If you can get into twrp, see if system is mounted. If it isn't, it probably won't keep the option when you try and check it. So do a restore on the system only, then woke cache, go to Mount system and it should stick. Reboot and it should get you back up and running.

I also took the update.. this method of mounting system, etc. isn't working. *edit* Battery pull, volume down/power button/ factory reset fixed the bootloop.

Bootloop and stuck on LG logo

I was on 10T official. I decided to unlock bootloader, I followed the guide, I my storage was unencrypted...
I have unlocked bootloader and then installed TWRP 3.1.1.
After a boot, I have installed a Stock modified ROM (Fulmics ROM 2.0).
After reboot, the phone is stuck on LG logo, and after minutes it reboots and stucks on LG logo and the reboot...... etc etc
Entering TWRP again, it says my Data is encrypted and asks me for the password.
I have formatted Data, and reinstalled Fulmics ROM, but, same problem. Stuck on LG logo. Now entering TWRP there is no partition encrypted... but...
What should I do now?
Reinstall stock using LGUP

Restore the official firmware with LGup, install again the TWRP, make a format data (format, not wipe), install whatever you want to get twrp stuck (SuperSU, magisk ECC...), Reboot system, then reboot in twrp, manually or by a rebooter app, wipe system, data, cache and dalvik, install fulmics with your favourite aroma settings, after that reboot recovery, flash the 2.1 ota, and reboot system.
Now wait some minutes, it'll reboot again once, it's normal, when happens just wait again for some minutes, and it should boot normally.
I've installed this rom a bunch of times (for a bunch of reasons) and never had Bootloop problems doing this.
Good luck:good:
Thanks, stock firmware like this one? https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/development/rom-h870-10f-rom-imgs-kdz-t3615183
And in LGUP should I do anything particular? Or just reinstall kdz?
Then, should I format only Data partition or also system or others?
You can decrypt data through fastboot

Here it is the kdz: https://lg-firmwares.com/download-file/?fileId=10110
Just reinstall the kdz with upgrade option.
You have only to format data (not wipe, remember).
Thanks, worked!
Mmm... No, I was able to reinstall stock rom, but then, when I try to format Data I get error like "Failed to unmount /system (Device or resource busy)" and then "Failed to mount /data", "Unable to recreate /data/media folder...
And also when I install Magisk I have those errors... (Failed to mount system and data).
Booting up, stock rom is ok, and also Magisk, so phone is rooted.
But when I reboot to recovery and I install fulmics rom, it seems to install correctly, it shows a final error of mount system and when I boot I still have stock rom, without Magisk or fulmics settings... so It is not installed fulmics rom! Tomorrow I will try another time. By now I keep stock rom rooted. Anyway I'm happy to see how easy is to reinstall stock rom.

Try to download twrp from the official twrp post. There are some problems with twrp /system mount. Then format data and install magisk the first time.

I downloaded the official one from twrp.me version 3.1.1.0 2017-06-30. Is there any new beta/modded twrp to install?

In my case the official twrp from twrp.me had the problem of unable to mount system. I read all the twrp Guide from LG G6 in rom, recovery root section and I read that had some problems and they posted an usefull twrp. Try downloading twrp from these post.
I've installed experimental TWRP over official TWRP posted here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73071238&postcount=228 and works, no more mount error.
Now I have installed Fulmics rom. I'm happy!
Thanks to all

Bootloop issue after OTA install on rooted phone

Hi Guys, I have rooted Moto G+ plus phone (XT1686) with ROM "[ROM][7.0][Stock] Debloated and Deodexed latest Build by sandy108" installed. Today I installed OTA update "New OTA RETIN (Indian) channel [August Security Patch] [NPN25.137.67-5]". After reboot my phone is stuck at TWRP recovery mode. I have taken "Data" partition backup in TWRP after this issue. Is there any way to get my phone working without losing "data" ? Have tried re-flashing the deloated ROM as stated above.
When you reboot and it brings you back to recovery tell it to reboot back to the bootloader, then manually select to start your phone. It should work
Just wipe caches in TWRP and reboot... the update and the script to update are held in cache, once it's gone it will boot fine.

I have tried wiping everything in TWRP and installed other ROMs and updated TWRP but this situation still persists.
Simply boot from recovery into bootloader and press start
This should start the phone normally.
If you have lost the signal restore efs folder from TWRP
Boot into TWRP, then connect your phone to your PC and in ADB type the following command:
Code:
adb shell dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/soc/7824900.sdhci/by-name/misc

twrp wont wipe cache on my ze552kl

I tried installing RR ROM last night it took me a good 8 tries because twrp couldn't wipe the cache and put me into boot loop. And then my nandroid backup failed to restore from SD so the only option I had was to format data from twrp which wiped my downloads for all the ROMs. I had to sideload RR and Gapps to finally resurrect my phone. My back up is lost now.
Is there any fix for these issues? Also I tried installing through otg but that didn't work either I couldn't select the option.
I appreciate all your help
Thanks!

OnePlus 6T Bootloop Help!

So I was using a certain root app and it told me to enable Magisk Core mode and reboot. I did that, and my phone was in a bootloop. So I wen't to TWRP and flashed stock ROM zip. Rebooted and it was still bootlooping.
So I took a TWRP Backup of all partitions, and then wiped system fully and flashed stock ROM. Still bootlooping. So I did a factory reset and wiped system as well, keeping internal storage. Then I flashed stock ROM zip and rebooted - it fixed it, but was factory reset. So I went back into TWRP and restored the data partition. Unfortunately, I got the TarFork Error 255 when restoring. I saw on google that you need to setup Android first to restore. Rebooted to go into Android but it took me to TWRP, and this time didn't ask for decryption password. I went to internal storage and everything was encrypted. I don't remember exactly what I did next but now I'm in fastboot with no TWRP recovery, and when I do fastboot boot twrp.img I get this error: "FAILED (remote: 'Failed to load/authenticate boot image: Load Error')"
Can anyone help me recovery from this and possibly get my internal storage back, or at least installed apps. I can provide TWRP restore log as well: https://del.dog/ivugupemeq

Have you tried the MSM Download Tool to restore the device yet? I'm leaning towards that honestly.

(Double post, ignore this)
Got it fixed by flashing full stock ROM in fastboot without wiping, so userdata was recovered, and then restored app data from the TWRP nandroid backup in Titanium backup

Damn don't even have this phone anymore lol
I think I used the fastboot ROMs from an xda post but when it asks you to wipe or not I clicked no, and then I booted to Android and apps data can be restored from a nandroid backup in titanium backup, just search to find that feature, instead of restoring the data backup in twrp

Recovery loop after TWRP Restore LineageOS 17.1

Hello there,
I had had LOS17.1 installed on my SGN3. Made a TWRP 3.4.0-1 backup, flashed a stock ROM for a few days and then went for restoring LOS17 again. But restoration wasn't successful.
First "Cannot restore Modem - mounted read only" log show up during restoration. Checking Modem in Mount did not help. So I unchecked modem, which "solved" the issue.
After restore completed, device rebooted but got stuck in what I would call a recovery loop. Black screen -> TWRP splashscreen -> black screen (repeat indefinitely). It can be broken up by entering Recovery (or Download) by appropriate hardware key combo.
But the issue is I cannot get into my system. Installing LOS17 from scratch works but I would like the data.
I tried multiple TWRP versions and fix_rootfs_label.zip I have found here on XDA with no success. Installing fresh LOS17 works and restoring only "data" lets me boot, but the system is not usable (but still trying).
Restoring more than "data" always ended up in the recovery loop.
What was interesting is that when I tried to install GApps to the restored backup, it threw an error saying that this GApps package is for Android 10, while Android 7 (SDK 25) was detected on the system.
Any help?
Thank you!
Did you flash Gapps or no? If yes try nano if no i can't help
