The only method to unlock bootloader - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Guides, News, & Discussion

I applied for bootloader unlock permission and got the permission sms within 6 hours.
-I downloaded the MiUnlock tool and did everything (i.mi.com, sync and all those things).
But i was unsuccessful in unlocking the booloader.
-I switched to global dev rom too, it didn't help.
-I did factory reset my device a couple of times, it didn't help.
-I tried different versions of the MiUnlock tool, it didn't help.
-I tried the flyVPN thing, it didn't help either.
-I tried everything and tried to unlock the device for 4-5 consecutive days, but it didn't help.
But i tried to unlock my device after 6-7 days of obtaining the permission sms and unlocked it successfully in a single go.
So, the only thing you have to do is, wait for 6-7 days after obtaining the permission sms, don't waste your time by trying again and again.

Root without Unlocking Bootloader?

Has there been a method created yet to root the Nexus 7 without unlocking the bootloader?
I'd like to load up some of my old settings from my last tablet but don't want to unlock the bootloader just yet...
Should probably be in Q&A section.
No.
Also... what this guy said

Helpful hint, if you're making a new thread and it has or should have a question mark it goes in Q & A section

I flashed the original boot.king the relocked it. Hopefully the boot.img is okay...

None that I've found but you can just lock it again after (if for some reason you want to).

I'm also kind of interested in this; my Moto Atrix 2 has a locked bootloader (curse you Motorola) but we were able to root it and get CWM on it pretty easily I think. I'm not at all sure how that worked, and I don't know if the root I gained was "optimal" (is there even a difference?). I'm interested also in seeing if there is a way to get root without unlocking for the Nexus 7 because I don't want to factory reset just yet.
Are you guys sure there is no way? Is it just a fundamental difference between the two devices that prohibits it on the Nexus?
If you unlock, root, install custom rom & kernel and then follow this tutorial to reset it to factory, can you send your device to asus without being discovered?

External storage error

Hi. I was on a plane last night after the longest week ever on a trip.
I have a perfectly functioning nexus 10. I downloaded a flashable zip of clockwork touch recovery instead of the non touch one I was using.
Stupidly I flashed it and rebooted and ever since I get the gallery error of now external storage. Google play doesn't work either.
In setting the nexus knows I have 13gb available and I get no error messages when I boot into recovery.
A pain in the butt for sure and I am not sure how to undo my stupidity.

I tried reflashing. I tried fastboot -w. I tried a few other things but to no avail.
I'd prefer to just blast the entire partition structure and start over
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I'll redo the boot loader tomorrow. Maybe flash the Ubuntu preview then back.
Thoughts?

So far no luck. I've relocked and unlocked. Changed recoveries. Installed ROM after ROM and still same error. I'm completely at a loss
Anyone have any ideas?

Did you try fix permissions in recovery? It's worth a shot.
I dunno why flashing any version of CWM would cause this though.
I did yes sir. I tried 100 million things. In the storage section of settongs the tablet knew it was a 16gb. But just wouldn't let it be mountable or usable.

Its almost like it doesn't know its partition size or where it is.

I am having the same issue, not able to access Google play or the internal storage even after reinstalling to factory image many times. Have you got it resolved from Samsung. Please update
Hi. Sorry for the delay.
Sadly I contacted Samsung about it and it was officially broken. Happily Samsung repaired it under warranty for me. It was the motherboard that died.

It's a known issue with YT3. I hope that you still have warranty, because you'll have to reach Lenovo.

What is DM verification? If you disabled encryption of the device your fingerprint doesn't work, if you want fingerprint to work you have to encrypt the phone.

As I said I'm using magisk without problem. I don't use a lot of modules but I never experienced bootloop and never heard of this kind of issues.
