Can I reflash my B2017G (US model) to European stock ROM? (ZTE Axon 7 Mini) - ZTE Axon 7 Mini Questions & Answers

It just bought it in the US... I want it to behave like a stock ROM European Axon 7 Mini.
I found out that the US model has limited language settings available.
Thank you!
Olli

I have the same exact question, not much info on the web. Anyone know if this is possible?

Do you have any firmware to flash (not update file)? I have ZTE Axon 7 mini from UK market and I can't update to european 7.1 android system. If I use system update function it cannot see any update, and same situation is with stock RECOVERY - after clicking "install zip from SD" and selecting file, phone restarts immidietly with regular 6.0 system.

Yes, you can flash it with the European stock firmware if it is the same model no. My device is ZTE B2017G bought in the US. I accidentally selected US Band in the engineering menu and I lost network services because I don't use the device in the US. I searched all through the net, no luck until I decided to flash the European firmware and it worked perfectly. I updated the firmware to 7.1.1 from the Russian ZTE site and it is still working well.

After flashing Chinese AL10 to L29 NXT-C900B133 what stock ROM can I use?

I've reasonably scoured the Mate 8 section looking for what ROM to use to convert my NXT-C900B133 to a locked, stock version and avoid the problems with the phone being unlocked and untrusted, not to mention not receiving OTA updates.
There are pages and pages of questions and answers, but I haven't found an answer to this problem of mine.
Many folk must have used that thread on how to convert an AL10 to L29 but no one seems to have clarified how to return the Mate 8 to a locked state which will receive OTA. I saw someone asked a similar question but got no answer. Possibly I won't either but I'm now out of ideas so why not ask?
I never tested NFC before I changed ROMs and I'm hoping an updated stock ROM may fix an NFC reading problem I'm having.

Thanks very much. I will hunt down C436B190 as I wanted to have the international version, but could only buy a Chinese version.
Cheers.

My search for C436B190 didn't bring up any results.
I then tried the link in your signature (latest stock version) but that didn't work (using the three buttons together & dload folder). Got the "software failed install, incompatible with current version, reboot" error.
I don't suppose you have a link to the version your recommend?
Cheers.
Try this budyy
Download
I also live in South Africa and got the C900B133. There is a C900B188 available if you just want to stick with your current "global" version.
I changed my country code to the C636 and flashed C636B321. If you do this according to @somboons SRK Tool and instructions you will end up with a Locked stock C636B321 which is great.

Hi there, thanks for the link (I assume C436B190?).
I downloaded the update, which took almost 3 hrs the site is sooo slow.
I connected an SD card with the update in a folder called dload. Start the three finger boot and was really disappointed to be told at 5%:
"software failed to install
incompatibility with current version
reboot"
I tried again with moving dload to internal memory, but the same outcome.
Scratching my head here. Are my steps faulty?
Cheers.

Hi, someone in the same boat so to speak!
I didn't know that the C900 part designated your country code. What made you chose C636 (China)? I have seen @somboons pages but didn't find answers to my problem, well staring me in the face anyway!
Does ZA have a country code and stock ROM? I went into Huawei's new store in Melrose Arch this morning. The guy tried to help but couldn't assist with a stock ROM and referred me to their main office in Bryanston. I figure at this point I will get better information on XDA!
My Mate 8 is just rejecting any ROM I try to flash. On the face of it, only the right ROM will be accepted, but I haven't found it (or I'm doing it wrong!).

I am not sure of the South African country code, if it even has one, but I have another Huawei which is C185 which is Africa and middle-east. It all depends who imported the phone and who you bought it from. Huawei phones don't control their ROMs like Samsung.
C636 is Asia. China has it's own model NXT-AL10 instead of NXT-L29. I chose NXT-L29 C636 B** simply because it had the highest update number for 'international versions ..which is B321 ... So I installed NXT-L29C636B321.
All international versions, NXT-L29, are full English, as apposed to China model NXT-AL10 which is mainly chinese.
Also any ROM that you choose from C3** has the new EMUI 4.1 and they are NOT officially released by Huawei yet, so you flash them at your own cost...although I have found them pretty good.
You cannot just flash any ROM over your current ROM. You have to change region(called: debranding) and then you can flash the ROM you choose from that region.
So you need to spend a bit of time reading up on the threads by @somboons because EVERYTHING is there...you just have to decide what you want.

Hi @Finefeather,
just to clarify that I imported the Mate 8 from HKG, and it was an AL10. Before ordering the Chinese version, I had read that thread on how to convert to international. That process worked perfectly, leaving me with this NEXT NXT-C900B133.
Did you follow the same path as me? (AL10 flashed to NXT-C900B133 flashed to NXT-L29C636B321)
You said: "You have to change region(called: debranding)". That's news to me, thanks. This is probably why every attempt to flash C900 with C436 hasn't worked. I'm going to look for the @somboons SRK Tool information now!

Mine was a NXT-L29C900B133 to start with, bought locally from an online shop. I had to debrand to C636 with @somboons SRK Tool which works great and then I just flashed straight over with dload method...My phone model now is NXT-L29C636B321 all locked and stock.
Just make sure you understand all the steps before you start. I spent 2 weeks reading @somboons threads before I did the deed...I come from years of Samsung so everything is a little strange to start off with.
What's your country code?
First you have to unlock bootloader
Second install TWRP
Third Root after debugging
Fourth flash new firmware
Then do a dload to lock
Country code? Currently the version is reported as C900 which is apparently Global.
Thank you for the steps involved, which don't look too complex when you list them. I've only achieved step one, but the rest look straightforward. The problem is knowing this stuff before you start! Cheers.

The only thing that I am expecting to be different is that more updates are being given for the European markets and that the English dialogues in the services to be better adjusted to English and the services available in Europe Rather than China

New Mate 8, old Software

Greetings, people.
Since my old Mate 8 had a problem with the screen, Huawei Colombia decided to give me another one for warranty. The new one is from a different Carrier but is the same. Unfortunately, the Software version is stuck in EMUI 4.0 and Firmware NXT-L09COLC45B135.
I'm just curious... C45 version is for Latin America devices as C432 is for Europe. I know that. My question is... Is there a more advanced software version for this particular device/carrier? Is it possible to flash a Nougat ROM for an European model?
Thanks in advance, guys.

You can flash an european firmware without problem!
I mean...unlock bootloader, install TWRP and then flash the ROM? Can I use this one (NXT-L09C432B580)?

How to install european/chinese ROM on US version of M3(BTV-W09)

Hi M3 users,
I would like to kindly ask you if it is possible to flash european(C100) or chinese(C233) version of the ROM to US version of M3(C128).
I successfully unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP(by greatslon) and rooted my BTV-W09. I managed to enable 5G via the build.prop modification too. But now I was thinking to flash over my US ROM(C128B003) with european one(C100B006) - is that possible and how difficult is it? I downloaded latest european build C100B006(1.8GB file) from Huawei's italian webpage and would like to flash it, unless there it may damage my M3. Is there any fool-proof way to do it safely?
Looking forward for your replies, many thanks and with best regards,
Tomas
Hi,
I have a BTV-DL09 (LTE version) EU C100 version.
I have successfully flashed C233, C199 and other versions. After this I reflashed the C100B009 and got my M3 like new.
Usually (with Huawei at least) the localized versions are interchangeable.
Best if you have also your original ROM, in any case

Many thanks for the info Nicolap,
so what is the procedure of flashing euro/chinese rom over my US version. Can it be done with TWRP? What is the safest way to do it?
Many thanks in advance

Want to flash C100 firmware
Hey all, Just got my M3 from China.
Model No: BTV-W09
Build Number: BTV-W09C233B030
Was wondering how should I proceed if I wish to flash to a UK version of the software? Any guides out there?
Many thanks for your help!
Not quite the same tablet but i had issues with updates on my EU flashed C100 (LTE version) rom as my hw vendor an oemregion partition was still asia.
To get things working properly i had to install the EU oeminfo partition THEN flash the correct firmware. Before that auto updates picked up nothing and on upgrading to Nougat things like bluetooth broke.
That was for the LTE version though.

ZTE Blade V7 EU (p653a10_EU)

Hi everyone, I'm trying to fix a ZTE Blade V7 and need to perform an upgrade via SD card in recovery mode.
After a search on ZTE's website, I got a hold on the Turkish version of the firmware, but it doesn't work with my phone, which was bought in the EU, specifically in Germany (p653a10_EU).
I contacted ZTE directly via email but got no answer so far.
Does anyone have a link to the original (not custom) firmware for the EU version of the phone?
I'm running Android 6.0 at the moment so anything 6.0 or higher would work.
Thank you very much!
