
At this point it's a bit easier to try roms, but still none of 'em seem to work.
-I tried sideloading and manually installing lineageos 14.1 from the sdcard, it fails with ERROR CODE 7
(currently I'm stuck on the 'YOUR PHONE CAN NOT BE TRUSTED/BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED' screen, no splash but I can get into recovery and fastboot)
-Tried flashing boot.img and system.img of various OEM firmwares as well as LineageOS's manually through ADB, same result, bootloops
It seems to me that some other file makes the phone believe that it's incompatible with any of my roms. Maybe the firmware i got for 6.0 is region locked, or perhaps it's the vendor.img that I don't know how to flash?
I know it's a grave mistake but I didn't take a note on what my original version number was. It was the latest 7.0 Nougat EMUI 5.0 update on a UK based unlocked VNS-L21. The 6.0 MM I flashed on it with a rollback update was C900B300.
I tried the proxy method, custom DNS, and manual download on various roms in the Firmware finder app. Even when the download doesn't fail, the system always says the firmware is incompatible when I try to install.
Right now I could put 6.0 MM back on it and make it usable, but I doubt it would be much better than the 7.0 that was on it originally.
Can anyone tell me how I could put the original Nougat firmware back on it? eRecovery doesn't detect any possible updates.
Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance!

use full update.zip from firmware finder. to upgrade, you can't use latest package. you must use first nougat update.zip.

I've only used Full-OTAs, no bugfixes. None of them seem to work.
Yesterday I tried manually selecting a different model in Firmware Finder;
VNS-L21C185 instead of the default VNS-L21C432-
and downloaded VNS-L21C185B397 update. It verified fine but I couldn't install it due to my recovery being TWRP and not the stock one. What I think I'll try is flashing the recovery of the original Marshmallow firmware that's currently on the system and seeing if it will install this update. I kinda doubt it will tho.
Any other suggestions?
Is there any way I can install a nougat TWRP without my current working firmware being on nougat?
If not, is there any way I can install a nougat firmware with TWRP 3.0.2.0? In order to flash update.zip / update.app files I need to get the stock recovery back, but I can't seem to be able to do that.
Is there any way I can flash a standard OEM Rom onto it with TWRP?

you can't install nougat TWRP in EMUI 4. you can install update.app with original recovery.
extract UPDATE.APP from update.zip
place UPDATE.APP to dload folder in sdcard.
press power button, vol+ and vol-
