Information comes from the config files present in /system/etc/customization/modem/
We have made this a bit more readable than in those config files.
Based on 1st system image 45.0.A.1.229 for Xperia™ XZ Premium (G8141). Will update the tables when changes in upcoming builds.

Following is analysis of the CA combinations available in the big table. Highlights of where you can expect the most most performance out your XZ Premium or where are artificial caps set by Sony limiting the LTE CA capability.
Good news
XZ Premium is 4CA (4 LTE bands aggregated) ready(allowed from device side) in following countries and operators.
Using B20-B7-B3-B1 in Germany, France, United Kingdom ,Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey. Czechia - Vodafone, Poland - Play, Switzerland - Swisscom, Moldova - Orange, Poland - Orange, Romania - Orange and Slovakia - Orange.
Using B7-B7-B3-B3 in Taiwan, Singapore and 1O1O/One2Free/New World Mobility and CSL in Hong Kong.
Using B7-B5-B3-B1 in South Korea (except Olleh)
Using B8-B7-B3-B1 in Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and SmarTone-Vodafone in Hong Kong.
Also. 4CA via 2+2 Contiguous bands
Using B7+B7+B3+B3 (7CA-3C and 7C-3CA) in Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Australia and New Zealand. Czechia - Vodafone, Poland - Play and Switzerland - Swisscom.

Quick answer: Yes
3 of T-Mobile bands are supported by XZ Premimum

If you load up US sim in the phone, then it will use the CA combinations from "usa_mccs" list.
Initially you will not have VoLTE for calling for sure.

Hello everybody,
I've just brought a brand new LG E900 phone from Movistar Spain but I want to use it here in Lima-Perú, everything is fine with the phone except... the 3G, the phone can navigate using Wifi and EDGE but I can't activate the 3G.
I have tried setting up the APNusing Claro 3G parameters: claro.pe, user: claro and password: claro but the 3G still not working yet, the 3G band here in Peru is 1900 and that phone is compatible.
I already tried using MFG application to change the APN, I tried changing the operator network (from the list of operator around the world) but Claro Peru is not in the list.
Guys, please help me, what can I do in order to activate 3G in this phone? I can't stand EGDE speed, it's terrible!!!.

First of all, you're posting this in the wrong forum - there's a separate Optimus 7 forum for device specific questions.
Now, if your version of the Optimus 7 is indeed physically compatible with the local 3G band, you should be able to fix it in the MFG app: Engineering --> Modem Setting --> Band Setting.
the LG E900 is from Europe. the E900 3g wont work with Claro or movistar bands.the only network that will work with the E900 with 3g is Nextel with the new 3g Nextel Chip. for movistar o claro you should get the E900H
I think it's not true. I have an European E900 and I use here in Brazil without any problem. I used the same phone in Argentina and Canada too, again without any problem.

well im sorry to tell you but im from peru and i will show you why the E900 wont work with Claro or Movistar.
first. Claro and movistar use the wcdma(umts) 850 band.
second. the LG E900 works with wcdma(umts) 900, 1900, 2100 bands. so theres no way that i know to make it work with the 850 band.
third. the LG E900H works with wcdma(umts) 850 and 1900 bands, so this is the phone that will work with claro or movistar.
i tell your this cuz i have a Lg E900 and I did my research, i have it working with Nextel 3g that use wcdma(umts) 1900 band.
i hope I answer all your questions.
i do recommend you to try the nextel 3g plans. they are the best in the market right now.

well i guess its about hardware. since there are 2 models. the E900 and E900H. i got the E900 from Movistar Spain. Movista is selling the E900H in lima. so im guessing the E900 if for Europe market and the E900H is for the "hispanic" market? in any case the E900 dont have the band for 3g in movistar.

I specifically meant UMTS bands... I have used my LG E900h in Europe on the 900 band.
Check out the repair manuals for both models. They both have the same modem.

The bands are software locked, and you can either set the right profile for your network (if available), or you can go and activate a specific band through MFG.

totally agree with you. i have the E900 and it work with the new Nextel 3g band. but not with movistar o claro... it just wont work. you will ger edge but not 3g. is not about the GSM band... 3g use the WCDM or UMTS bands...

CANADA, U.S. (At&t, T-MOBILE), MEXICO (TELCEL), ARGENTINA (MOVISTAR), URUGUAY (ANTEL), PUERTO RICO (at&t), ETC.
To date are only four models of Windows Phone 8 with support for LTE networks in BC4 (the LTE Band Class 4, is the key band in many operators in America, but not to all) , whose band is used for LTE in Canada, Mexico Telcel LTE and the upcoming LTE network fron TMoUS
Should be mentioned that at&t has the license for the BC4, but not yet implemented (at least commercially), and so far at&t only uses its LTE in BC17 (the band 17 should not interest anyone outside of at&t). Even so, the at&t´s LTE devices releases are still very relevant to another countries like Mexico and another some countries in Latin America, becauser ther LTE devices that are made for at&t in addition to the band 17, also include support for LTE in the band 4, which is the band that is used by several american carriers. LTE devices from Canada work also in BC4
WP DEVICES WITH LTE IN BC4:
For now, WP8 devices supporting LTE Band 4, are:
-HTC Windows Phone 8x (check that it is the GSM version with LTE in BC4, not to be confused with Verizon´s HTC 8x, nor the global version without LTE). There are variants of 8Gb and 16Gb of storage.
-Samsung Ativ S GT-i8750 (not to be confused with the version GSM/CDMA). With variants of 16 or 32 GB of storage
-Nokia Lumia 920.2 [RM-820]. Not to be confused with the Lumia 920 RM-821 which supports other LTE bands (European and others)

At the moment, I have no information if some trick is needed to operate the LTE in another network for which it was designed, (of course, assuming that both the device and the network has the appropiated LTE band, but the smartphones mentioned meet the requirement of hardware essential to be able to function in carriers with LTE LTE in BC4
For example, so far, I know the requirements to enjoy the LTE if the device was not purchased with the operator (Telcel Mexico case for now, but can serve as a reference for other operators):
-A unlocked device, which support the band LTE 4 (or AWS LTE, which is the same)
-Being in an LTE coverage area
-A Version 6 SIM Card
-Postpaid plan
-That the operators´s system enable your cell phone line as "LTE user"
-May or may not, be needed a minor operation, as in the case of the Nexus 4 you have to enter a service menu to change settings related to LTE (like Nexus 4); or edit the APN settings (like as was done with the 3G)
Europe
In Europe, LTE bands are used:
BC7 (this is in 2600MHz) used for LTE in most countries of the EU; Australia, etc
BC20 (this is in 800MHz) some European countries already in use as in France, Germany, etc.. (although in the same territory also use BC7); Australia
BC3 (this is in 1800MHz). Only a few countries use this as LTE band are: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, etc (although in the same territory also use BC7 and BC20). Australia uses BC3 too.
WP8 DEVICES THAT HAVE LTE IN BC7, AND LTE IN BC20:
Lumia 920 [RM-821], not to be confused with the American version.

In many European countries networks are already operational on 2600 Mhz. Some countries are allowing refarming of spectrum in the 1800 Mhz range. Some have already deployed in the spectrum of the digital dividend (switch to DVB-T) at around 800 Mhz, while other countries still have not given away those frequencies. It is safe to assume that most european networks will operate on a Mix of 800/2600 or 1800/2600.
The european versions of the Lumia 820/920 to my knowledge should support all three of those bands.
We have put together a spreadsheet what shows exactly the LTE Carrier Aggregation bands the XZ and XZs support.
Information comes from the config files present in /system/etc/customization/modem/
We have made this a bit more readable than in those config files.
As the XZ and XZs are basically same modem wise (Snapdraxon X12 with 4x4 Mimo) i have used the latest config in the XZs image(G8231_Customized NOBA_1307-9907_41.2.A.0.191_R7D) as information.

Better transfer speeds, depending if your carrier/area is already supporting carrier aggregation.
I don't know if im tripping but ive been looking over this thread since its OP and I still confused. when I look up my carrier METRO PCS/Tmobile the APN says the MCC its 310 and my mnc is 260. so that would be 310260 in the united states, where can I find that on the spreadsheet?

MCC 310 is part of the us/canada configuration. There is no special configuration for 310-260. So the available Carrier Aggregation combinations are in the US/Canada column.

You do not add this to nowhere. This is only for information, so you can check your MCC/MNC about available CA combinations. This way you can know what are the maximum LTE speeds you could achive with Sony XZ(s).

I can fully confirm B7 and B38 with 4x4. B3 is semi confirmed, as the phone reported x4 but the tower was not capable.
But you have to remember that the 4x4 only works when you are connected to single band, if there is 2CA or 3CA situation then there is not enough spatial streams to do 4x4 mimo.

Pretty certain that the XZ or any phone(too small devices) cannot do 4x4 MIMO on lower bands like B20/B28/B5/B8/ because of the physical characteristic of these bands.
Will CA work if I buy phone in HK, for example, and later will use in Japan with Japanese SIM card?

I think there is no point of buying dual sim XZ for Japan, as they don't have 2G networks to be used with 2nd sim.
If you would like to use VoLTE in Japan, then it might get more complicated as there is no Japanese firmware for 8331/8332 model.

Thank you for explaining and bringing up moment about 2nd SIM card. VoLTE enabled for Japanese models, for sure. But Japanese hardware is different from worldwide version.

On Japan have own provider variants on NTT Docomo, Softbank and au by KDDI). Thats why no Japan firmware available on Sony XZ.

VDF group is collaborating with sony to introduce 256QAM ,for example in SPAIN XZ hnadsets with VDF firmware,last one,is supporting this feature.

Some provider only enabled, but if you have rooted phone, you can enable that using my instruction: https://mt-tech.fi/en/modify-sony-xz-xzs-xz-premium-and-xz1-lte-a-band-combos/
Then it working also on your network if your network have that. Also you can enable more LTE CA combos.
Someone could explain me what AA stands for? E.g what is the difference between 20AA-7A-1A-0,20A-7AA-1A-0,20A-7A-1AA-0 ? And do colors have meaning?

Yes if you follow instruction. I have same phone and have 256QAM/64QAM enabled. Then your phone really upgrade from CAT9 to CAT11 phone also.
Only few networks have already enabled, i think TIM Italy have that 256QAM but no 64QAM enabled example.

Two letters, like AA, means it's the primary carrier in a combo and it's used for upload traffic.
I don"t understand. Example 3AA-3A-0 or 3AA-3A-1 which one this site: http://niviuk.free.fr/lte_ca_band.php.

If you have a tmobile phone then the apn settings are for tmo. Tmo doesn't use band 3.
Find out what the apn settings are for your service provider and edit them.
