Launcher which shows notification count on app icons ? - Samsung Galaxy Tab A series Questions & Answers

Hi all
I have a Samsung Phone which shows the number of notifications in a red circle against each app icon on the home screen. So i can see, at a glance, if there are any emails, whatsapp, fb messages etc....
Is there a launcher for the Tab A which would similarly indicate the notification count against each app icon, or is this something that's only possible from Marshmallow Roms ?
Thanks in advance

Nova Launcher does this. Settings - notification badges.

remove notification bar

hello
is there any way to hide the notifications bar on galaxy S i9000?
thanks
there are several apps in the market that can do that
but you will be in trouble without it
a lot of apps depends on the notification bar
if you don't have the bar, you will have no quick way to access those alerts
thanks
can you name me one app that do that?
i want to remove this while im driving with GPS to avoid the notofication bar will be stock like i had on my nexus one. this is really troble with amoled screens.
I use GDE as my Home replacement, It has an option for Fullscreen, which removes the notification bar

I do not know why you wanna hide it, but if you have launcher pro, there is an option to hide the notification bar.

Hi there...
This black notification bar somehow is ugly for this homescreen and this phone...isn't there any simple way to make it transparent or hide it without using third party application like launcher pro???
I don't think so.
Unfortunately you have to use a third party app to do this. That said, I'd love to see a mod to hide the clock, it bugs me to have one up there AND a clock widget.....
Back to topic: ADW has a hide option aswell....
I use ADWLaucher, I can hide/show the bar swiping the screen.
I use launcher pro to hide it with a swipe gesture on a dock icon to make it apear

[Q] Apex Launcher Pro On Galaxy S4

Hello. Am using the Galaxy S4 with Apex Launcher Pro on it. Love both of them pretty much. But there was this 1 thing that annoys me. Whenever I set swipe down feature to toggle my status bar / show my notifications, all the widgets on my screen will move downwards when the status bar is being toggled. It's kinda annoying seeing my widgets move out of positions. I am using 4.1.2 stock JB and the show notification bar option doesn't work. When I swipe down, it only toggles my status bar instead of bringing the whole notification bar down. Are there any apps that would enable or show my notification bar without moving the widgets? Thanks in advance.
? Don't you get the notifications bar when you swipe down from the top of the screen - I mean without down swipe enabled in Apex. Used Apex for ages and never known this not to function

I hide the notification bar. Does it work only when the notification bar is not hide? I've tried this on another phone it works and the notification is also hidden. I just swipe down with gestures and the bar expands. It happens in Nova Launcher too...

Question about Nova Launcher

I have always been a huge Nova Launcher user, and I know now that I won't lose double tap by installing it on my G2 (can double tap screen on, and double tap notification bar for screen off), BUT, even when using Novas' Tesla Unread plug in, the stock sms and stock email icons do not get a badge when there's a new message. Neither does AT&T visual voicemail. Nova/Tesla don't seem to be recognizing those apps. I know I don't really need to have app badges as I can see from the notification bar icons what new messages I have.... it's just something I'm used to and wondering if anyone has any thoughts?

[Q] Push notification disabled on custom launcher ?

Hello everyone,
I have a nexus 4 with kitkat, and lately I tried some custom launcher : Buzz launcher, then Themer launcher with icon badges enabled. One thing I noticed is, I stopped receiving notifications from Facebook and Twitter (and maybe some other apps) on my status bar.
Then I moved to Hola Launcher, but I still have the problem. Even with Hola notification installed, no notification badge on Facebook and Twitter icon.
Any idea on how to restore it, without moving back to the system launcher ?
Thanks.

Missing notification badge counts...

I've searched a bit under the S7 edge specific threads here, and I haven't seen anyone else mention this. For some reason, I have no unread notification badges on top of my app icons.
One of the first things I did when I got the phone was to change from the Touchwiz launcher to the Google Now launcher. Is this the culprit? If so, is there any way to rectify it without 3rd party permission-hungry apps?

That would be why. Not sure with Google Now Launcher, but Nova has its own separate program to handle this.
Hmm... so I slapped on the Nova Launcher and the Tesla Unread and I configured Tesla Unread on things like Gmail, Messenger, Phone... and no joy. In the setup area of Tesla Unread I can see my unread Gmail messages in parenthesis, but it doesn't plop it on the icon.
I tried doing a clear data of BadgeProvider, then a force stop... and finally a reboot.
Should I just wipe this thing and start over???

Did you grant TeslaUnread notification access.? Go to unread count badge>teslaunread settings>then in should prompt you to grant notification access.
Nova Prime with Tesla Unread is working flawlessly for me, +1 on the notification permissions, probably.
OK, found it.
Nova Settings
Unread count badges <- Nova Prime only
So, my badges are $5. Didn't realize that was part of the pay bit of Nova Launcher.
