battery issue - Lenovo Vibe K4 Note Questions & Answers

Which custom rom has the best battery backup or what should i do to save my battery???

I just want to say that every custom rom is best at their own but if someone ask me which custom rom is prefer then it is Resurrection Remix :good:
Important points to save battery:- :fingers-crossed:
1) Don't use Google Assistant as it consumes too much battery.
2) Brightness should be low (more brightness consumes more battery).
3) Use greenify app it stops background running apps (runs in Rooted and Non-rooted both modes).
4) Install less apps.
5) When data connection is not in use turn it off. Same for hotspot.
6) If you using your android long time for internet then prefer wifi over data connection as i consumes more power.
Hit like if you think i helped you

Best custom rom is LOS 13.0 BY zormax,
I have a 7+hrs sot... With ZA Kernel..
If you want to see my sot, go to za kernel thread...
You need
* ZA Kernel (by mohancm)
* Greenify
* Amplify (for best standby)
* PowerNap (for standby)
Max 7-8hrs standby drain a 3-4%of your battery..
10%-12% with 1hr SOT (depent on usage)
So in my everyday usage in my device running on LOS13.0 i have a 6-7+hrs... Usually i charged my phone to 85 and 91% and i got a 6hrs SOT
---------- Post added at 03:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:18 AM ----------
[r]Theres a new Deodex rom called GIGAROM 1.0 for our device..
If you want to try go to g+ or i will post here in this thread..[/r]

In darkness rom, i discontinued my testing because the animation of ui is bit laggy... And videoplaying in gallery is not playable..
So the sot is not calculate to 100-1%
Im reverted back to los13.. but soon i test giga rom..

12 hrs .!
I can recommend flashing NeatRomLite UHLPS to get great battery life! Yesterday I used my phone normally, including using Endomondo for 50min and after the whole day I had 53% left after 9 hours! To me that's great battery life! Very good deep sleep!

Want a very good deep sleep? Try CM9+stock kernel. It's been 4h with screen off and still 100% +wifi on all the time.

You dont think that it is Endomondo as he said!?
@Pryltokig
Do you use the Kernel which comes with NeatLite or did you changed it?
On a full charge, I got what I also usually got in Gingerbread, meaning a little over two days. More specific:
2days3hours
3h55' screen time
29' talk time.
wifi or 3G at all times.
ROM: Omega v15 based on stock 4.0.3 XWLPG, no mods to cpu or gpu. Stock kernel, rooted.
Because I read at night time, I use a screen filter and keep the light at 30-40% from the minimum value which gives longer screen on times.
Otherwise, I would get 2h of screen on time.
Happy with my response?

How much screen time?
---------- Post added at 08:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:38 PM ----------
My best result is with Gingerbread! Yeah, with gingerbread! I tried many ICS roms and I never get the same result.
Anyways, I have XILA3 Stock GB ROM, with no modifications.
Total Time: 1d 3h
Screen Time: 6h 6m
Yesterday I managed almost 4hrs of screen time, almost 4 1/2h listened to music and 16 1/2 hours overall. I`m pretty impressed with that. I am using Resurrection Rom 2.6 and Siyah Kernel 3.3.3d. However, a little Undervolting and underclocking was involved.
opps forget to take picture of that now phone is on charge (and also restarted due to su UPDATE ) but i guess brigtness time is umm..... around 10+ hours , and my rom is ICS 4.0.3 UK stock
(seyah kerenl is realy awesome v 3.3.3c )

Wee I dind't use to get a great battery life too, but when I updated to 2.3.6 XILA2 and then XILA3 version, there was a huuuuuge improvement in smoothness and battery life! And since then I've never been able to find an ICS rom with the same result!

which nougat rom has good battery backup??

????
All of them.
none of them
There is not so much differences between N Roms.
It s mainnly :
the apps you use (Facebook, whstsapps ....)
The brightness
LTE use far more battery than wifi
And you can change governor with script like glassfish, you will notice it will impact the heat of the cpu and then the battery drain

No custom rom will give battery backup as good as stock. But if wanna try, try ground zero rom, they have good battery backup.

[MIDO] SOT with custom ROM

Below are screenshots of my SOT (using Slim ROM and Faust Kernel). The SOT measured with PCMark "Work 2.0 battery life" test. I started the test when the battery was at 85%, and it stopped automatically when the battery reached 20%. Everything else was running as normal - lots of WhatsApp messages coming in (no popups) and even an incoming phone call (which I didn't answer).
Adaptive brightness is enabled, with the brightness level set at 40%. The test ran overnight (note that the screen is on, and active the whole time - basically, it keeps running all sorts of benchmarks over and over again, with the screen redrawing continuously).
Result: from 85% to 20% took 11 hours and 54 minutes. This equates to about 17 hours SOT .

Outside of battery benchmarks, how long was your SOT?
Everybody has different user scenarios & different methods of using a phone.
This SOT of yours is not using mobile data network, only WiFi, correct?
Try to do a test using LTE or WCDMA only, without WiFi and share the result with us.
Cheers!
Faust Kernel with governor tweaks on the newest RR build and i can easily get 10 hours of SOT, sometimes 12 hours
As already indicated, everything was running as normal (which includes WiFi, bluetooth, and LTE enabled), and the PCMark battery test was running on top of it all. Performance benchmarks running non-stop for 12 hours on a phone is objective enough for me. YMMV.
I've been playing around for a few days now to find a good balance between battery and a good performance. LineageOS 14.1 with Vulcan kernel, currently at 8h SOT with 35% battery left. I usually just install a kernel and let it run on defaults so still learning what things do.
In Miui with Velvet, is not precisely SoT (actually it is because how the hell am i suppose to play with the screen off lol) but i'm really surprised to see how long the battery lasts even playing games.
Yes i was on Wi-Fi all the time but still... i would test LTE but i don't have , i just go up to 3G .

SlimROM - stock kernel.

Ok I'm again here to solve BATTERY DRAIN ISSUES in pie ROMs (personally tested)

So guys .... I'm again here to help you all out to eliminate the battery drain issue in pie roms to very much extent ? ... So we don't need much mods .....
Things we need are here....
1.Nameless kernel by LibXZR ...im sure you all know this kernel ( all credits goes to it's original dev)
2.Nfs injector mod(magisk)
3.zuklineagethermal(for better gaming experience)
4.Galacticadeepsleepmod(by Pawan Rockz) which i personally use (you'll see no drain overnight when device in idle state ?)
Procedure.......
I personally use aosip rom and currently I'm still on it ... Well you can try on other roms too ... Try and tell me... But i recommend a clean flash ....
Ok so first flash rom, gapps as usual ... Now flash attached kernel, then flash attached zuklineagethermals, then flash Galacticadeepsleep mod which i provided and at last flash magisk .... Now reboot device let it settle and flash nfs injector mod via magisk and reboot ....and yes you're done .... Battery will improve gradually atleast test until 2-3 cycles
My secret personal settings?- Use any kenel manager like kernel auditor or exkernel manager and underclock cpu little cores to 1.3 ghz and big to 1.8 ghz ... Trust me it will not decrease performance of the device and set governor- schedutil and i/o scheduler to bfq(smoothest experience) ... Even it will reduce heating issues and improve gaming time..... Now let device settle and you're done....
Now things you'll notice ..... Seamless lag free experience overall ... No gaming lag ..... Improved battery plus no or minimal device idle drain ??
Plz hit thanks if it help you and please reply about your experience in this thread .......
I willl also post sot screenshots of a full cycle use after few time ?
Note : all credits goes to creators of all these mods
Everything is attached below so don't panic...
AND YES MY PHONE IS 2 YRS OLD with no battery changed?
ENJOY
All ROMs Galacticâ„¢ DeepSleep MOD Super Battery Saver .zip
Link: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298978250
So here you can take an idea about how well battery is going to perform... This is my totally normal day to day usage after full charge... No gaming .... already 3hrs+ sot And still 44% left so .... It's sure that I'm going to get 4.5 + sot and you can see the battery drain overnight is almost 0% ... I slept almost 7-8 hours

No signal fluctuations ... For me aosip is most complete rom pie right now in very way.... Yes full spectrum support..... I don't think custom font is there but i haven't checked at all? well i use only Google sans font .... And its attached down below..... Gapps nano or up recommend

4.Galacticadeepsleepmod which i personally use (you'll see no drain overnight when device in idle state ?)
Trust me it will not decrease performance of the device and set i/o scheduler to deadline ...
AND YES MY PHONE IS 2 YRS OLD ?
ENJOY

Bro .... Actually the default performance of nameless is a bit limited so you will notice lags here and there and mainly in gaming .... So the biggest reason to flash nfs is to eliminate the overall lag and get seamless performance and without compromising battery drain and it works 100 % that's why nfs is must recommend by me ... Otherwise you can check for yourself with nfs flashed and without nfs .... You'll see huge difference .... It's recommended strongly
