Promising, indeed !

aknotts415 they look outstanding. I wonder if tripod was used because some images shutter is 30-40. In comparison to what has been posted already it looks so much better, steadier and practically free of motion blur.

Photographs with the Hero - Flickr Group

I came across a Hero flickr group today, nothing to do with me but I thought I'd post it here as people might be interested or want to post to it...

I've also been experimenting with the camera a bit here, using the FX Camera app as well...

Just goes to prove HTC have a looong way to go before they catch up with Nokia's image processing.
Shame, as its the Hero's only real weak point. A flash would be nice of course, but a camera that takes clear pictures and not photos of JPEG'd mush would be nicer.
yeah I'd like not to do this on fast moving objects, maybe the shutter wont allow it, look at the near and far posts

I kind of like the challenge of getting something interesting with it though I'd still like a better camera.

Some HD2 camera pics

A lot of people have complained about the HD2 camera, but here are a view examples of shots I took over the last week that show it can still take some pretty nice shots. All have been retouched in Photoshop for artistic effect...

Can you please share you camera settings? Like White Balance, Contrast, Sharpness, etc. Do you change them for different type of lighting?
the second and forth pictures are awesome, makes me wanna go out there and try the camera out more myself

To be honest, the camera settings are pretty irrelevant due to the amount of post-processing performed. However, I use +4, +3, +4.

Some unpacking pictures I made showing the device, accessory, and comparing it to some phones and other things like HDD drive and iPod classic.

I'm not sure what i'm more jealous of - your Note, or that gorgeous Bavarian view out of your window. Thanks for the pics!
You got your exposure set too high.

Yeah, I think so, I just did not change any of the settings to get an idea how a fast snapshot would look like.

now that i have a real decent camera phone, it s time for me to test it vs a real camera
so with a friend we went for a test, and at the end, i think the mate 9 do a really good job!

Although impressive, there is still a clear advantage from the Sony Mirrorless camera. Not even close in my opinion. Camera phones, although getting better, is still far behind DSLRs or Mirrorless cameras. What camera phones are allowed to do today is provide like-DSLR quality pictures in small compact formats to image sharing sites like Instagram or Facebook. But its nice to see how much the camera on phones is improving every year.
being able to do longpause pictures at day time is simply amazing

The 960 slow motion will not has decent image quality when there are no any bright or good light sources (I mean not directly focusing on the light sources). Lots of noises.

As to be expected due to the insanely fast shutter speed required to shot 960 fps.
