EMUI 5.0 to LineageOS 14.1 ? - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello !
First, sorry for my bad english, i'm french
I would like to know if there is a simple way to switch from EMUI 5.0 to Lineage OS 14.1 ? And if yes, how (with the fingerprint sensor working) ?
And if there is no way to do that, how to go from EMUI 5.0 to EMUI 4.1 without brick the phone ?
I have a VNS L31
Thanks for your answers

Hey, i know how to rollback from N to MM (VNS-L31) (NO FROM CUSTOM ROMS, IT WORKS ONLY ON STOCK ROM!!!!!)
0) Backup all things in huawei Backup (backup from N is compatible with MM also.)
1) Download this file http://download-c1.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=93787&siteCode=de
2) put the update.app to sdcard and with 3 buttons method update- in settings you will see build number B300 (universal firmware patch)
3) Take B160 Firmware update.app and repeat like in 2)
Bootloader will be locked. This is the save and official method how to roll back.
---------- Post added at 01:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:02 PM ----------
And i am not sure about flashing custom roms in Emui 5 TWRP... I didnt find any thread about that... If i want custom rom i downgrade. Its easy.

For rolling your phone back to EMUI 4.1 follow these instructions here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...torial-rollback-n-to-mm-c432-devices-t3563955
And if you are on c432 localization just download the correct files for your phone. If you are on other localization download the files for your localization and do the steps correctly and you will never end up with a bricked phone.
This worked for me tho. Twice. I still have alive non-bricked phone.

Tried your B121 > B313, did not work, Bootloop (even with factory reset) -> bricked my phone. I need help now to get it to work again.
Is the rollback + full 5.0.2 ROM enough or should I do it over fastboot, which I still don't have unlocked?

Help me with my EDI-AL10C233B359

Hello Experts,
I have a Huawei Honor Note 8 which came from China originally with EMUI 4 and Android 5 (or 6?). I however managed to upgrade it to EMUI 5 and Android 7.
After upgrade the build changed to EDI-AL10C233B359 which is different from factory build when I purchased it.
When I heard about Android 8 Oreo, I decided to upgrade my phone again.
It's been a while now that I've been trying to update to Android 8 Oreo reading different guides. So far was only able to unlock bootloader.
Last attempt ended up to have to factory reset my phone but now my phone get stock in blue screen with Honor logo. I've both tried factory reset and recovery but none worked and again after completion of each i get stock in blue screen.
I appreciate any help with:
- how to fix it to get it up and running
- how I can update to Oreo?
Cheers,
Ray

Hi @letschky
I have a similar question.
My honor note 8 is having the firmware EDI-AL10C233B359 ( my phone is rooted )
I didn't get the OTA to android Oreo or won't update in erecovery either.
From what I understand we have to change it AL10C00B359 to actually update to B528
Can you give the detailed steps to change from EDI-AL10C233B359 to EDI-AL10C00B359 ?
Can we change the region by flashing oeminfo and custombin for EDI-ALC00B359 in TWRP?
Can you share the oeminfo and custombin for EDI-ALC00B359?
Thanks,
Sam

I download B200 tried to install via dload failed said (incompatiblity with current version ) tried with twrp failed. And I wiped my OS and tried again and failed. And lost my OS.Sort of now it shows me android logo instead of huawie logo and it's stuck on the initial setup of nougat.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/guide-how-to-downgrade-mate-8-emui-5-to-t3515202
I found this and it says the nougat version must be b500 but mine was b560 and tried to install the rollback and it failed again.I don't know what to do?I need my phone.
Couldn't find any download link of b500 did you do that on your b500 or b560?
If b500 please give me a link of NXT-L29C185B500
Tried again and it didn't give me error this time the point is that it doesn't run on B500 it makes your device B500!
After installing marshmellow the bootloader is locked again!
