Settings crashes / Uninstalling App runs reboot - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi! I hope that someone could help me.
First some informations:
I have a Huawei P9 Lite, running B370 (VNS-L31C432) + patched SuperSU root + unlocked bootloader.
My Problems:
-If I try to open developer settings, security settings, ... I always get message that settings will be closed. I don't know how long this problem exist, because last time I tried to open was 2 weeks ago.
-If I try to uninstall apps, my phone starts a reboot. But not a normal reboot. It shows me boot animation and after it I am on desktop again, without beeing asked for sim pin again. I think it will be called "Fast reboot", right? But problem is, that App is still installed.
Would be nice if someone could help me, to fix these problems.
Greetings and sorry for bad English!

Root and Lucky Patcher Problems

Hello, I have a Note 3 SM-N9005 LTE Hong Kong rooted via Kingoroot application for PC. Now the problem that I am facing is regarding Lucky Patcher application, don't know the problem is due to root done by Kingoroot or it is something else, thats why I need help, and yes informing this before hand that I have latest busybox installed and yes tried the new and the old versions of Lucky Patcher too and the root is working perfectly for other applications, problem remains as it is. When I open Lucky Patcher and click on any application and then on available patches a loading circle comes up and then it gets stuck, I then have to press the back key and the circle gets disappeared and then the options come up (don't know how), then when I apply the updates (after selecting relevant updates for the application) it then gets stuck on this "get data from root", and finally I have to close the application, I tried searching on google and some others also have the same problem but no solution for it, if you check the Update Log of Lucky Patcher in their 4.8.8 version they FIXED this problem indicating that "Try fix freeze get data from root for some devices with proxy enabled". Still the fix does not work for me, now I don't know what is the problem as I have tried the latest and also the old version of the application. I think it has some relation to root done by Kingoroot, because I previously rooted Note 2 and it was working perfectly with Lucky Patcher but I rooted Note 3 with Kingoroot so I think maybe this is the problem, I would really appreciate some good possible solutions if someone has to offer.
Thanks.

If you want to use a app, pay for it instead of stealing from developers using Lucky Patcher.

Asus Zenfone 6 setting missing/won't open

Hi everyone,
Situation: I rooted my zenfone 6 yesterday. Rooting was successful. Feeling happy, I uninstalled useless apps that came pre installed on the device. Unbeknownst to me, I also removed system setting by uninstalling the system icon. Now, whenever I tap the system icon it won't open. Nothing happens. In fact, Superuser prompts update but it always failed each time. Root Checker tells the device is not rooted properly.
Would really appreciate help to solve this issue and sorry for bad English.

Xposed install guide

Hi all,
First off, backup everything and you do this at your own risk!
Okay, so you'll need a unlocked bootloader, twrp recovery and a rooted system with supersu installed.
Download the following
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3383776&d=1435601440
http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm64/xposed-v83-sdk23-arm64.zip
Install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk
Open SuperSU and leave it running in the background. Open Xposed app, click on framework and select soft reboot. You should now get a popup from SuperSU requesting access from the xposed app.
After reboot, browse to the following location. / system / EMUI / base / prop , open the local.prop file and locate the line "ro.config.hwtheme = 1". Once you have located the line, change from 1 to 0. Save the file and reboot to twrp recovery.
Install the xposed-v83-sdk23-arm64.zip, once installed click on wipe Dalvik cache.
Reboot and test.
The first reboot after the install can take up to 10 mins, don't panic its normal!
You can update to the latest version of xposed-v85-sdk23-arm64.zip after this, but for whatever reason v85 doesn't work when installing first.
Cheers,
Paul
Hi,
Thx for this!
I've a question: is it possible to use Xposed but to have possibility to change theme?
Because with "ro.config.hwtheme = 0" the theme app is down (normal i think) but the theme is ..... not very pretty :/
Thanks, sorry for my english!
Do v83 have some serious bugs or its ok to use?!

Ok
The setting does not work intermittently, won't load, tried on two Honor 5c so far, latest version as well as xposed-v85.1-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160530.zip - a reboot fixes but may be other issues as only had the phone for a week or so. Any solution?
There is no need to disable Huawei Theme Engine. Just flash Xposed v86 (or any version later than 86) and you're good to go. No build.prop and local.prop edits needed.

I had exactly the same problem, and to make it even worst I was having crashes when trying to call someone and also unable to receive calls. Sometimes a reboot would fix the situation but then it was back again. Are you facing the same problems with newer versions of xposed?
@Liffeyman Could you update the thread to the most recent xposed and installer? And also the change of the value inside the file is not needed anymore. Check this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-workaround-running-xposed-t3338765/
Mike_Wasawsky, didn't notice any other issues but settings won't launch - it was also the case with p9 lite. However, I am currently using Xposed framework 86.1 (custom build by wanam / 20160904) on build NEM-L51C432B120 and settings works most of the time if not all the time (I think I had to reboot once, not sure whether it was p9 Lite or 5c). Same version is also on a p9 lite and working OK. I would advise you to use latest Wanam build.

Thank you very much. I tried it anyway and I'm having the same issues.
I've been exploring this situation and realised that the problem wasn't specifically Xposed, but some of the modules.
I always use Youtube background, Youtube adAway and xInternalSD. Only installing youtube background it goes fine, but when I activate one of the others or both of them the problem starts again, randomly crashes settings and I can not make or receive calls, because the call app crashes too. :/
Why dint u tried from official site of rovo

Yotaphone 2 virus/trojan

Hi everybody,
I bought Yotaphone2 on TinyDeal in two weeks ago. Yesterday, somehow I got virus/trojan. I have install all my app from Play store, not from any different sources. Didn't upgrade Android (it was 4.4) or root phone. I tried to stop and uninstall virus but I can't :crying:
First tried to reset to factory data but with no success. After that I tried recovery mode but it can't do anything, said something like E:\ is missing and after that I can't reboot it with recovery command - reboot system. Somehow I success to switch it off and turn it on again and there's nothing happened - same thing, got little hand on top of the screen, a lot of new stuff in app drawer :crying::crying::crying:
Can I somehow repair that so I can get working phone back? Can someone give me advice how to reflash it and how to make phone more secure? Thanks in advance!!:good:

PIN problem and Security Settings crash

Goodmorning everyone,
I am desperate. I have rooted on my Huawei P9 Lite device by following the guide for Android 7 with EMUI 5. Initially it seemed to have gone smoothly. Not without difficulty I unblocked the bootloader, installed the TWRP, the kernel and the SuperUser application.
However after installing the Elite Kernel for P9 Lite All Variants CxxB3xx With MagiskSU v10.1 by HassanMirza01, I did not accept the PIN when I restarted the device despite being the right one, preventing me from entering and doing any kind of operation. I did a search on the internet and learned to be a fairly frequent thing, so I deleted with TWRP the files "gatekeeper.password.key", "gatekeeper.pattern.key", "locksettings.db", "locksettings.db-shm", "locksettings.db-wal" from /data/system as indicated.
Indeed, I rebooted my device again and I did not ask for any PIN, so I could use the device, but when I set up a new PIN, it does not allow me to. If I try to register one, after entering the PIN for the second time as confirmation, it hangs for a few seconds and goes back to the screen lock selection still set to "None".
Same thing if I try to set the fingerprint: first asks me to create the PIN and then stays impaled at the same point.
Also from "Settings" if I try to go to "Advanced" ---> "Security" the app crashes. Same speech if I try to access the "Developer Options".
Please help me solve this problem without having to do another Factory Reset because I can no longer lose all the data again.
Many thanks in advance!
