Turn navbar to black while keyboard is up - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Anyone figure out how to make the navbar black when the keyboard is activated? Setting the color to Black in the display settings does not help.

Yes I used the Navbar Apps. Set to static black and added an exception to the launcher so it's still transparent on there. Looks so much better.

AOKP Navigation Bar transparency

I'm not sure why this happens, and therefore I'm posting this here.

So, notification bar and navigation bar get transparent when using home screen, for some reason. I'm not sure does Nova Launcher or some setting on AOKP do this. They revert back to black when using any app. It looks nice on lock screen, but not so nice on the home screen, as you can see from the screenshot.
I did search for this, but didn't find anything, so I thought that someone here could help me to disable it. :highfive:
I'm using AOKP, Nova Launcher and Franco Kernel.
I dont know how to turn it off, but for the ugliness on the homescreen, turn of shadows in apex settings>Homescreen

Thanks for this, but it really doesn't take away the problem :/ I would just wanna get solid theme.
I also noticed that if I put transparency to my application menu, it will show transparent bars too.

I'm sorry, then I can't help anymore. I don't own this device so I don't have enough experience. :/

The transparency is set by the rom. To change it just change the opacity in ROM Control for both the navigation and notification bars.
The transparency only really works in the launcher (home pages, lock screen and app drawer). Apps don't draw behind the navigation or notification bars (there's no background behind the bars) hence they only show as black. At least that's my understanding of how it works.
Edit: To disable transparency set the opacity to 100%.

Hmm, I couldn't find the right toggles from the settings, could you write the route to the right one? I tried multiple toggles but none seemed to work.. maybe they were just the wrong ones.
I noticed this when I went to aokp build 4. I found that setting the transparency setting to 50% matched the homescreen
Rom control -> General UI -> Transparency Settings
give that a go and see if it works

Thanks for this! Seems weird that 0 alpha means full transparency, and 255 alpha means no transparency at all. Normally in colours 255 is the lightest and 0 darkest. Anyhow, the problem is now solved :victory:

Why is there black color at the bottom on my homescreen?

Hi,
My nexus 4 is on PA 4.0 beta3 and franco r203.
Is there anyone can explain me why is there black color at the bottom on my homescreen like in the picture attached?
Is it because the color profile? If it is, could you please give me the profile to remove the black color?
Thank you
If you mean the shadowy appearence(or white to black dimming or gradient or whatever) I think it is a kitkat feature and it is normal if it was pure white(in your case) you would not see navigation buttons in a white holo menu. But to be honest I would like to know if there is a mod or setting to adjust this because there is a bug with that gradient shadowy thing(if you try to press menu button and get into any app-for example settings- then try to return homescreen with back button-twice atleast-, you will notice nav and status bar is more transparent than normal if you push home button then it returns normal and it doesnt look good)

Question Resurrection Remix Navbar Settings

How do I make the background of the navbar be either transparent or black? I did this on another phone with the may 10 release, got a new phone, and can't find it on the may 12 release?
I have found how to arrange and assign the buttons and how to make the buttons any color or transparency I want. The background is grey and I want it black like my wallpaper. I don't care if it is transparent or opaque black, but ...

Swift black

Anyone got swift black theme working on their system UI? I still get the grey QS and volume shade and settings app. What do I do?
Nope, I've been using the destiny white and Stock dark sub themes

Help with advice for Launcher.

I can not live with this Oneplus Launcher how could any launcher leave out infinite scroll? So I tried Nova and it failed miserably as I could not change navigation bar color so I had a stupid white navigation bar with very very light shade of gray buttons that I could not see for the life of me. I was like what type of launcher fails to give color control?
Nova Launcher
1. Unable to see navigation buttons
2. Changing highlight color did not change still remained white when on or Orange
3. Locked to only about 12 colors.. No way to customize color to match. Poor color adjustment
4. Feature I did like is the swipe on folder or app and infinite scroll
Other then that the Oneplus Launcher is not bad so I am looking for an alternative. Can anyone suggest an alternative that will do what I need? Infinite scroll, swipe app edit, and true color controls?
You could try action launcher. I have been using that on my 6T since i got it and can't see myself using anything else. Has pretty much every customization setting you could need.
