Looking for video or photos of disassembly of Galaxy J3 Emerge (J327p) - Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) Questions & Answers

Hello all:
I just acquired a Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge 2017 (J327p) with a really toasted LCD screen. I want to be able to replace the screen but when I search for info on repairing or disassembling this phone the only info I can find is for the 2016 J3 (J320) unit. From looking at the vids for the 2016 J320 unit and comparing to this J327p 2017 model the two phone chassis are fairly different. Does anyone know of a guide, video preferable or just step by step photos to replace the screen on the J327p phone? The phone does indeed still turn on but nothing shows up on the screen.
BTW, in case anyone was wondering, even though it was in a special rubberized outer case I think it might have been run over by a car. I found it lying in the middle of the road when I was out for a bicycle ride today. I really am kind of amazed that it still turns on at all.

The first thing you have to do is heat the front glass, then using a pry tool remove it from the edges, then remove the screws behind the glass

Crumpler Case The p.p. 55

Hi,
I'd like to share with you that I am using a Crumpler case for my HTC TyTN II. The case I am using is called The p.p. 55. It fits the phone perfectly and is great for taking in and out of pockets. The only disadvantage is that it zips all the way round so is not particularly wired headphones friendly as you have to leave it unzipped at the bottom but overall I am very happy with it as a phone case.
Cheers,
andrew-in-woking
Got a link ?
I dont want my loose in my pocket, but the standard case that came in the box is way too bulky for when wearing jeans.
the att tilt (us version) doesn't come with a case. andrew, do u mind taking pics and posting them? i used to have the seido case which is awesome! i have the invsishield but haven't installed it yet.
With a quick google search I found it on amazon here.
Doesn't look too bad, with a variety of colours.
This was the original one that came with the phone:

The massive problem was the un-removable clip on the back. I say un-removable, but it can be removed, though it would have to be permanently by clipping it off.

Removing the camera unit from SGS, please help!

Hi,
I'm thinking of removing the Camera unit from my phone as camera mobiles are not allowed in my office.

Based on this, I'm confident that I can remove the camera from the mobile. But after removing the entire chip, will the phone have any trouble in booting?
I mean, while the phone is booting, will it be looking for camera unit and will fail in booting if there aren't any camera units found? I know this doesn't make any sense, but still I don't want to take any chance....
XDAians please shed some light on this topic! Also if you have any tips on removing camera, please share your information.
Thanks
Removing the camera is very easy if you know how to take the phone apart (don't break the tabs on the chrome trim).
And the phone will boot just fine.
This is my first time removing the panel. Hope it is as easy as you say.
And I'll look out for that tabs on the chrome trim.
i have changed the Mainboard a few weeks ago.
The hardest work was to split the cover.
Here the guy use a tool

i suggest to use your fingernails.
Second, there is a small white cable between mainboard and the board in the bottom.
Don't crush it, when you reassemble the phone.

[Q] Samsung galaxy s4 begin burn/melt on the aluminium part

Hello I expose you a problem that a friend of me encountered.
Look both picture first guys and you could tell me if this is from sun exposure, drop, acid or anything else please?

My friend don't know from where this came... She have to Chinese wallet case bought on ebay. Could be the problem? Or its from the sun exposure damage? Just the corner got damage from this and seems like more acid no?
And if the warranty could make something from this for a replacement because if it's from the sun exposure at 30°c the phone isn't far of being a ice cream...
Thanks for your opinion guys.
Hope someone could clear me about this
Looks a drop to me. This is not caused by heat bro Is (most likely) not covered by warranty, maybe insurance will cover it.
+1 for a drop...
That's 100% user damage ! ( Dropped / lighter / cigarette burn )
What are you talking there about sun damage ? LOL
Okay, thanks you guys to clearing me about this. I'll report to my friend about her phone.

[Q] Can i replace the front panel ?

Can i replace the front panel of my note 3 ? I got 2 small dents/scratches exactly where i put the two red dots on the below picture. They are very small but pretty annoying in alot of light.

Can buy new fascia's on eBay and on some phone shops yeah, fitting them may be tricky though.
If I was you I would get bumper case to avoid future scratches and cover existing one and would be really afraid to make things worse, while replacing that panel, than what it is now, but I'm not you.
Personally I find it dumb that users can't swap exteriors by design when phones are bounded to be scratched one way or another. For myself I could care less if my phone got banged up to the max if I knew I can simply self replace the entire exterior except the screen for like $20.
You can buy parts and replace them yourself, can you do it yourself as good as factory without messing anything up is the question. I don't know what exactly is involved in replacing this particular plate, but it seems some disassembly is almost given and there are wires, connectors etc. you need to be careful. It's not like iphone where you have to disassembly whole screen to replace stupid battery.

S7 Edge SM-G935F Touchscreen issues after replacing LCD+frame combo

Hi guys,
I was hoping someone here could help me with my issue on my S7 Edge SM-G935F.
After replacing the LCD + frame combo (meaning I transferred motherboard, camera, battery, etc. to the new frame), I've been having issues with the touchscreen where fast typing on the keyboard would cause ghost taps
If I were to repeatedly press Q on the keyboard with one thumb and p with my other thumb, the device would think that the tap was somewhere in the middle say letter t or y. Sometimes it would jump all over the place.
To better explain the problem, I've attached a couple of GIFs:
This one when typing on the keyboard

A bit of history about my phone, when I purchased it, the model was originally SM-G935FD.
After replacing the battery, it got water damaged since it lost its water resistance. I then had to replace the motherboard (SM-G935F) and everything was fine for some time until pink lines appeared on the screen.
I then decided to replace the LCD which came with the frame and this is when the issue started to happen.
I hope someone here can help, I'd really appreciate it!
Cheers!
