A2017G Hard Brick - no recovery, only DFU - ZTE Axon 7 Questions & Answers

I think I fucced up pretty badly this time...
I was on LOS, wanted to get back to stock, for some reason wiped and rebooted...
Infamous DFU mode. I can't get to FTM (tried power + vol down and it only turns on, scrolls a little and turns off), and I wasn't able to use axon7tool using zadig. No recovery at all, no fastboot, nothing...
I've installed QDLoader 9008 drivers and MiFlash actually recognizes the... thing. Can anyone tell me if this is worth trying/what I have to do? Thanks
P.S I have no way of returning it to ZTE
Edit: The miflash thing didn't work as expected, can't find programmer file

Look like you kill yourseft this time.
You have to enter EDL with any cost, or at less FTM - let batttery drain up and try again.
Otherwise, people say somethings about a DIY EDL cable, but I not really sure

I've found this QPST thing from Qualcomm, also heard that the only thing missing is the programmer which is not released. It detects my device, reports it is a Sahara Memory Dump, and that's pretty much that. I hope that people is actually looking into this
Also I noticd that in the first seconds when it is seemingly installing, it says it is a Sahara Download. Does that help?

I also wanted to know, is there a main thread for this sort of thing? I've seen @tenfar 's thread but there is nothing to do on A2017G's

https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/a2017-4th-category-brick-repair-manual-t3585898
I know you're already active in this thread, but I don't know if you understand it in depth. You must open your device to enter into edl mode. In edl you can flash twrp and are back in business. So your only way to enter edl is to open your brick as described.

Thank you, however i wanna be extra cautious here. When I have to connect the test point to ground, do I connect it with the SIM slot? What is valid as ground?

If MiFlash recognizes it you should be able to flash a stock Rom. The I have the A2017U so I could be wrong

It's all done, thank you though. I disassembled the whole thing and did the short to ground thing, and after literally 30 tries it flashed the damn thing

Softbricked axon 7, need help !

Hey guys, I have a A2017 axon 7, and I tried to upgrade from Marshmalow to nougat by flashing the B04 update from TWRP. I have now the factory recovery mode, and when I try to go in fastboot, it tries to launch the bootloader( which just tells me that my device software cannot be checked for corruption and that I need to lock my bootloader). When I try to boot normally it stays on the same "bootloader screen" and tells me to press the start button which makes the phone display the linux logo.... I'm a bit lost, I'm on ArchLinux could you pls help me ?
Thx !

Well, you should use MiFlash and install the stock system through EDL. The problem is that MiFlash is for Windows x64. if you could get a win10 x64 pc, you could fix it in a minute.
Or get to the recovery if you can, and flash Nougat again but via an SD card. But maybe you won't be able to get to the recovery mode

How did you relock the bootloader? If you used a guide, you should have found a warning, and if you used axon7toolkit a message should've popped up.
You messed up. Real bad. You are probably on DFU mode, and the only ways to get out of there are:
-discharge the battery completely and try to enter FTM mode (i think you have to do that while it is connected to a PC), I think it was with volume down + power. this method works for very few people. If you enter ftm mode, issue 'adb reboot edl' and use MiFlash right away with a FULL_EDL package
-use the 4th category brick repair manual (disassemble the phone, short some pins)

I think DFU Mode is when I get recognized as ZTE Handset diagnostic .... according to this guide : https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/a2017-4th-category-brick-repair-manual-t3585898) It's a2017 but still.
"Axon 7 restore manual from bricked conditions when only ZTE Handset Diagnostic Interface(DFU) (COM...) mode is detected"
But I get recognized as QDloader 9008 and miflash also recognizes it as com10 or something.

it's not necessarily like that. DFU mode is just a mode in which the phone can be. Sometimes Windows just installs the QDLoader driver even though it's not EDL. and if you tried miflash and it didn't work, then it's most probably that.
There's a way to check. If you go to Properties, there should be a number that identifies the mode. if you google it and 'dfu interface' appears, then you are dfu-bricked
But if you locked the bootloader without being fully stock then it's most probably dfu bricked anyways
Again, how did you lock the bootloader?
I don't actually know if I really locked the bottloader.
So, I had unlocked bootloader and twrp. I just bootet into the bootloader, typed "fastboot oem lock" in adb and it said OK on the PC.
But on the phone it never asked me if I want to lock it or anything. And I never said MiFlash isn't working. It recognizes my phone but i judt didn't TRY to flash anything because I didn't want to make the situation even worse perhaps

Lol it doesn't ask you if you want to lock it, that's the point with bootloader mode. there's no system, no UI, and you make stuff via commands.
This is why you shouldn't even attempt this kind of stuff without knowing how it works. At least if you had used axon7toolkit, it would've told you not to.
Find a FULL_EDL package for your model. If you have an A2017, simply use this one:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634790942
or
https://mega.nz/#!JqwEUDCa!lW3NDaBNbmMxhtw6XajspHBJaaEmLC8uNvMZS5ww0EQ
(they are the same file)
Unzip it, leave the folder somewhere handy, put the phone in what you believe is EDL, open MiFlash and select the folder, and flash

Yeah, I screwed up, I know. But what is the point of flashing a full edl package for the phone if I have to put the phone in "what I believe id edl mode"?
And what shall I do if I succeed at something? Besided that, I can't find any EDL package for the A2017G?

Okay let me tell you this real straight. I have done this. I have the G packages, I just thought you were the op for some reason. Look at the back of the phone and confirm whether you have an A2017G or an A2017 just in case, or you might mess up even more, as hard as that can be.
at any rate, your fears are all dumbfounded, because in the situation that you are in, you have 3 options:
a) disregard all the help that i'm trying to give you, even though I have already done the process; and keep your brick on a shelf.
b) search on google or xda yourself, then do the process, without bothering here with your lack of trust
c) follow my advice and do the damn process
Whichever option you choose, I'm gonna leave the package here:
https://mega.nz/#!UrxCRCrQ!a4sXVFu5oqct2sWStfN_luGpN5HEGXxE4FcrRteagQ4
or

Again, I HAVE FOLLOWED THE 4TH CATEGORY BRICK REPAIR GUIDE AND FIXED MY G. I flashed stuff through EDL at least 10 times. And there wouldn't be a bunch of EDL packages for the G if they had a 100% chance of bricking your phone
So. If you decide to do this, turn your phone off. connect the USB cable to the PC but not the phone. Hold both volume buttons (but not the power button) and insert the USB cable at the same time. Then fire up MiFlash and try to flash the file (you have to unzip the folder, then select the folder on miflash, then flash. Here 2 things may happen:
a) it flashes and you can just go bother someone else
b) it doesn't and you have to follow the 4th category brick repair guide
Simple as that. if it fails, you might want to check if the 'Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008' is actually EDL mode or DFU mode, so you can do that by going to properties and checking some device identifier number on google (haven't done that, i just read that it can be done somewhere here).

I dont have hardware problems. I flashed the Pixel Experience rom in february with sucess but I didnt like it. It had too much battery drain. Then I wanned to try some other rom like AICP. But in the process of flashing something went wrong. I wasnt able to flash it, always gave me the error 7. Then it simply died. I was rebooting TWRP mode and it went dead. Now just vibrates when I try to turn on. I tried the QFIL process (both volumes + power) but I dont even know. How can we know that it in qfil mode? My pc wont recognize anything. Not in Flash One, Not in QPST, nothing. Am I doing something wrong? The phone vibrates so its charged. I installed the Qualcomm drivers properly, I thing, eventhow it doesnt appear the qualcomm 9008 port in the device manager. Its suppose to appear before the phone is pluged right? Thank you for the reply.
I've no idea how to help you... Sorry.

Instead of creating a new post why not just read the enormous unbrick forums that exists and have proven steps. Many, Many phones have been debricked using those steps.
Hint, read the last pages for updated links to the software tools needed.
Next, I just found this cable which will help immensely with unbricking your device: https://www.amazon.com/GPG-EDL-Cabl...r1&keywords=edl+cable+for+wall+qualcomm+usb+c

Your phone is probably fixable.
Based on what you stated above, it seems that you downloaded and attempted to install the wrong version of TWRP and now your phone has no recovery at all.
Here is partial instructions I posted in the unbricking forum : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76100899&postcount=121
Use those instructions along with is mentioned below. I have personally helped so many people unbrick their phone that I have lost track and this is the reason why the posts are so long and extensive. Because sometimes what works for one person does not work for the next. So I have essentially have taken everyone's great advice and updated the links, made the instructions steps a little more concise and easier to read, fixed some incorrect steps or added the needed skipped steps. Plus added my own research into what I believe is now a definitive guide for unbricking the Leeco variants X720 and X727. The point of not reposting the information here is to keep everything from becoming more fragmented.
Yes, it's possible that you have a hardware issue. But, its also possible that it can be fixed!
Remember that you will not see the port unless you are in EDL mode
Just press volume △ (+) and volume ▽ (–) buttons together while powering the phone on.
It should now be EDL mode. If you cannot get into EDO mode, you cannot do anything else.
If you get an error, press and hold the power button while at the same time hold vol up + and down simultaneously plug the usb cord into the back of the computer while holding the buttons.
Yes, It's a pain and this is why the deep flash cable is handy....it's a special cable ( so your extra cables will do nothing to help you) The deep flash cable will automatically put your phone into EDL mode and allow you to use Flash on.
Install the Qualcomm QDLoader 9008 driver: https://goo.gl/9E3bKq or the from links provided in the unbrick forum.
There are multiple versions or Qfil, some have issues. I posted the correct one that works.
FOR anything else go to that forum read my and everyone else's posts. Again, I keep all of my linked files are up to date, and many are located on my own drives.
You can make one of these cables. Here's a video that shows you how:
https://www.youtube.com/watch v=kSiGsYK66gM&lc=z220yhtqvwyyct21pacdp432sh2xjecek10dae1jen5w03c010c.1524884617336803
it will not be a quick fix.
There are 4 or 5 different unbricking options and it requires persistence and patience.
The good news is that your phone has a solution that may work.
So when your where flashing a rom you got error 7 and your phone went dead.
I had gotten that same error.
Error could mean two things 1) update recovery or update firmware.
My point is sounds nice like hardware issue.
These phones are known for just dieing.
Also getting into that mode you have to push power+volume+volume- at the same time.

Bricked my Xiaomi Mi A1, Stuck in EDL 9008.

Hello everybody,
First off, I hate people who don't search on google before making a post, I have been searching for 4 days and I feel that it's appropriate to ask now.
I will make 2 parts to this thread, one will be a very fast explanation of what I did and the second part will be the same but a very thorough with a step by step process of what I messed up...
TL;DR: I was tired, late in the evening I flashed for some reason a Partition table of a Mi Note 3 on my Mi A1... I am now bricked and cannot access anything, fastboot, ADB, recovery nothing! I guess my phone is in EDL mode cause when I plug it in it flashes its led. "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" Is what I see in my device manager.
What do? oh, I forgot! I cannot access anything through any combination of buttons. I am stuck here, where I am!
The full thorough explanation for people who are bothered to read fully. (Includes my excuses for making noob mistakes, might be fun to read idk.)
Young me on a Sunday evening decides to reinstall magisk but this time with twrp cause I did it without twrp (yeah yeah I know). I was left without OTA's and after uninstalling anything that had something to do with Xposed or magisk I trashed it all. and stupid me thought that maybe? maybe? just maybe deleting Dalvik Cache would help me get my OTA's back after injecting my original ROM. This is where the fun begins.
I was not wanting to go through reinstalling magisk and all that to wipe the Dalvik Cache, I thought that that was my mission now, so I decided to search for methods that don't require root or being in the system, so some kind of fastboot or ADB command or something idk. I tried installing twrp and without my understanding that failed miserably and then I read some post where someone said that they flashed a mi note 3 partition table on their phone and something worked. Being the naïve little boii that I am, let's do that hey? Bam! bricked! I read somewhere I can open the phone and remove the battery and not having the tools is a mess, having to ask friends for some and voiding my warranty for something that probably won't work and after reading I understood that I'm in "EDL 9008 recovery" or something like that. I cannot boot into anything, I only have EDL 9008 to work with. I tried using Xiaomi's flasher tool and it would never respond to the initial hello packet (duuhh! I can't use ADB nor fastboot).
I know that this was stupid, I know! I learnt my lesson. If there is nothing we can do can I at least somehow get my internal storage data back? I deleted the backups from google drive for a short amount of time but randomly 5hrs prior to this sad story. All I have safe are now my contacts.
I hope you guys have some ideas! I feel like I'm fked but maybe with EDL 9008, there is a little glimmer of light?
P.S. If you guys somehow get me into fastboot I can flash a correct partition table back. My PC has all drivers so I can do this!
Sincerely, Micheal.
There is a way although i did tried it yet.
First of all sorry for my English.
Download latest MiFlash tool and qualcomm driver, this package contain both but not latest MiFlash so you should download lastest version from official site.
https://www.fshare.vn/file/H3R8M6OMRP2R
Download lastest stock rom.
You will need a good USB type C cable, dont use the one come with phone because you dont want to cut it in half.
Yes, that exactly what i said. Cut it in half, there are 4 small wire (or maybe 5 with type C?), remove it outer plastic and reconnect them.
Join the green and black cable, like you short circuit them, then plug your phone into PC with that cable without release green and black, wait for 5 sec then seperate them, the green and black.
Check device manager on your PC, you should hear device connect sound and qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader show up under Ports.
Open MiFlash and try to flash it.
You may want to check this video, although it in Vietnamese but you should understand the usb cable part.

Hi, interesting situation. What about following this guide: http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html ?
Its for some other phone, but try instaliing some drivers and you may get some signal of life.
Very interesting
I have thought about doing this as I had an old type-c lying around that came with the phone (I use a beautiful cable I bought off amazon) and saw this method to flash but never tried it..
I'll give it a go thanks.

I have thought about doing this as I had an old type-c lying around that came with the phone (I use a beautiful cable I bought off amazon) and saw this method to flash but never tried it..
I'll give it a go thanks.

Yes, thats what I meant. Well, I dont know how to help you, wish you luck. I remember how I flashed wrong ROM for my S3 Mini and it was completly trashed, I'm glad that Xiaomi gives us at least some signs of life and hope.
And btw. I would rather charge the phone somehow - I hope it charges even in EDL mode, because if your phone dies while flashing with MiFlash, things can be even worse.
EDIT: I also found this guide, you can try it out: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-unbrick-via-external-sdcard-qfil-t3748946
Okay so now a major reply!
I have stated in the OP that I am already in EDL, there is no need for cutting the cable or installing any driver, I am in EDL 9008 I don't need to "try to get there" as i'm already there.
These guides failed miserably as I have already tried them, my phone "doesn't receive a hello packet" from my phone, as I can't use adb or fastboot, or recovery.
I'll download linux and give that usb method a go then

Something that is never mentioned is to disable driver enforcement, this time hello packet was successfully recieved and flashed... Hold your happiness, cause now EDL no longer works so I can't see it in any com port and i'm certainly still in edl cause of the flashing led. Only difference I see is that now the led flashes when I hold the power button??? hmmmmmmm
To clarify:
Can't boot
Device was flashed successfully
Com port on pc can no longer see phone even after reboot
adb still don't work (proves again i'm in edl)
I'm in an even stickier situation now, can't access with my pc hmmmm..

So did you flash official stock ROM? Because I dont understand why doesnt it work... btw. when you flashed the ROM, did you lock bootloader?
Cant be battery dead?
If you are on "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" you will be able to flash stock fastboot firmware. Flash it using MiflashTool. Normally Miflashtool will recognized it as COMXX, where XX is the number of the port.
It's the official rom for the march ota.
The phone works, apparently it was encrypting everything... and now as I interrupted it, the encrypting failed and I lost all my data.....
Phone works but could have been better.
Before I reset the phone to factory, as i cannot use it yet, is there any way to get anything personal back? or is it gone gone and just factory reset?
What I see after boot, the phone resets every minute

Good job mate, so that SD card method worked with Linux? Be happy that your phone is alive.
EDIT: Maybe consider locking bootloader? Try it if youre on official stock.
EDIT 2: By flashing that ROM I guess you lost all data, but you can try to boot in TWRP without installing it and browse in file manager to see, if there is any data.

No... I was going to do that tomorrow but I decided to disable driver signature enforcement which worked. This should be written everywhere if it's this important..
Is there still a way to get my internal data back? Question as well, in recovery "mounting" the data partition will that let me get everything back "mounting" the drive to the pc? or do i not understand what mounting is.

As I said, you can try it, but when I flashed my Nougat stock ROM, i lost all the data. Or you can boot into TWRP and connect with USB to your computer to see the data in phone.
Good that your phone is working now, as for the data, i once forgot to remove encrypt before flash custom rom, but when enter TWRP it will ask for old password to decrypt. Just enter your old pass then connect to PC, or use TWRP file explorer to copy your data to sdcard

I understood why I can't get the data back, if android fails at the encryption it jsut deletes everything!

[SOLVED] A2017G Hard brick, Unauthroized ADB and DFU Only.

Hey guys,
Guess today it was my turn ****ing up.
I apparently have completely bricked my Axon 7 after trying to go from LOS 15.1 to stock oreo beta. The only thing I seem to be able to boot to is DFU mode and for some reason, if I press the Power button + Vol Down I will get stuck on the ZTE Logo and my PC will detect my phone through the ADB interface but every time I try doing something it says my device is unauthorized. Is there any way I can authorize the device whilst being completely bricked?
The only other thing I get is the unlocked bootloader warning screen. If I don't press anything the phone will be stuck there, if I select recovery the phone will simply shut down and anything else will result in a reboot. I have also tried a deep flash cable that that only results on the phone being stuck at the unlocked bootloader screen.
I cannot access the bootloader,
I cannot access EDL mode
I can access ADB, but device shows as unauthorized.
I can access DFU mode.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have looked at the Hard brick guide that involves taking the phone apart but that's not something I really want to do.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: My phone gets detected by MiFlash but every time I try flashing I get a cannot receive hello packet and object reference not set to an instance of an object.
ZTE axon 7 EDL tool detects it in ADB mode but says ERROR! NO ANSWER FROM PHONE!. Possibly since its not authorized with ADB.
Ouh....DFU? I think this thing is totally bricked.
I can access my phone in ADB. If only I could make it reboot to edl or something like that through ADB even though my device shows as unauthorized. That is the only problem why this thing is completely messed up.. ADB works but I can't do anything with it because my phone shows unauthorized. Does anyone know if there's a workround or a bypass for that?

Nothing, you'll have to use my guide for that (the one that raystef linked). Otherwise try entering FTM mode (Power and Vol-) but it's surely not gonna work. If it does, you'll see a screen with a square that says "FTM", and you'll be able to do " adb reboot edl" and flash stuff from there.
Unbricking by disassembing the phone is the most reliable method; an EDL cable just might save you the hassle but it's not guaranteed to work; some phones won't accept it for some reason. In this case just follow the guide unless you want to try your luck with an EDL cable

Hello. Thank you for your advices, it is as I feared.
I have however already bought another Axon 7 which I'm using at the moment, and I have plans for mine since it was only bought new about 8 months ago and I believe I could get a replacement for a fee even if its bricked to fault of my own. So I will try that since I'm not in a rush.
This thread can be closed.

In that case you can just pretend that the phone got in that state by itself, it's not too morally correct but some people here pulled it off...
twice now i have gotten an axon 7 into this state. while mine have been a2017u models, i dont know that they are different than yours in that regard.
What worked for me the first time was letting the phone completely die. Being unable to boot into anything, it was somewhat a task to actually make it die, so i kept powering it on (which merely made the red led indicator come on). i did this over and over again over the course of a day at work whenever i noticed it had powered off.
eventually, the phone had no response at all. then, i plugged it up to my laptop, and left it, convinced i had killed it. a dialogue popped up after a minute or two on the phone screen saying to charge the phone by plugging it up. i had no access to fastboot or EDL mode prior. once i got that 'plug in to charge' screen, i switched it to the wall charger, and left it to charge a bit (50-60%) from that state, then, i unplugged it again, and somehow, i managed to get edl mode to work by unplugging it and pressing all three buttons and holding them (typical edl boot).
once there, i reflashed via MiFlash an earlier build. i rolled back using MiFlash as far back as i could. in the process, i lost my imei and serial, which i have yet to successfully recover, but i did get out of DFU pergatory. the imei thing seems to be caused by going back to MM which i did on both of my IMEI-less a2017u boards, but im only guessing. my dd axon 7 is the only one of the three boards with imei and serial, so maybe MM is a bad idea. lol.
The first time i recovered from DFU, i did it inadvertently by letting the phone die and then flashing in EDL mode as well. (i left it for a few weeks as i had given up on it.) after it died completely, and i plugged ut up to the computer and had the same experience, I flashed the beta oreo build for a2017 using miflash. the screen had stopped responding. and i ended up doing a RMA. I now know the screen response thing was bc of a faulty EDL file of B15. (happened again to another of my axon, so i retraced my steps and realized it was when i flashed b15 that it died) . the fix if your screen ever stops responding, but isnt physically damaged? re-flash via EDL a different file. it may take a few tries, but eventually a build will work. for me, it was Marshmallow. I still do not know for certain, but that possibly is what killed my IMEI. but hey, it boots and the screen works.
I genuinely hope posting my idiocy in toying with axon 7s has helped someone out there.

Hard Bricked 6T (No TWRP, OEM locked, MSM not working)

Hello dear community,
I've been playing with my 6t for a long time, hundreds of custom roms, kernels, etc..
Lastly I went to official oxygen 10. I tried to install twrp via fastboot but every time I tried to push the files, I would get a error. I reinstalled drivers, tried different ports, different tools..
I got mad and blindly followed some article where someone suggested putting "persist" in the fastboot command, I tried it, I thought it is some kind of "force push" the file and that is how I probably corrupted persist partition. DUMB
Phone not booting of course and I went to restore it with Msmdownload tool.
It did not fixed it.
I tried different versions of msm, I tried going to Hydrogen, tried different USB ports, tried type C ports, different PCs...
No luck, phone is stuck at bootloop, with no TWRP and bootlocked.
I read somewhere that Msmdownload tool is not flashing persist partition and I assume that is the reason why my phone can't be restored.
Fastboot commands are not working anymore and EDL mode is probably the only possible way to communicate with the device.
I live in Montenegro and I can't send phone to oneplus to repair it.
I searched the threads and noticed that some users with similar problem eventually succeed to restore the phone by flashing it with Msm multiple times. I am still trying to do it but no luck.
I would really appreciate help from dev mastermind.
Thank you!
If your bootloader is locked again, i think it is not possible to use Msn tool. I think the only way is to send it for repair if you can't boot the phone.
But maybe i'm wrong and someone else know the sollution.

Hi GeekMcLeod, That's right, I boot it in bootloader mode, select "turn off" just to be sure that phone is shut down. And then I hold volume up and volume down together and plug the cable so it goes in EDL mode. Windows recognize it just as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008, and that is all right I think.
Then I start MSMdownload tool and it flashes everything in around 200 seconds. I leave phone pluged in while it try to boots, but it never boot up. I left it for 45 minutes but still nothing...

Sounds like a driver problem to me. Try gathering a few (by Google, OnePlus, perhaps even Samsung) and keep trying different ones. I had to do this on my OnePlus One years ago. Then suddenly I found one that worked and I could revive it back from the dead. Not saying that it would work for you but it might. In my case it was a Qualcomm tool. If you still end up with nothing but dead ends today, I'd initiate a chat with OnePlus on this page (select your country at the bottom of the page first).

The only solution is to use smt mode inside msmdownloadtool, which will restore persist partition, but with some disadvantages.
Be aware that you WILL LOSE YOUR IMEIs and WIDEVINE L1, use it at your own risk.
If you decide to do it (remember you WILL LOSE YOUR IMEIs and WIDEVINE L1!) follow this:
1.- Run MSMDownloadTool.
2.- Click on Verify and wait till it says "MD5 Check OK!".
3.- Then click on SMT Mode.
4.- Then click on Start like you would normally do with upgrade mode.
5.- The you need to enter as password "te123" and select your phone's capacity.
6.- If it says something like "Port disabled by user", go to the top left corner and click on "SMT", "COM Setup" and check everything, then click on the left button, and retry steps 4-5.
7.- When the process finishes the phone won't reboot, so you'll need to hold VolumeUP+Power until it powers on, then wait around 5 minutes and your phone will be back to life!!
8.- If you have an IMEI backup, just follow this guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/guide-oneplus-6t-unlock-bootloader-t3851789) (I don't know if this is the correct way to post links)

Timmmmaaahh I am so glad to see you on my thread! I learned fundamentals of flashing on your guides back in Bacon days, and never bricked it even once! But this A/B partitions really gave me headaches....
It is highly likely that drivers are causing problem, I tried to flash it with msm tool on fresh windows where I let it to automatically download required drivers and the msm progress appear to be same as when I used drivers which are recommended by msmtool developer. I will try several more and will be back with results within few hours.

I recently got stuck in a weird bootloop thing with a, what i think was, corrupted boot.img. Try finding a stock android boot.img, boot to fastboot, and run the command fastboot flash boot <boot.img> on both partition A and B. If you can't find a stock boot.img, i managed to find one and can link to a download.
All right, here is the situation.
I finally managed to boot up the phone. amt911 gave working instructions on post #10. Thank you bro, you are awesome, and Thank you Tech_Savvy for confirming the method, you are badass who deletes partitions just for fun!
All right I got the phone booted up but as amt911 mentioned, I lost my IMEI numbers, without IMEI numbers you can't dial numbers, receive calls or use mobile data.
BACKUP IMEI NUMBERS FOLKS, you never know when the partitions will screw you over!
I was dumb one without backup and I had to contact Oneplus support for help. I was suprised how quickly I got into communications with one of the assistants.. in less than 10 seconds.
They ask you to do full reset via stock recovery and some other basic troubleshoots, after nothing, obviously, fix the missing IMEI they will arrange remote session to get your phone fixed.
You have to persist on remote session as some of assistants told me that I have to send the phone to repair.
Before they arrange session for you, you need to show them "proof of the purchase" ALSO KEEP THAT FOLKS I lost mine long time ago but luckily I found photo of invoice I took when I bought phone, phew*
I didnt have it at first when I contacted them and they say there is nothing they can do without a proof! DON'T STEAL PHONES FOLKS and then ask for support...
They will contact me for session within 48 hours and I will share the experience here.
Thank you again people!

Thank you JTVivian for helpful suggestion, but that method would not work. When your bootloader is locked, fastboot commands are useless, you can't flash anything.
