Antutu Benchmark - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Guides, News, & Discussion

Benchmarked my phone this am. Here are the results.

This is from my note 4

In performance mode (Exynos version):
I have about 174 500 in optimized mode.

My score is very low and Garden test is very very low
Anyone else has similar issues?

That was posted back in March, before the phone even came out. Which means it was a preproduction unit. Who knows what Samsung did to those phones to get those scores.

im using the same rom and kernel but performance is a little bit lower (165k). Did you modify something?

Just flash the stable version, overclocked by default, no apps needed and nothing more to do, that's all. But there is no overclock possibility with the semi-stock version.

thank you. I didnt get quite as high as 182k though, got like 175k give or take. everyone is different i guess?

i'm with bat rom, jesse kernel only gives me 100k and no wifi call, batstock rom gives me 165k after i changed the cpu speed from 1690 to 2310

I only got 123k without any other apps open, in performance mode, FHD+,Stock ROM, same results plugged and unplugged and also tested with WQHD+. Don't know why it's so low?

174k totally stock.

battery drain on sleep mode with a1 kernel (PROBLEM SOLVED)

Hi everyone!
I'm using a1 kernel since it came out and i know that in one version the problem Was solved, i think it was in 1.5.3, but after that i keep having the same problem with the very last version 2.2. Maybe i'm missing something, could anybody give me a hand? Thank you very much
EDIT:
OK guys problem solved, i just installed us stock deodex rom wich you can find into the android development thread, after that, wipe cache and dalvik and flash a1 2.2 kernel and the problem seem to be gone. No more draining battery in sleep mode
Not experiencing this myself. Try posting in the Dev thread and get the dev's attention.

I was using stock ics from uk. But yesterday i switch to infamous 1.2 and it seems like the problem its gone. I have to make some test and ill tell you. Thank you for your help dude.
I was getting loads of drain even when in deep sleep and even on stock the Kernel too, so I don't think it's A1 causing the issue, just to test, I removed Google+ since then I don't get half the drain I had before, perhaps you could try that.
Swyped from my finger to your face, on my Samsung Galaxy Note.

I was thinking something similar, some app can be the cause of this but not google + because i dont even have it. Im going to leave the tablet for 2 hours and see if battery drops or not. I'll tell you.
Another thing you can do is check the Data Usage area in Settings...it gives you that nice breakdown of how much data apps are using both when active and in the background. Perhaps you have another data hogger running that you don't know about. I'm on Infamous 1.2 as well with A1 1.5.9XE and don't have many complaints about battery...when it drains quickly it's because of me keeping the screen on all day
as other said here, even stock kernel has problem with battery drain. you know what I found out that it is better battery usage and excellent stand by when I got flashed JB ROM. I believe it is related to Android OS up until JB, it seems like Google fixed a lot of things.

Ok, battery is still droping, is like one percent every hour, its not a high drain but i remember my battery didnt drop for days. I will try tonight with cm9 and a1 kernel. Lets see what happen...
I have same problem with A1 Kernel 2.2 +. about 2 % drain each hour.......
I tried to downgrade to 1.5.9 tonight, let see the result............

Btw the test with cm9 and a1 2.2cmwifi was great, not even a 1% in 9 hours.
Today i will test the ics stock kernel+rom to make sure its not a problem of them.

Ok thats good, but i remember having drains with 1.5.9 even, maybe its an app that is causing this drains... yeah and i think know what app is.
Anyway im in cm9+a1 and its running better than stock rom and without any drain for now. Even that ill continue tests just to find out whats the real cause.
Noted and thanks.
I will try the stock rom in XDA instead of official site......

For me that solved it. You must use the deodexed, zip aligned us rom available in the development section. It might also work with the UK rom, but I haven' t tried that.
But if you are on stock you won' t loose anything as there is no need to do a full wipe.
BTW, you must flash that rom from CWM recovery not from Odin.

MBP vs OUR ROM vs TW DAILY DRIVER

Guys can anyone tell me which is the best among the aforestated in the title.
Particularly when clubbed with volt kernel in terms of a better battery : performance ratio minus any bug / heating / lags / freezes or hiccups.
Thanks in advance.

i would recommend tw daily driver since i uses it a lot before i switched to Ale V4, works fine with voltaqe kernel, tw core daily driver is also lighter since its debloated and more updated u might as well try all 3 to test them urself so u will know exactly which one is best
btw u should ask in general or Q/A because its development box here so must be only related to development of a rom
Thank you so much. Pardon my ignorance and hereafter I will post such queries in the appropriate section.
Till yesterday even I was on tw core. I used acr 16.7 and I thought that this version allowed to save calls to extsd and by that time I was using tw daily driver.
Today I tried our rom, and acr didn't allow me to save to extsd. Is there any way to make the app to save calls in extsd ?
Can someone suggest me a vanilla android rom with decent battery life and less heating issues.??

I don't use that model but from what I understand it doesn't have that much that isn't touchwiz based. there are some cm roms rated 5 stars mostly 5.1.1 and one 6.0.x at 5 stars at the top of the page http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9500-orig-develop sorry I don't follow those threads so it's best to read a few of them.

Roms that work with our phone

Are there any other roms other than echo and tek that work with our model?

No, you could just install root and stay stock. Debloat and install viper and exposed but after a few weeks the phone starts to slow almost to an unbearable point. That's all we have and it doesn't look like we'll be getting more as that locked bootloader is here to stay.

I couldn't take it so i went back to stock and just rooted my note 5 as i like switching up once and a while. Running note 7 port now from crisscross, beautiful. In a few days I'll go to teks new one. Note 5 still awesome.

Did you make the changes to the kernel settings recommended all over the root threads ? have been using it and now Echoe for two months and have close to stock performance and stability with the engineer kernel .

Yes I did and it just kept getting slower. I tried both roms. I'm on stock rooted with xposed installed and it's quick. I haven't installed any xposed modules yet though so we will see.

[LOOKING FOR TESTERS] Custom kernel for AOSP based ROMs

Hello everyone, I would like to start working on a custom kernel for AOSP based ROMs on the Honor 8, but I don't own the device. If you are interested write here "I'm in" and I'll start working on it.
Feautures will be:
alucard governor
blu_active governor
darkness governor
joypad support
Apple filesystem(s) support
Obviously I'm not bounded in any way to begin or conclude development
I'm in bro.
Somehow I'm not able to compile OpenKirin's kernel sources
Edit
Compiled with no modifications, now I'll start to customize
I'm in ,i will help u in my weekends
@DigiGoon can you test?

Just ran antutu and got this.....
Is WhatsApp notification working properly on this rom??
Can you tell me how did you get to this version of ZUI? I am currently on AEX 5.1 and its so good. I want to go back to the stock but this time with chinese ZUI.
I know i should first flash cn zui 1.9 to lock the boot loader but don't know how to proceed after that? Is there a jump build directly after cn 1.9?
I thought to first flash qpst cn 1.9 then a qpst of cn 3.x and then this OTA build via recovery.
please tell me more.
I am not able to sign in to google account via play store or any google app. Whenever I am opening app it closes itself and I've flashed latest opengapp on this rom and I've also tried play store of the chinese app store but it too didn't worked.
Please help me out......
