bluetooth stutter with wifi enabled - Huawei Mediapad M3 Questions & Answers

Hello to all,
With one of my Bluetooth receiver the audio of my mediapad always stutter every 2 seconds. If I turn off wireless, everything goes smooth.
Testing the same receiver with another tablet (Asus zenpad) audio goes without problems.
Has anyone of you had this problem? Or heard of it (better, lack of hearing)?
More important, any solution?
Bye and thanks
Walt

I know on my Pixel XL there were issues like this and most were solved by exempting the media app you are using from battery optimization. I guess you could give that a try.

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately I am trying with full performance settings.
Maybe interference between wireless and Bluetooth, or low quality receiver (excelvan).
I'll search on the web. If anyone has a workaround, I would be very grateful.
Thanks

I have the same problem! Not with all apps tho. But with one of those I use the most and MX Player. Lags a lot when using WiFi. But when I'm outside and using 4g / LTE mode the Bluetooth functions works smoothly.. Strange, and it Sucks. Don't have any answer to it, but you're not alone.

Similar issues here:
I have a very poor wifi (2.4 and 5 GHz) performance when BT is ON. Once tured OFF everything goes back to normal. I'm on BTV-DL09C100B302.
Update: Cause found! It was the Garmin Connect APP.

I have the same problem and problem was with Microsoft Bluetooth 4.0 Mobile Mouse 3600. If was paired with Huawei Mediapad M3 (on or off) wifi was vary poor. After deleted is wifi OK.

B170 Bluetooth + WiFi

Hey there....
I just bought a P8 (GRA-L09). In general, I'm very happy with it, BUT I have the following issues:
* When I connect a bluetooth speaker or headphones, my WiFi has connection issues (youtube + amazon video + vimeo video streams first hang, then they stop completely). Same problem with other "streams" (radio etc.). As soon as I disconnect the BT device, the WiFi gets back to normal and runs smoothly again.
* Amazon Instant Videos in HD (Amazon video app) display with a green bar and wrong colors.
Does anybody else have the same issues? Do you think, it makes sense to wait for a new build to fix these issues, or should I better turn the phone in? Or is there even a solution by patching anything (new baseband or something else?).
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
heppa
Ok, apparently, this seems not only linked to the P8, but is a general problem with BT and WiFi, depending on the router and BT device. It is only very obvious due to the lack of 5GHz wifi band support in the P8. What a pity!
Anyhow, I would be very pleased to hear other opinions on this...
Many thanks!

Same problem with Amazon App here.
Gave feedback to the customer service.
We all should do if we all have this problem.
Only this way programmers of Amazon have to make an update.
Same problem.
While streaming via bluetooth, the wifi is very slow.
Nice to see when playing youtube and have the bluetooth speakers on.

Any ROM/KERNEL/RADIO/Combo that will guarantee stable WiFi and Bluetooth?

I've been using Nexus 4 for 4 years now and only last year I began to need bluetooth in it for BT Keyboard and a mouse. That's when I discovered problems with this phone.
Using bluetooth and Wifi at the same time was impossible - WiFi would disconnect and I'd have to reconnect it manually each time - so I used a WiFi watchdog-reconnecter app for that, but still it was really annoying and caused few seconds internet outage each minute.
Then few months ago I've started using a smartwatch with smart notifications via bluetooth - and Nexus had problems with pairing and then with keeping the connection with the watch - it would randomly disconnect or I'd have to reboot the phone to try and connect the watch again. Watch automatically scans for the phone and tries to autoconnect to it - but Nexus is so terrible at it. I've tested the watch with other smartphones and none had these issues - all was flawless.
These problems all occured for me on all ROMs I've used with Android 4.4+ and I've tried stocks, EuphoriaOS, Chroma, PureNexus and now DirtyUnicorns. If I remember well, I had better bluetooth times with Chroma, but that I'll have to test again to make sure.
So guys here are my questions:
1. Do you know if Nexus 4 WiFi/Bluetooth problems were ever finally solved with a patch?
2. If you can relate your position to mine (using a smartwatch or something else that needs to reconnect to the phone automatically) then do you have these problems? If not, which ROM are you using and which kernel?
3. I've read that kernels don't matter in bluetooth and that it's mostly ROM based issue? Is that true, or maybe a specific kernel helps for these problems?
I'm using bluetooth to play music.
In the past I've had issues with audio cutting out over bluetooth on the official firmware. At some point it got fixed but I cannot remember when exactly.
Right now I am using PureNexus 6.0.1-20160311 and the audio problems came back.
That's all I can say but I did have a reliable ROM in the past.
Edit : I just installed the latest CM13 snapshot (2016-04-29) with Hellspawn r12 and Bluetooth audio stopped skipping.
I'm on the Resurrection Remix ROM, with no problems but I only use Bluetooth for the occasional file transfer.

Bluetooth issue

Hello, I have a rooted P9-lite, when the bluetooth is on and connected to a device, wifi slow down (~2mbps instead of ~15mbps when bluetooth is turned off). Am I the only one who have this issue ? Is it a hardware or a software issue? Thanks for any answers

I have the same problem. I think it's because of interferences between Wifi 2.4 ghz and bluetooth on our phone... I'm currently trying to find a solution but I fear I will fail...
If anyone has an idea...
I have done some search, but I haven't found any solutions. It doesn't works either on fresh stock rom or cm13 by meticulus, so yeah I think there are some interferences between Bluetooth and wifi and I don't know if this is fixable

I know we could fix our issue by connecting to a 5 ghz wifi but P9 lite doesn't support 5 Ghz, am I right?
I'm new to the P9 lite forum btw I have to learn
Yep, no 5ghz support! I think buying a good Bluetooth eadset should solves the problem (mine was ? 60euro)
i also have the same problem n i can't even connect with my car

We're talking about potential interference problem between wifi 2.4 ghz and bluetooth. I guess you don't have wifi on your car?
i have the same problem with my p10 lite ?
once i connect a headsets to my p10 lite wifi drops from 28Mbps to 1Mbps. Tried out different headsets and different routers. Switched channels in the router configuration. Did not help.
None of my other devices (Android or oOS) have this problem.
Do you know whether this os a hardware or software issue?
I suffer the same problem, the wifi speed drops down from 50Mbps to 17Mbps with the bluetooth earphones connected. Very hard to watch youtube videos, buffering all the time.
I have the same problem on my p10 lite. Even with 5ghz wifi!
Only one solution works: disable play services, or rollback to 11.0 version.
(Or disable bt).
Customer support didn't helped with this problem. Suggested hard reset.. Of corse didn't helped.

Miracast Issues

I'm having a terrible time getting a consistent miracast connection. The connection drops all the time, and I never had this issue on my previous device (Nexus 6p running Marshmellow). Nothing at all has changed with my setup. Anyone else having the same issue? Could it be related to the currently noted Wifi issue?
Hmm, i've made a quicktest with a video. And got many artifacts and also some pauses...
No drops, but again, didn't test for more than 2-3 minutes

DSF, thanks for the response. Maybe it would help if you have some background on my use case. I'm using the MS Display adapter in my car with the AppRadio Rootless app.
To try to get a consistent connection I've tried:
-Turning off: smart wi-fi switcher, to eliminate wifi interference
-Turning off: wifi scanning always available, to eliminate wifi interference
-Updating firmware on the MS Display Adapter
-Using GPS only for location services, to eliminate wifi interference
No luck still...have any advice on other things I could try?

No problem. Unfortunately my usage differs..
I tried to connect to a tv that has miracast support without any adapter.
And just tried again for about 10 minutes with a 1080p (not 60fps) youtube video and another local one: no drops.. but many artifacts, frame drops and lower quality and sound out of sync. I guess those are the limits of miracast, not being able to push decent amount of info.
I have wifi scanning turned off, location on (but no apps using it), bluetooth off..
Sorry, i can't help you more

Found out that switching the Advanced Wi-Fi settings to 2.4GHz helps. My cast connection is much more stable now.

Nice! On mine it's on auto
It might be issue with CPU power of phone or something else. On a panasonic TV without dongle, a Galaxy S7 works fine while A5 2017 shows artifacts. Oreo update to A5 makes no difference so I assume it could be a non-software issue.

Poor bluetooth connection

Hi guys. So I've searched about everything I can and can not find a fix for this. At first, my Bluetooth headset wouldn't connect but I've recently fixed that. Now it seems that if I travel more than 2 feet from my phone, the music stops playing. Even if I hold my hand over my phone or put it in my pocket, the music stops and once I take it back out and hold it close to my phone, it works again. Is this a Pie thing or what? I've went to developer options and changed the AVRCP to 1.6 but it doesn't help that much. I love this phone but this is almost a deal breaker for me. Really thinking of returning it and getting a Pixel 2XL if there is no fix. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!
Contact Essential support with this. They're aware of the issue but unsure if they can fix it. I don't know if this is new with Pie or not. I didn't get my Bluetooth headphones until late in the Pie beta.

Thanks. I emailed them. Hopefully this is something that can be patched up. How did your headphones do? Any issues? If not, what kind do you have?

I've been using Munitio NINES for like 5 years (they seriously are in awesome condition after all this time and sound amazing). But I've gotten frustrated a couple times not being able to charge while listening or forgetting the dongle at home. So I grabbed Marshall Major II's in June. These are my bluetooth headphones. They don't sound nearly as good as the Munitio's, but wireless is convenient.
So my experience? I was on Android Pie beta when I got them. Day 1 with the bluetooth headphones and on, if the phone is in my hand at waist level or higher, they work fine. Put it in my pocket or step away, it's like it's buffering constantly. Oddly, at home (suburb), the "buffering" is almost non-existent (key work "almost"). But I haven't tried stepping away from my phone with BT on. In the city where I work, it's almost unusable unless I hold my phone. I think it's interference with so much wifi since BT and most WiFi broadcast over 2.4 Ghz.
I changed my default Bluetooth version in the developer options and it seems that pairing goes quicker as well as device pickup. Have you messed with that?

Yeah. I changed it to 1.6, 1.5, 1.4, default, etc... With no luck. You said you have yours set on default? Is it working perfectly? It's not that mine won't connect, it the range. I just do get it. The more I research it, the more I think it's a Pie issue. I've got on some pixel forums and they have the same issue. I'm in touch with the essential support team so maybe they'll tell me they'll have a update out soon to fix this.
Ever since pie my phone's Bluetooth has stuttered in my car, also have issues connecting sometimes. Plus noticed issues with WiFi as well. It didn't do it until pie.
Bluetooth AVRCP Version = 1.6
Bluetooth Audio Codec = Qualcomm Aptx (not the hd one)
Bluetooth Audio Sample Rate = 48k
Bluetooth Bits per Sample = 32/sample
Bluetooth Audio Channel = Stereo
Bluetooth Audio LDAC = Balanced 660/606
Those are the settings I'm using and I never have any issues except my car stereo takes longer then I like to initialize...
Factory reset always does the trick! This phone is weird like that especially after a major update.
