No you cannot remove.
After updated to 5.0, the status bar in some apps become fully transparent. ?
It is so inconvenience, for example, in Google Photos, I can't see the status bar icons. (See the attached picture below)?

The status bar is here but it become 100% transparent so that we can't see the icons.

It is <describe shape> and looks a little bit like a <insert simile> has the title <describe title if there is one>. I first saw it <describe when you first saw it>. When I touch it it <describe what it does when you touch it>. I <can/cannot> remove it using normal app deletion.

Thanks for the template. Its hard to describe without be able attaching an image.
Its icon like green face on right top corner of the screen.
Its not clickable and shows only when i turn on the screen (can see it clearly when the bacground is black)

In my drop-down shortcuts panel, I have a 3x3 shortcuts grid. I want to add more shortcuts, but when I go into edit mode, I can only replace existing ones. Is it possible to add more shortcuts somehow?

Afaik you can only put a maximum of 9 tiles there...

I had Notification bar shortcuts customizable in A4.4 with B623 and EMUI 3.1, a plenty of them.
After the upgrade to A5.1 with B852 but also EMUI 3.1 I'm disappointed to see only 9 shortcuts and no option to change it. I even don't know what edit mode would be.
Someone asked for other Huawei device why it was like that with thinking the problem is new EMUI 4. But, I wouldn't say it's EMUI because it's the same in my case. Looks like A5 problem with Huawei.

I had success changing other icons with a custom theme made with EMUI Theme Editor (and used it on EMUI 5).
I tried the XDA Exclusive 1.2 theme for EMUI 5 and I saw that the icon changes to a more flat one when theme is applied.
The only problem is that I have my own theme and I want to use a different icon pack.
Does anyone know what file in the .hwt of the XDA Exclusive theme modifies that?
I'm sorry for any error, I'm not an English native speaker.

If I'm not mistaken, you will find the app drawer icon in the Huawei launcher folder (com.huawei.android.launcher).
