Edge Feeds (Like LL/MM) - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Guides, News, & Discussion

Honestly, I'm not sure how interested I am in pursuing this further, but I found it interesting that I have been able to come close to getting working edge feeds on our devices.

I used the same technique that was effective for me in Edge AutoCocktail to enable the feature on flat devices (note4/5, s6/7).
But it's buggy. As above, you can see the bottom portion of the lockscreen under the blocking panel. And even though I can download and install feeds, I can't see or enable them.... probably needs a modified services.jar and/or cocktail.apk
Anyway, I kinda like AOD, and I don't have the skill to mod java...just posting what's possible.

Hey Mr. Rugged, good to see ya here! Getting my S8+ on Monday - was going to hold out for the Note 8 but couldn't resist..
Understand that this would be time-consuming, but I loved your app on the S6E+ and will follow any progress?

I can't believe I've been wasting time for that ugly pos, and no Iam not a woman, but that is just ugly and who uses physical keyboards on phones anymore? Also smaller screen.
I am hoping this is all mis information, over at BGR there are more pictures, but no branding I could see that confirmed this is for AT&T. If the Attain is a slider than I will have to look some where else. It would be a HUGE disappointment.
Well I have the unbranded version already. The added keyboard just make me want ATT version even less.

[APP] Talking Alarm / Morning Briefing

What is it:
Its a minimalist app, designed to emulate Briefing option in touchwiz based samsung devices.
A while ago I switched to CM on my Note 2 and this was the feature that I missed the most.
For those who haven't used it, its essentially does one thing, and one thing only: Instead of ringtone/alert/songs, it dynamically grabs news/stocks and reads it to you.
It does not replace or the stock alarm functionality. Instead it works with it. You can turn it on and off independently. Also, it is much more flexible and customizable compared to sammy briefing.
It is a WIP so if you encounter any bug or issues, do let me know.
Feature requests are also welcome.
Grab it from Google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.parsecgames.dynamicringtone

PS: sorry about the naming. I'm still working on it. If you have any ideas regarding what it should be called, do share.

Trying to find certain asks that will stay on screen always.

My question may sound confusing but I'm looking for asks that will always stay on my screen.
The purpose of this us to get rid of the status bar in which I feel is so expired but should still pull down when there is a notification. Anyways here's is what I got so far

I have the battery always showing which is nice. Now if I could have a time one I'll be happy. A date one and signal is a plus but not nessassary. Sorry I can't spell.
It's like how windows phone is set up how you can use your full screen but still know what's going on with your phone at a glance which I'd what I'm trying to aim for.

Cool... any way to get this on regular roms?
This would be incredibly useful when at Work and you just need quick access to limited phone features!
Do you have more info about this. It seems a bit incomplete, what's your point with this ?
Nice i like this.
Is there a dump for this Rom?
This would be a fantastic feature for when at work and only need a simple UI to stop you from being distracted
EDIT:
Did some digging, here is a thread on XDA for this feature with the Droid DNA
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2693476
You can enable it by flashing the simplelauncher
Made a thread for it in the VZW forums but it should work on any variant as long as your running a sense based Rom or stock

Remove/disable quick-setting toggles (not just S-finder and quick connect)?

I use Power Toggles from the market making the quick-settings toggles unneeded and a huge waste of space. I have searched and tested every S5 xsposed module, but none of them provide the option for removal. Has anyone figured this out yet?
Thanks
You can remove the single line in Alliancerom leaving the button that shows all in place just in case you wanted something

Hiding the top row would be perfect, unfortunately Alliance rom is not yet available on sprint. Can you explain how it's done?
