New F/W VKY-L09C432B125 - Huawei P10 Plus Questions & Answers

Just got back form a vacation and checked FF to find the above firmware. Has anyone tried to upgrade using dload method? Any issues with this firmware i.e. Android Pay still working?
I've downloaded update.zip and update_full_VKY-L09_hw_eu.zip. I assume the upgrade method is to unpack update.zip to dload folder and use either the special menu or three buttons then the same with the other file?
Sent from my VKY-L09 using XDA-Developers Legacy app

The dload methode dont't work with any P10 or P10 Plus model, since it requires an online verification of the update file.
There is only FunkyHuawei at this moment to flash the newest firmware.

You have to debrand your phone...
That presume: unlock bootloader + twrp + root + (prepare in dload folder a C432 - B160/B161 firmware) + flash oeminfo C432 + repair firmware with dload folder.
It is a lot to do and somethings may goes wrong resultin in bricking your phone...
If you assume the risks, after that you have a C432 - B160/B161 phone which can be updated to B370/B371 via Firmware Finder.

Since you are here and obviously know a lot more about p9 lite than me, can you please find me a guide to do stuff that you told me to do. I know it's a lot to ask for, but I've been grinding all week trying to find guides etc and couldn't. Thanks in advance!

What you have to do i already said but you have to read arround here to do followings...
1. From anywhere you are (B336, B329, B170-160-130) you have to prepared in dload folder a B160/B161 stock firmware (B160 for Dual Sim, B161 for Single Sim).
2. Flash oeminfo/custom.bin (for SS phone or DS phone ) for your phone localisation: C150, C185, C432.
3. After that firmware become corrupted and need to be repaired from dload folder via 3 keys pressed / dialer code / emui error message.
4. Once you have a functional B160/B161 firmware install Firmware Finder (+proxy addon) and check <Use new firmware> and <Use system updater>.
5. Reconfigure WI-Fi connection from indications in Firmware Finder Proxy.
6. Search for B370/B371 firmware (B370 for DS, B371 for SS) of 1,94 Gb size for your phone localisation and send it to updater.
7. From there it is downloaded, verified and reboot to emui updater wich make his work and bring you B370/B371 firmware.
PS: - for flashing oeminfo/custom.bin i recomand this tool which make that work just fine.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...nt/europe-vns-l31-toolkit-bootloader-t3432873
- if you have a flash-able zip of oeminfo/custom.bin i recommend flashing with twrp.

I have L31 and I want to debrand it from C440 to C432. I did some research, but still I have some questions.
1. Unlock bootloader + TWRP + root - I found this https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701
It's ok right ?
2. Flash oeminfo of C432 and this should be done by SRKTool and oeminfo I found there https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...nt/europe-vns-l31-toolkit-bootloader-t3432873
3. repair firmware via dload folder - Unfortunately I don't know how to do it. In the instructions for p9, it was done also in SRKTools using "Install Recovery 6.0", but there P9Lite is not mentioned, how should I do ?
4. Install new ROM - I should install new ROM for c432, right ? It's using 3 button method ?
And that's all ?

Regarding <3. repair firmware via dload folder>, you have to download stock firmware for C432 (B130/131 or B160/161 - depends what oeminfo you flash),
unzip update.app and copied on dload folder on microsdcard. Power off and power on with 3 key combination and repair start...

Indeed, you lose bootloader unlock, twrp and root (if you have).
If now I have c440B160, and I place oeminfo for c432 do i have to install c432b160 or I can install c432b131, because I only found that version
I installed TWRP and Root, and now I don't know how to change oeminfo, because in srk is only p9,not p9 lite, and I downloaded package .zip and tried to install it by TWRP but it didn't work. How should i do this ?
Ministry of solutions has a full tutorial, I used it and it worked flawlessly

Ok, thank. That worked. But now I try to update phone by using firmware finder. It finds me a lot of versions and I downloaded the newest b381 full ota, and it failed, because something was wrong in that package
What u debranded to?

Now I use firmware finder to find new versions, and it finds me a lot of them so I send b381 full ota to updater, it downloads, and then reboots, but it find verification error. How to fix it, i want to update to emui 5.0. Now I have C432B160

Update from B161 to Nougat - Once again

Hi Guys.
Maybe somebody can help here:
I am on B161 and get the OTA Update for B371 - but only the 2.5GB version! And with this update, bluetooth and many more things don't work.
What can I do to Upgrade to nougat? Which Version should I use? How to upgrade correctly?
I don't get the full B371 Upgrade option in the system. And when i Install the B371 Image from Firmware Finder (VNS-L31C432B371 FullOTA-MF-PV) its not working either...
PLEASE help, Nougat has a much better Ram Usage und battery life then MM on my P9 Lite 2GB Variant.....
Thanks!
Better wait.
Nougat has battery drain.

I was on B371 before but had the issue with bluetooth not working etc. Then i did the rollback package and afterwards went back to B161 - so i suppose its not really stock?
I'm just thinking - now i am on B161 and B371 Update is visible for me - but only the 2.5GB variant - and i don't want to update and have the same issues and again do the rollback and loose all my data?
Also i don't really now what it means exactly to be on "Stock" rom - because i think B161 is the actual Stock rom for now?
EDIT: Also i See i have the Firmware VNS-L31 but my Model is actually VNS-L21 so thats weird too.

Stock phone means unaltered phone (firmware official, bootloader lock, stock recovery etc)
If you have VNS-L31 firmware on VNS-L21 phone is not ok... So your phone is altered...

First of all you have to bring your phone on stock condition (VNS-L21C432B131).
After that you have to apply a B161 official update.
And from there, with Firmware Finder you go to B371.

lol ok i did the rollback with the rollback package which obviously only changes the oeminfo to VNS-L31C900B300 (as mentioned in another post to rollback from Nougat to MM)
Now when I try to Install the B131 Package with dload method it says the firmware doesnt fit. The build is not correct for this device
EDIT: i try now to install it via Firmware Finder, lets see if theres better luck with that - Or should I ? The update has only 1,5GB - that confuses me Allthough i selected the FULL OTA

Man I tried Tried to do the upgrade via dload method - doesnt work. I tried to install B131 via Firmware Finder - didnt work he cant do it - while verifying the update package switches a few times from 0 to 1 % and after some times he says the package is corrupt.
Can I go just higher than B371 to get everything working again?
Or flash back to B131 with some TWRP or something like that?
Or maybe try to flash the B371 with firmware finder again? That version where it says FullOTA-MF-PV (whatever PV means)
If i was you, i do following:
- first, i make sure if my phone is VNS-L21 (very important!)
- put in dload folder on microsdcard, update.app from B161 firmware: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1164/g104/v66051/f1/full/update.zip
- flash via twrp oeminfo from this link: https://mega.nz/#!Egl01ZpJ!g1K9xV2yZ4oyoBKxFMOWgghTTUzqLUBoBeXkUboCi-A
- start phone with 3 keys combination and let firmware to repair itself.

Huawei FF blocked update fails

So I been seeing this alot huawei have blocked the ability on EMUI5. 1 to update via dload folder or via firmware finder?
If this is true why release beta when we can't test or install.
Is there a way to bypass this or are we stuck to install when huawei want us too
Was-lx1ac432b105
Has anyone managed to update WAS-LX1AC432B105 to WAS-LX1AC432B120/B123? I have tried using the dload method and nothing. I am new to huawei but so far my experience has been less that stellar.
Nope some people mention HWOTA method its on the Mate forum , but as far as i can see with this way you need a recovery nocheck 1 and 2 but i cant find these and noone replied to me so im stuck too cant update stuck on B105 forever it seems.

All right
Yes... I used funnkyHuawei website to do it. There is a cost involved. However I went from WAS-LX1AC432B105 -> WAS-LX1AC432B173
This morning I received an OTA of WAS-LX1AC432B179 from Huawei via the phone update
dload
I tried reinstall my phone. Build-num: WAS-LX1C432B127. But i can't with dload method.
Only with DC Phoenix can reflash, but must credits pay.
Does anyone has recovery nocheck 1, 2 for p10 lite?
With this recovery using HWOTA folder and any firmware from ffinder we can bypass autentification. This method use p10, p10 plu, Mate 9, 10, etc....

[Solved] Firmware reinstall by dload method

Hey guys, I've somehow managed to brick my device while I was half asleep. Now I've installed just the UPDATED.app by using the dload method, this worked but I'm facing the issue of not having bluetooth work. I've tried several update files but the result is either that it flashes and it doesnt work correctly still, or it doesnt flash at all. I've only ever flashed the updated.app from the update.zip, but I haven't touched anything else, including the update_data_full_public.zip or update_full_VNS-L31_hw_eu. Is there a way to use the dload method of some sort to freshly install the firmware correctly? Right now I'm sitting on region C432 and B371. Any help is appreciated!

Use rollback package, go back to A6, flash via dload C432B161 (A6 firmware for your phone), factory reset, and try update to Nougat via OTA or via Firmware finder.
You can't flash Nougat FW via dload.

Strange, if your phone is dual SIM, B371 is wrong FW, it's for single SIM, okay, if you have dual, download rollback package for L-31:
http://download-c1.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=93789&version=373429&siteCode=sk
and VNS-L31C432B160:

Now unpack rollback package, and paste update.app in the dload folder on SD card and flash using three button combo.
Remove rollback from dload folder, unpack B160 and paste update.app in dload, and flash (button combo). Factory reset and voila! you are on Marsmallow .

Strange, if your phone is dual SIM, B371 is wrong FW, it's for single SIM, okay, if you have dual, download rollback package for L-31:
http://download-c1.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=93789&version=373429&siteCode=sk
and VNS-L31C432B160:

I just did them, I think I was missing the rollback package. Bluetooth does work, as everything else. I think there should be an option to update, however I'm not sure which version I should find on the huawei firmware finder. The normal Updater doesn't seem to have an update (yet, I'm not sure if it'll pop up either). Any idea which is the most recent one that I can try? As I thought b371 was good but apparantly its single sim Thank you!

If you are now on B160, and can't update to Nougat via OTA (dont forget insert SIM card into phone), use Firmware finder, and send to update this FW: VNS-L31C432B370 FullOTA-MF-PV. "PV" is very important! No.: 80460 . And check firmware accses for your phone with IMEI.

I think I found that one, why was the PV important? Does it contain stuff that I was missing? I've also checked it with the firmware access, it seems it's working with the updater. It's still downloading, but I think it'll work. In any case thank you!

It did work, there is another update waiting though, is it safe to update to the 380 version?
