For devices with Gyro sensor, you don't even need the keyboard and mouse. Just slightly move your head( like gaze based apps), put on your earphones and use its button for clicking/ dragging.
The browser is still undergoing heavy development (like making compatible VR keyboard in the next release isA, theater mode for 360 videos and other cools features ), but it's perfectly usable now. let me sum up the main current features:
-- Gyroscope based pointer. Move your head and use your earphones/handsfree/controller media button to click. You can perform continuous scrolling by dragging to the top/bottom of the screen. You can also use other configurations (like a USB keyboard/mouse using OTG cable, or a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, or bluetooth keyboard/mouse).
--From the options menu, use the calibration settings to get the ideal configuration for your cardboard or VR glasses for optimum VR/3D experience.
--Bookmarks. Before putting your phone into the cardboard, open all the links you need and add them to bookmarks. This way you won't have to remove it to type url. Do this until the VR keyboard is ready (in next release if Allah wills).
-- If you have a small screen, try decreasing the browser scale (in calibration settings) to show more content in the same area.
--A basic ad pop up blocking is in place to give you less hassle while browsing.
-- If you have a bluetooth VR controller, use the mouse mode (press "Fn + D"). You can drag continuously by holding left click down and using the analogue stick.
-- Sign up for a Cloud 9 IDE account. Happy coding
--Install X11VNC and connect to your remote machine using NOVNC.
-- Install a local server, like Palapa Web-server and install your tools. Now, control everything from the browser
Known Issues:
-- The normal soft-keyboard is not fit for VR browsing.
-- Can't use the gyroscope cursor to type.
Coming up next:
-- VR keyboard.
-- Theater mode (for 360 degree immersion and more video formats support).
-- Save/Load tabs from last times.
-- Most frequently visited launch screen.
-- Lens correction.
-- Mixed reality mode (have the browser in front of you, but see the camera feed when looking to the sides).
We think the VR Browser is a great idea, but we need you support and feedback to improve it and make everyone's experience a great one. Kindly try the application and tell us what you think.
Thanks a lot for your time and effort in advance

HP 614 Business Navigator my Italian video review

My Italian video review : http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=scOVnSQofmk
I'm really happy i've bought this PDA, it's the really All In One !!!!!
Sorry for whom doesn't understand my native language but i've done it
for italian Forums and i don't speak english as well
tip for the 600
hi grate video but I think you have missed the all point of the device by using icons touch etc
you have a sensor that can help you operate most of the device in one hand
as some may know i'm trying to make a group of tips for this device (something like I did with the 6900)
any way I will give you now one of my tips- a free app that some have seen on k-jam wm6 rom
http://freewareppc.com/utilities/quickmenu.shtml

}
download this freeware then extract the 3 files to a folder, copy to device (memory card ) and tap on the exe for installation, after doing so you can get anywhere on your device with the keyboard wheel
pressing the start button will let you use the app(launcher ) ,taping the start will let you use the os menu
by sliding your finger from center (key num 5) to the right (key num 6) will let you go foreword with the menus, sliding the finger to the left will get you back
if you have running apps that you want to close you will see them added to the launcher menu, and by sliding on them to the right (toward the X ) will close it or all
(you will see it best in action)
pressing the enter will get you into the running app
there is no best way to config your device so every thing is good, but you have a unique sensor so why not use it for a fully operation of the device by only one hand/finger
enjoy your device
ps - to exit the app go quickmenu/exit
Thanks for your suggests, as soon as possible i'll try your application

I'm sorry if I was misinterpreted (now when I read it looks bad , sorry )
same as you I'm not a native American.. ENG is not my strong field there for the mis….
spb shell ,htc-home…. apps are grate since they gather lots of functionalities and info for the user in a clear way for 2.8" screen and also it Is grate to show the guys at the near pub - moving icons like Iphone and not show them here " start/settings …."
the app I have pointed out is very light and can be add to your commonly used program
the thing with this program is that it helps you on your daily base use and emphasize the ipaq 600 uniqueness unlike touch app that are used on all ppc/pe and contribute to the user daily use at an equal way regardless of brand or abilities
It is like using the normal picture view of the device and not use the
"hp photosmart mobile" that has integrated functionality for zoom in zoom out and sliding a picture using the wheel sensor (and key num 5 sensor)
to cut things short try it, use it, but don't give up on having a flashy device with nice flying icons
this movie was not intended to demonstrate the interface but here … enjoy

definately trying this when i get home great work
Very cool, trying now Thanks!!!!
OMG!!! I wish I was not a student and had money to donate... This app is P E R F E C T!
THANKS A LOT!!!!
e.g. I tried it via Wi-Fi. Is it working with bluetooth?
well, it's working GREAT on my polaris... it reacts amazingly fast and is built very well.
some suggestions:
1. Add DPad support for media playing...
2. Add direct bluetooth connection instead of areal network.
3. Add timeline in media player to see progression of current track (and to go thru it)
4. Add support for winamp maybe..
i suggest you take a look at this app. i've been using it for quite a while now and it's very very useful.. doesn't react as well as yours and doesn't have as many options.. but it's usefulness is very noticable.. and it's bluetooth integration is important.

I was just wondering if its possible to add like a play list for the media control maybe? maybe it can refer to the media program thats open or have a plugin for say itunes or windows media player and it shows you whichever songs are on the current playlist? just a thought

Clock is truly missing (how about this in Chrome?)!

Hi,
I do not know how about you but I am missing simple/constant/bulit in clock in Modern UI mode.
In desktop mode (unless you hide taskbar) clock is always there for you in the right bottom corner...
In Modern UI we can add Clock Tile but it is not the same. As soon as you start an app it is gone .
I know there are many apps (like games) that (as in full screen desktop) will not display and should not display such an information. However apps like Mail, browser, etc. , let say all productivity ones should.
Any chances to get extension (perhaps one of you can write it?? ) that will display clock in Chrome when fired up in Modern UI mode as show on the picture:

This space in Chrome is not used for anything so it could nice display time What do you think?
I fully agree...!
If you bring up the charms bar the time is displayed
I know - but there is (in most cases) so much unused space on the screen that it should be there all the time.
Space on the tiles themselves could be used better as well
>I know - but there is (in most cases) so much unused space on the screen that it should be there all the time.
It's Metro's design language--having an ascetic interface with as little "chrome" as possible for a clean look. Having an on-screen clock would go against that.
There are a number of issues with Metro--one is the lack of visual hints that impedes discoverability, thereby decreasing user-friendliness. Constant-updating Live Tiles also run counter to the clean UI that ostensibly was for minimizing distractions.
One major complaint with Metro of course is that it's incomplete, and needs to invoke the desktop for many functions. The other biggie is the "business decision" of forcing Metro on users, and not allowing boot-to-desktop.
My personal beef against the Metro design is its use of horizontal scrolling for the main UI elements, notably the Start Screen and many of the Bing apps. Ergonomically, horizontal scroll is less efficient than vertical scroll, especially for text. Secondly, it limits the tablet to landscape mode, which is probably the intent, as all (16:9) Windows tablets work poorly in portrait. Fine for media, poor for readers or web surfing, or any use that involves long text.
Getting back to your point, Metro is as mentioned an incomplete implementation, and hopefully the next rev will expand on its functionality. I don't think a clock on the start screen is in the cards, however.
More intriguing is the possibility of a 3rd-party shell that can replace Metro at some point down the road. Assuming this touch UI thing doesn't flop completely on Win, I think that'll happen.

Introducing

Virtual Gamepad
https://www.youtube.com/embed/bvWmEMKOuyo
This feature lets you configure and layout your own Virtual Controller. You can move and re-size buttons, configure a joystick or gamepad and label your controls. It supports most of games and software in windowed mode by simulating different kinds of keyboard operations like shortcuts, joysticks and mouse click, etc.
Therefore, you can use it to play FPS games like Call of Duty, Minecraft or other Emulator games including PPSSPP.
Virtual Mouse
https://www.youtube.com/embed/rEeYTdbYoq4
Users can precisely control the mouse pointer on touch screen, just like using the touchpad on laptop. So it is so convenient that you control the windows program by touching the screen without real mouse, like doing efficient document work.
Video Assistant
https://www.youtube.com/embed/JTFOIUFp_wc
This function can let users control most of the video players by providing fast forward, backward, screen lock and light control and volume control with simple gestures, etc.
Night Mode
https://www.youtube.com/embed/y_F4D91CR5U
This feature provides users with customized transparent keyboard. And it can allow users to navigate IE browser in night mode and lower the lightness of the screen beyond the system Configuration.

Besides, Touch Anyway support Mem-cleaner with simple click and Efficient sleep, which can automatically turn off WIFI to save your tablet’s power and re-open the WIFI when you wake it up.
This APP is free,you can try for free forever even trial period is end,you just cannot get update and setting configuration.

Advices about remote

I have FireStick 4K, and it works great.
I have this remote:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And it works great, now i am interested in this remote:
But i am a couple of questions:
1. Will all buttons works great?
2. Can i change some buttons, for example netflix button to kodi or youtube
3. Can tv button just change imput to tv and that simply it?
If your 4k stick is on a recent firmware all the buttons will work.
Only buttons '1'+'2' can be reprogrammed. The channel buttons can't be officially reprogrammed. A couple can be reprogrammed unofficially.
The TV button takes you to the LiveTV app in FireOS.
Personally I don't think the cost of that remote is worth it. At this point it's more expensive that the 4k Stick itself.
If you root the 4k Stick and use the Exposed Edge app, you can can remap all the buttons on your current remote. Including double taps and long button presses, on screen shortcuts, recent apps.
But you won't get the remote finder, BT listening and backlit buttons, if that's what you are primarily after.
Thank you for your answer.
What is most annoying for me is when i want to chance imput from firestick to tv, i must get tv remote to press this, i wanted this on firestick remote. Thats most annoying from me.

If mainly want to change the HDMI / input port you should already be able to do that with your current remote.
Go through the FireOS settings / equipment control setup. This will teach the FireTV how to switch HDMI ports. Then you can press the Alexa/voice button and say 'switch to HDMI2' or 'switch to TV' etc
How to switch TV inputs with the Fire TV or Firestick remote
Among the discussions of the new Fire TV remote that was just released, several people said they wished that Amazon added an input button for changing their TV's input.

thank you but i dont want to say anything, i just want to type button.
