Today is the day folks!
I've been holding off on purchasing a Galaxy S8 until the HTC 11U was released. I'm looking forward to trying this phone out.
Press release date was today, 05-16-2017. As of 15:25 EST today the phone is available to pre-order at U.S. HTC.com website.
Site is HTC.com/us. I can't post any links as of yet!
Current cost for the phone is $649.00. Only available options: Different colors - Black, Silver, And Blue (unlocked model)
PROMO CODES - LOVEU11, JUST4U11, ONLY4U11 - These $50 discount promo codes have been identified by a couple of sources online so I thought that I'd post them here. They should work for the unlocked, Sprint, and Verizon versions of the U11 purchased via HTC's website.

I'm considering picking this up, but I just picked up a Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom and it is working out fine so far. I am going to wait on the audio reviews as although the sound is decent on my 10's speakers, they aren't terribly loud. The U11 is supposedly twice as loud and quite a bit better sounding. If they offer $100 off like they did with the 10 then I will probably pull the trigger on an unlocked sapphire blue as I am finding 5.5in to be a good size for my screen and the waterproofing would be nice. I just wish they still offered the $100 rebate for not using Uh Oh like they did with the M8 and M9.

Ordered the Amazing Silver as soon it went live on the US store. I have the pixel XL, GS8 and LG G6. Very anxious to get an HTC again and compare it with the top contenders. I like to see all the things HTC did with this device but lack of carrier support will kill them in the USA.. Way way to many people still buy there phones only from the carriers and 99% of businesses do as well.. But I hope they do well!!

Follow the elevate twitter account. Every so often theyll post they are accepting new members and theyll post a link to sign up but they only let so many people in. Thats what I did.

I got a preauthorization of .99 on my card then a -.99. Did you use paypal? I just used my card no paypal.

I'll be looking for the comparisons of the G6, GS8, and HTC U11. I currently have the Pixel and the other two phones are available to me at T-Mobile so I hope i made the right choice with HTC (again). Good thing is that HTC hasn't let me down yet as I've had M7, M8, M9, and M10 and I really don't have any major complaints.

Same lol. Nice tidbit, if you want to see a little bit more info or need to cancel your order, google Digital river order lookup and you can do it from their site. Learned this with the HTC 10. I think with my 10 it also showed preparing to ship on there before htcs website showed.

The problem that I am currently having with that site is that they are asking for either order number (have) and password (don't have) OR email (have) and last 4 of CC (used Paypal Credit) so I can't get either to work for me

Preordered last night through Sprint. They were running $22.75/mo for preorder special. I'm a long time Sprint customer, so -$10/mo, bringing it down to $12.75/mo with two year contract. This phone is what I've been waiting for. I'm an all weather cyclist in Minnesota. With IP67 I won't have to bag or case the phone to avoid sweat or rain ruining it. And in the winter I can use the squeeze capability to shoot picks with gloves on. I've been on HTC since the original Hero. I've always liked their build quality, and over the years they've stripped sense down to the point that it's pretty bare bones. People complain about the "big" bezel, but I couldn't care less. Looking forward to getting my hands on this thing.

I called them and they say everything looks good on their side which I don't believe since PayPal credit shows no activity and also no email from PayPal.
Oh well I'll just wait and if it doesn't go thru when they start shipping I'll just leave it alone and think I saved some money
By the way HTC customer care is clueless just like every other companies customer care.

I've had a past issue with ordering from HTC.com. They had sent me an address confirmation email for my order and I completely missed it. Because of this they cancelled my order but never told me/sent me an email. I only found out because everyone else was getting their shipping notifications and I didn't so then I called and was told to just re-order. The phone then took almost 4 additional weeks to come in

I just did a pre-order for black, using the ONLY4U11 coupon to save $50.
Now, I wonder if the blue might be nicer. I'm male, and in some pics the phone looks purple, in the configurator, the color swatch is a royal blue. Black is safe, as I'd rather not spend the next two years with a purple phone.
No idea which might be better for long term livability.
EDIT: I chatted with a chat-bot CSR and he confirmed that the color is Sapphire Blue. That's a nice color when it comes from Porsche. If the phone looks like that, i could enjoy it. Unfortunately, once an order is places it can't be changed.
It's very nice that they include noise-cancelling Bose-like headphones and a clear case.
Gonna miss wireless charging from the G3. Can't believe a 2017 phone has no wireless charging.

I had the same thoughts as you! This will be my first color phone that wasn't black, white, or gray(ish). I had the black color in the cart but then I changed my mind and thought that I'd give HTC's Sapphire Blue a try :good: Time will tell if it was a good idea.

Yep confirmed, just placed another​ order for sapphire blue now since silver was out of stock and immediately got the email from PayPal about the charge and then confirmation from HTC.
So will have to settle for sapphire blue instead of silver now???

The reason I went with silver was because I had the u ultra in sapphire blue, so wanted a new color but thanks to HTC screw up on my silver order I'm back to blue now.

Actually, after that whole adventure trying to change the order, I just ordered a Sapphire Blue, as well.
I'll compare them both, and return whichever I don't like. if I turn it around in the 20 day period, it should never hit interest on my credit card.
I'm actually interested in seeing both.

That's very poor customer service, the orders that were placed should be honored. The customers aren't responsible for making sure that your prices are correct. Expansys has em $5 cheaper than the regular price anyways.
Looks like an honest mistake, happens all the time. They corrected it and apologized, what more do you want? So many entitled whiny babies out there

They probably got on their site statistics and saw a huge traffic increase from XDA. So they came here and to try and suppress it. Bad business practice.

I'll bet if you were one of the people that ordered one you'd be thinking a lot differently. I would expect the same from any other company, you list a price, you sell it for that price. If it's a mistake then it's your mistake and responsibility to fulfill the orders placed at that price.-
A honest mistake? No.
Even when updating their store database and pricing discounts... you have type in the discount or select it... then you have to accept or save. Some one was incompetent. A honest mistake would have been corrected before they saved the update on pricing.
Give me a break, people. A business is not required to honor a price mistake, plain and simple. You received an apology and entitled to nothing more. Stop whining already.

But the main reason I haven't bought from them so far is precisely because I've read similar stories over the web because many times they won't honor prices, coupons, pre-order prices or some "in stock" items not really being in stock after ordering.
Additionally they won't fix wrong and misleading information even if you report it, for example check their Optimus 2X P990H product page and you'll see that they are showing instead pictures of the slimmer Optimus Black P970H... even though I personally reported the mistake by chat months ago...

dude i was one of the victims who have placed an order and now I have to wait a ages (they said 14 days, google checkout calculation or whatever) until my funds become available to me..none of this **** would have happen if their dumbasses were careful enough to actually run their business..I have called my bank and they said to wait till mon or tue for the funds to become available..if not then they said they will file a dispute with google (i used google checkout) I will never ever use negrielectrotics period

Honestly didn't expect to have this type of response. You seem to have an issue with the way we handled this, however we are very transparent with our actions. Due to limited stock and the extremely high cost the coupon was to be excluding the newly released HTC One X. However, the coupon was set up incorrectly. Unlike other companies we came here to admit our mistake and alert you of the issue. We could have simply told you they where out of stock, and "thanks for trying", but we felt being honest and up front would be the proper way to go.
In writing the initial post we would have never thought to be called profanities and honestly never intended to anger anyone to the point of not returning to shop with us. We could choose to be like all the other companies you would rather by from, but we aren't. When we make a mistake we admit it. And our mistake was not caught by the "traffic spike" that XDA sent us, as there was none. Your post reached 2 people before we were able to alert the others. As you can see in your replies it's the same ex-customers calling the names.
There is one thing that some one should explain to you; and it will make you a better person. The companies that you speak to this way, are ran by real people just like you. Each person has a personality, feelings, and cares for you as a customer. Simply because you feel protected by your computer screen doesn't give you the right to call someone profane names and treat (whether a company or employee) Us with disrespect. There are companies out there that will do anything you want, and you can treat them however you please. This isn't one. Respect is something that is earned, not given.
There is one thing to be upset, it's another to insult someone here to update you on the situation. We understand you are angry and will not shop with us again, but others will, and be happy they received the same service you decided never to experience again.

Your money is held by Google Checkout for a period of 7 days. For instance, someone placed an order today at 7:54 amand their order reads Expires Apr 14, 2012 7:54:58 AM PDT. Sorry for the issue. Handtech may tolerate you speaking to them this way. Our previous post addresses your concern regarding the authorization which was taken by Google Checkout. Stock is still available and you are able to purchase still at a better price than the competition, with free shipping and no import/duties tax. I assure you, like any other company you have or will ever shop at, they will all make mistakes.

I'd rather a company be transparent with me.
Does Negri charge before the products are shipped? I'm sure a lot of this could have been advert if charged when it was being shipped from the facility.

It's standard practice to cancel orders if there's a pricing mistake. Happens on Amazon and a lot of big name retailers. Dunno why you guys are making such a big deal out of it.

Just ordered mine in Gunmetal Grey (only color available, for some reason) through AT&T. Free overnight shipping, but the order says it won't ship until sometime between the 28th and the 1st.
Just got off the phone with AT&T - told them I was going to cancel my line ($145 ETF) unless they could do something for me as I wasn't up for renewal until September 2014. They renewed my line with the $199 pricing, priority shipping, and waived activation fee. I'm quite happy with them right now. Very excited to get back on Android (currently using iPhone 5, don't ask lol).

I got a new pending charge on my credit card yesterday, and my shipping notification last night for delivery on Monday. Today that pending charge has completely disappeared, but I thought it would finalize when it shipped. Is anyone else seeing this?

This is very common with cards ran as credit. You'll see an authorization charge, it will fall off then the actual charge appears. Rest assured, they will get their money and you will be given a final charge. Don't spend that money elsewhere unless you like overdraft charges

Don't worry, I don't think any one is really worried about TMOBILE locking their bootloader -we'll know for sure on Monday -no one can know for sure until we get our phones - but there is a high probability it will not be locked.
I changed the shipping to pick up, I'm there first thing Monday morning! UPS usually delivers at 4pm, can't wait that long.

Those of you worrying about your shipping status... I read in another thread if you open a free UPS account (yes without opening an actual shipping account), UPS will ask you to verify your identity by taking a quick survey. Once your label is printed, your tracking number show up. I did this yesterday and it just so happens that my label was created the same day. Lol
My work pre-ordered the note 4 for me in the tmobile store on September 27, they chose regular ground shipping, does this mean I get my shipping upgraded to next day ups? I don't have access to the tmobile site to get the tracking code. Did anyone here get their shipping upgraded when pre ordering in-store? Or is that only for people who ordered online or through phone?
I preordered at store , did ground shipping. It shipped this morning and I will get it Monday. I'm in fl and it left KY. So we got lucky and didn't pay over night.

Go to ups.com then, go to, track by reference number which would be the phone number you ordered the phone for, if a shipping lable has been created ,that will give you an idea.
That's what i did and, sure enough, that's how i found out mine was getting ready to ship.
Even after that, my tmobile was telling me it was on backoredered but, yet, there it was, fixing to ship, which it did at 5:30am this morning.:good:
I will have mine on monday by 3pm.

Google canceled my order for no reason !

I preordered 32gb Black pixel XL the minute it was announced on the 4th.
Everything went through fine and I got a confirmation email of the order.
Then I notice that there are no funds on hold in my account .
I think nothing of it and figure they will hold funds when it ships .
Fast forward to Monday the 17th .
I call customer service to inquire when I should receive my phone and why there isn't a hold on my bank account for the funds.
They tell me that I should receive the phone between the 26-28 of October .
And that I will be charged when it ships.
That my order is processing and every is fine .
Last night I get an email from Google saying that my order has been cancelled.
It states to reason as to why ....
So I call customer service , they tell me its a billing issue and transfer me to google wallet .
We verify that my billing and mailing addresses match and they do .
Next we get on a 3 way call with my bank to see if their were any declines from their end .
Once again nothing , the bank has no record of google ever making any attempt to charge it hold funds.
The customer service representative from wallet says " well everything looks fine , so you should go ahead and place an order again "
I said to them it's sold out , how do you want me to do that .
They had no answer for that .
Then she transfered me to the ordering department .
I went back and forth with them about what took place , they escalated it to a tier 2 person , in which they told me to join the waiting list .
This is complete bull**** , they canceled my order for no reason and now I have to get on a waiting list for a phone that i ordered and got confirmation was shipping next week .
What can I do at this point ?

That sucks. One thing to try is pleading on twitter. Many companies hate when you make something public on social media so you may get a better response.

Contacted them via phone and chat and was told something happened in the system and a bunch of orders got cancelled and that there was nothing they could do about it. Absolutely ridiculous! Having ordered over two weeks ago only to get on a wait list now and probably not get the free VR headset!? Really wish this was a regular retail store so I could take my business elsewhere.

So far it doesn't seem like it. All I have been told is that I need to get on the wait list. That is unacceptable as it looks like it will push the order out 1-2months and we would be screwed out of the VR headset. I just called back myself to try talking to someone else or a manager if needed. They said they had to check on something and they would call me back in 5 minutes (we shall see if they do).
The only acceptable resolution for me is for them to reinstate the order and get it shipped out soon as well as still providing the codes for the headsets . After committing to spend over $1600 with Google for two phones I think that is fair on my part.
If you are getting the 32GB, it often goes back on sale multiple times a day. I say 1/3 times I checked the 32GB is available, the 128GB is the hard one. Just keep checking and you will be able to order another one. I used their financing, that might help too if you can, don't have to deal with another bank. No reason not to at 24 mo, 0% interest. Saves yourself a tiny bit through the time value of money.

I used the Google financing and the order was still cancelled! I have 3 different email addresses set on the wait list since I am trying to get 2 phones. I am constantly checking to see if I can grab one. If I can get an order in for two by tomorrow I will be satisfied. Not happy, but satisfied.

You will get a hard inquiry in your credit report, that was the reason I didn't finance.

Yes you will, that is the only down side, so make sure you have no problem with your credit being affected by that.

I just called back again and pressed the issue. They finally escalated the issue but this just means they emailed me to tell me I would hear back in 1-2 business days. I made it clear that this defeats the purpose as by then the preorder is over and I loose the headsets.
Not holding my breath here though.

Escalated and awaiting an email ... Meanwhile the phone launches at best buy and Verizon tomorrow.

yeah, really blows. I don't want any other phone but really need a new one. I really don't want to buy from VZW or anyone else with their fingers in things. Worst case I wait until they are available again but I am still going to be very bitter about being screwed out of 2 VR headsets.

just a heads up. I called Google the other day to ask about the pre order promotion. I said specifically that I wanted to take advantage of it but was afraid that I would miss it because the window was closing.
The rep from Google told me not to worry that "no matter when you order, if you get this phone, you get a headset".
Verizon seems to be doing the same thing. I called them and they gave me a promo code over the phone they said you just need to activate a phone to use the promo. Doesn't seem to matter when you buy.
I think it was setup this way just to build hype.

It definitely isn't everyone. I have a buddy who ordered one the same day and he also financed with Google. His order has not been cancelled as of now. Granted he did get the regular Pixel so maybe it is related to the XL only?
They claimed to me on the phone that two nights ago at 3am something happened and the orders had issues/got cancelled and that it happened to many orders.

T-mobile rep here (speaking unofficially). The s8 and s8+ both require a down payment. The 30 for the s8 and the 130 for the s8+ is required to ensure the monthly payments dont exceed 30 per mo. From what we have access to in tech there is not a way to waive the deposit needed unfortunately. I am fairly sure this applies with all departments as well.
If you want $0 down , try Costco .
Costco will take tax only on EIP T Mobile phone , doesnt matter required down base on device or credit type .
My credit just begining and not so good , T Mobile store required 50% on all device from iOS to Android . I went to Costco , all my 4 lines and 4 device on my account just paid tax only .

Oh **** I didn't notice pre order start tonight!!! I wonder how TMobile will handle my JOD since I just Jumped to the G6!! They probably gonna give me hell since the G6 is not out yet and it has been more than 14days
Unlocked??
I called and asked to see what info I could get and was told that T-mobile will unlock the phone after it's paid in full and also must be on T-mobile service for 40 days.... Then I asked if it will be SIM or Bootloader unlocked ( I knew the Rep would be lost there and I was right) and got no real answer....
I wasn't expecting any miracles by asking a rep but wanted to give it a go anyway.... Hopefully people here can add more info as we go along...
Also thanks for starting this thread Charlie, I was here with ya when we were riding out the Note 7 last year...That was fun.... I expect these next few weeks to be more of the same...LOL!!!

Yeah I'm on the phone with them now. I have the G6 but will pre order tonight. None of the reps seem to understand that I have the phone now.
Was just told I can jump to the S8 just have to trade my G6 in within 30 days.

This $130 down is complete BS.
It totally destroys the idea of jumping from phone to phone.. who wants to pay $100+ each time they get a new phone + $30 a month.
Please call T-mobile and tell them you do not like this at all!!!
