I need some help to root my huawei mate 9pro.
I have factory reset my phone and forget to backup some photos,and every recovery program i use they tell me to root my device first.
If someone can tell me how to root it or how i can get my photos back tell me pls
It have "android 7.0 nougat"

I know i have to backup phone iemi and then root.
I see there is CF root but i cant see where to back up.
Can someone so kindle link me to a guide to backup photo and then a root guide please?

Do you want to backup your phone or backup photo?
Well you can copy your photo to ext sd or put it in you computer.
To fully backup your phone you must flash custom recovery to do nandroid backup.
To root your phone hmmmm let say google it. So many tutorial you can find.
Come on man dont be lazy.
If you want people to help you please provide your phone model, current rom or something. Yes you are using note 3, but which one?

Install TWRP recovery in Odin and use the automated EFS backup system. You don't need root for this, but it will inject root for you if you need it just before you click Reboot System..
Hey guys. I registered here a while ago, but this is my first post.
I recently updated my Huawei P8 Lite (ALE-L04) to lollipop. Anyways, I want to unlock the bootloader and root my phone, but to even start that I need drivers for my computer to detect my phone. I tried installing HiSuite and it couldn't detect my phone. Can anyone provide me some links on where to download the proper drivers for my computer to be able to detect my phone please? As far as unlocking the bootloader and rooting the phone, I think I can do that part (Huawei has a tutorial for it I think). Any help would be great. Thanks!

Thank you very much guys. I unlocked the bootloader for my phone now. Huawei only provided the tutorial for unlocking the bootloader.
I tried the rooting method for ALE-L21, but that doesn't work for ALE-L04. On one of the steps where it says I should be in a black screen recovery mode (no GUI), I get a white screen recovery asking me to connect my phone to my computer and run HiSuite. I did search around (not too deep) and couldn't find a solid method of rooting for the ALE-L04.

kingroot only works on 4.4.4, for 5.1 you have to flash supersu through TWRP
I've tried Kingo Root and it failed (before knowing that it doesn't support lollipop).

For the process of root is very simple to follow first thing you should do is meet all the requirements we set for you below:
Requirements for the Huawei Android root Y6
1. Your Huawei Y6 must have its battery charged.
2. If you have important data creates a backup, the process does not erase anything but if you have a serious accident might have to reset Android.
3. In your Huawei Y6 unknown option activates Sources from Settings> Security.
4. In the same area search section Information> About phone, here are looking for the build number and go to the next step.
5. Download the corresponding version of KingRoot (If your phone can not root appears not listed):
KingRoot 4.5.2: SCL-L01C432B130, SCL-L01C150B140
KingRoot 4.6.5: SCL-L02
KingRoot 4.6.5: SCL-L03C25B130
KingRoot 4.8.0: SCL-U31C185B140 (Bootloader Unlocked)
6. Copy the .apk file downloaded to the external memory of your phone.

There is an application pay SuperSU-ME and its function is to replace kingroot by SuperUS. Only you would have to prove it.

For some unknown reason this solution does not seem to work everytime on this types.
But better give it a try
You do not need to unlock your phone.
Just install :

UPDATE : known versions of Kingroot working : succeeded feedback by other members but not always succesfull.
SCL-L01 4.5.2 Build : SCL-L01C432B130, SCL-L01C150B140

SCL-L03 4.6.5 Build : SCL-L03C25B130
SCL-U31 4.8.0 Build : SCL-U31C185B140 (but with unlocked bootloader)
(another user : with unlocked bootloader, sim card out, wifi ON, Kingroot 4.8.0 = success)
I suggest you try all versions when above list is not working for you. You'll never know ...
Feel free to post your rooted phone's BUILD number please to help others.

if possible, not if you have the version SLC 03 You can have root access without unlocking the bootloader.

I have just bought a Huawei Y6 and the dev section reads as follow:
MODEL NUMBER: HUAWEI SCL-L01
BUILD NUMBER: SCL-L01C432B170
But I cannot root it at all. I have not installed anything into it, my phone is clean!
I have tried to use KingRoot, both on the mobile and the PC version; also tried RootGenius 2.2.6
I have used them with the SIM AND without the SIM... With the SD and without the SD... With both of them and without...
But still no root.
I don't know what and if I did something wrong.
Someone have an idea? Please?

Im very disapionted and frustrated and i will be gratefull for help.
Im trying to root my Huawei P Smart.
Last three days im trying but without solve!
Few weeks ago i rotted my older phone samsumsg galaxy Note 4 folowing the video tutorial and works great.
But with this phone i simply cant..
Im not that experienced but im trying to understand and find the way where should by myslatake.
I followed many videos on youtube .
Firstable i unlock the Bootloader and FDR.
after that i nstall new drivers to my PC. then i run CMD there problem starts..ADB - out of date killing..I fixed but when i copy TWPR in to the CMD that telling me the Failed problem with a partition.
I as well try king root ,kingo root from pc and from android phone too..
Always frozen by 1% king root. Kingo root 90% black screen and as well teling me there is virus.
Anyone can please spend some time and help me?

but with some reason when i installing Magisk zip and rebooting system doesnt shows in a phone and root checker telling me the phone is not root.

Seeing as the old method to unlock the bootloader is dead, I was thinking what's the process I need to take to install Android 9, as I've seen custom roms that run that, and I'm more than willing to try to do it with proper gidance. I'd like to know full details, what steps I must take in order to achieve it and where I can get the files I need. Also, a backup plan to retore the phone in case of bricking and things like that. I've seen the megathread, but it's old and outdated now. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
