Sorry if there's a thread for this but I'm on EE 4G UK with orange and want to unlock it can anybody recommend or post a link to unlock site they have used been taken once and im not doing it again unless one of you guys can help. I have had the sim I got with the note 3 in so it's ready to be unlocked.
Any help would be much appreciated. ?

You can buy unlock codes from eBay at around 8£.

That's an eBay premium seller right there. I got mine unlocked. It kinda says it takes 24 hours to send you the code but I got mine in under 15 minutes. Sends you an email to the PayPal email address with the unlock code.
I got my UK Note 3 unlocked for £7.99 within an hour here's the link to the actual one I used:

After trying 4 different sellers who all gave me a refund because they couldn't obtain code this seller sent it in 15 minutes.

This worked perfectly for me too.. took about 10 mins unlocking from ee
Phone came yesterday but its locked to Vodafone UK never said in the description or on their site where i had it from that it comes locked. Can't you just phone up Vodafone and request the phone to be unlocked?
I did this 2 years ago when I received my HTC One X from O2, they sent me the unlock instructions and codes all free of charge (and this was the day after I received my phone).
Yes, if you ring them and ask for it to be unlocked they will do it free, payg is normally charged but in contract providers unlock for free. O2 even have a website to request the simlock removal.

Not all network providers unlock for free Ee doesn't and pretty sure Vodafone and three don't

Vodafone do not unlock for free unless you are out of contract within contract it's £20 ,three unlock for free as do O2 but the rest charge

I got mine; but am dismayed at having to wait for the "actual promo code" still! Motorola wants to delay the purchase I guess. How did you get two? Did you have an assume name too like book authors?

Have you received confirmation emails, or actual codes?
I received the conformation email and it says I'll have my actual code by midnight.

the discount code system is probably the smarter way to do this so that they know how many users to expect and plan server load accordingly. we don't want another nexus 6 fiasco.
If anyone managed to get a spare promo code for the UK deal then I'd be eternally grateful to receive it PM me if you are feeling charitable.

I wanted to know if we're going to see any sim unlock for the sprint galaxy s7 edge for international use?
I know this is no big deal to the great developers here but as we know this phone has its boot loader locked. Or is it possible to sim unlock without unlocking the boot?
There was a guy in here who was offering the unlock domestic and international. He was asking for 11 dollars. I did it it works great. Tried an At&t sim on my Sprint S7E worked like a charm. Search you should find him. He has you contact him via Skype and walks you through it.

I tried the solution from idoneapps.com. Seems to have worked...I can put an AT&T GoPhone sim and it is recognized. I haven't activated the sim, though, so it doesn't connect to anything yet.

According to the info on their website, idoneapps can global unlock SIM without root...it just needs root to do other features. After performing the unlock, I can insert an AT&T sim and it is recognized, so I assume that it worked...

Correct,I checked and its confirmed that idoneapps unlocks the s7 edge without root,thanks @jw7997.

Hey all. I am on mintsim that runs on T-Mobile. It runs great. My T-Mobile v20 has that app unlock for the sim. I would like to unlock it because why not. Anyway around the app unlock? Thanks

Cellunlocker.net I've had great experiences with. Just did a ZTE ZMax Pro from metopcs yesterday that has the app unlock. It took about 30 minutes.
You might can find some cheaper ones if you have eBay just search for T-Mobile app unlock but usually those are slower.

You would need to ask T-Mobile or pay for an app unlock usually $20-$40 and only if the phone has a clean IMEI.

It may not work if it's been rooted etc what error do you get? Also T-Mobile has to do something on there side before the app will actually unlock the device.

There is no error, just kicking me out of this unlocking app. I have a green light from tmobile, however they couldn't make it work.

Yeah the app would give an error if you couldn't unlock. Only way may be need to relock boot loader if that's possible? I'm not sure don't own the V20. But the unlock app is the only way

Just really afraid to going back to stock. You never know if can root it again. Is it right?
indeed if your bootloader is unlocked, that ****ty app will not unlock your sim. I found this out when I re-locked my bootloader and the app worked. but by then I already had T-Mobile unlock my sim manually, which took a lot of calls and effort. any way unlocked i the bootloader again and the app just kept spinning.

I was on software version 10j during that and yes, I was able to. While I have not tested it myself, people say if you're on 10k you can still downgraded to 10j to root.
Is the unlock service down still for T-Mobile, I have a LG V20 I need unlocked. I just bought it & when I tried to unlock it using the app it fails, says phone not eligible. I checked the IMEI at T-Mobile web site& it comes up outstanding balance due on phone. But yesterday I recieved text messages from T-Mobile confirming the guy who sold me the phone made a payment plan agreement, something like 3 installment to get acct upto date, but tried unlocking after I recieved notice of payment arrangements, & still no good on unlocking with app. I'm hoping I can get it done paying a service, since I'm planning on using out of USA. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The unlock service was never down. The phone/past due account has to be fully paid off before T-Mobile will unlock the device.
