Notification bar - ZTE Axon 7 Mini Questions & Answers

My mom just got this phone yesterday and in the notification bar it says 123456 on the left side. I have done some searching and not seeing anything about it.
Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it?

the left side should only be displaying what carrier the phone uses. try turning the phone off and re-seating the SD card. also, make sure you have the card in the 1st slot, as this phone is a dual sim setup.

[Q] Micro SD Problem

Hello everyone. I have tried searching for a fix to this problem on this forum as well as Google but have not found anything. If I overlooked it somehow I apologize in advance.
My Vibrant shows an exclamation point on the top right next to my 16gb SD card icon. I can mount and unmount the card without issues. I can retrieve data, drag & drop as well as access the card without issue. I tried reformatting, shutting the phone down and reinserting the card and nothing seems to help.
I am running everything stock on my Vibrant, no root, themes or mods of any sort. My pc does not have a card reader installed. I do all the formatting through the Vibrant.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

i suspect reason no one has responded is that it's not clear what the problem is -
you indicate "I can retrieve data, drag & drop as well as access the card without issue." which would indicate no problem
assuming you do like i do occasionally, ie speed type, and that the issue you can not retrieve data or drag & drop, one suggestion would be to ask - did you format in the FATS 32 format or NTSC
the samsung requires FATS 32
I just used the Vibrant to format the card so I'm assuming it is FAT 32.
The only problem I have is the exclamation next to the SD card icon on the top right of the screen, aside from that, everything seems to work fine. I just don't know why it's there or if it will cause trouble in the future.
Does it look like a triangle at the home screen? If so, that just means you have debug mode enabled. In general, you want debug mode enabled, because it allows you to connect the phone via ADB and PDAnet. If you want to turn it off, just slide down the notifications and select the exclamation point to turn it off.
There are probably some times you want it off, but I cannot think of any right now.
If this icon is in the notification, what does the notification menu tell you the issue is? I'm also guessing it's the red triangle with ! in it which is the debugging mode on icon.
Here is a screenshot of mine. See the top, left corner.
I do have debugging on but that's not the exclamation I'm worried about. Check out the screen.
That's not your SD, it's your SIM.
According to the manual, that icon "Displays when there is no SIM card in the phone."
I had a similar issue where my SD card & internal store (save for dedicated app space) was unreadable. This is doesn't sound like your issue. But if it is, I had to return the phone. They were very understanding.

Nothing happens after inserting sim card

I just got a tmobile galaxy tab and when I insert the sim card in the slot, nothing happens. I heard it is supposed to reboot and then I will have a signal but right now it doesn't reboot and doesn't show signal.
I tried powering off and on but I still get just a circle with a line across on the top bar instead of a signal.
Is there something wrong with my sim slot?
hi
check if you inserted the sim card the correct way.
on my tab the mini symbol on the sim card slot doesnt equal the way the sim card should be inserted.
check the manual for correct instructions
edit:
i had the same problem at first.
inserted sim, nothing happend, turned it around nothing happend, looked in the manual, inserted it like pictured, and the tab rebootet and it works.
i dont remember how it should be inserted, and i cant look right now. sorry.
(excuse my bad english)
Same here. It lets you think you have put it in the correct way but if nothing is happening, chances are you have not got it in right. Flip it 180 degrees and push it in with you finger nail. The tab will detect it.
I did research to see how to insert and I have inserted it correctly (numbers and logo on top, gold contact on the bottom)
but nothing happens, it doesn't reboot, it doesn't show signal. The "mobile networks" in the Settings menu is greyed out.
I am going crazy here. What am I doing wrong?

did you inserted it with the "bigger" or "smaller"(the one where the corner is cut) side first? ( sorry but i dont know how to describe it ;-)
i checked mine, you got to insert it whith the chip facing down, and the "smaller"(cutted) side first.
hope it helps!
yes I did that. I inserted with the cut piece first and gold contacts on bottom. It is the only way to insert it and fully go inside.

Notification icon won't go away!

This icon is always on!
It says "Zone" underneath it
I am in my zone
Apparently ,this has something to do with the SIM Toolkit
I tried stopping the SIM Toolkit service and the icon disapears... together with my phone connection. Then it auto-restarts back again
So after doing a factory reset and everything I could think of trying, I got my cell carrier, Videotron, to replace my cellphone, brand new, unopen box, new SIM card, new SD card and all... Well guess what... the icon is still there... on the brand new phone

NO SIM Card Inserted

Hey,
I keep getting this annoying message " NO SIM Card Inserted " and my trick is to turn the Airplane mode on/off for a couple of times so the SIM card is recognized again. But this is getting worse, I'm having this error the 4th time today and having to switch the airplane mode on/off for countless times before it works.
Anyone else having this problem?
Should I get my tab to service?
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100, Android 4.0.3 stock
Noboby having this issue?
I have it too. I think it's just the default message if there is no sim card inserted. When you put one in, it goes away. I don't really mind it. What I DO mind is a "--" symbol in the bottom notification bar. I used to be able to see the Weatherbug Temp or the Battery status percentage there, now I can't. Can't figure out how to get rid of it. (--)
Maybe I wasn't that clear, but I have an Orange sim in it.
Yesterday this problem with the sim was worst than ever so I'm going to Orange for a fix. Hoping that another sim will just do the trick.
i got a broken sim once after some rooting and flashing custom rom's
in my case it was clear the sim (because everithing worked well with an other sim)
and my sim was relay old (around 7 years). So try with another from a friend and you know. :good:
So it seems that I had a faulty sim and everything is ok since I got a new one. Problem solved.

Whats this statusbar icons?

It seems sometimes
Whats this?

SIM still might be damaged or not sitting properly in the tray.
Interesting. I had this show up a month or so ago. I pulled the card out, popped it out of the tray and placed it back in, and then inserted it again. That lasted until today where I had to do it again. Same thing. Makes me wonder if it's something about the connection to the card or something about the phone itself. Is it still doing this for you or did you resolve the issue?
The problem is over by itself
It does not look anymore
