[Q] Anyone have two tablets?

I have had a flyer 7" tablet for about a month now and I really enjoy it's portability, and handwriting for work. I also picked up a GT 10.1 over the weekend. I am really impressed with the GT, but the lack of portability and lack of handwriting makes it a lessor choice for work. I am considering keeping the 10.1 for home browsing and the flyer for work. I was just curious if anyone else has two tablets.
i've got 5 ATM, and may be down to 4 after this weekend.
the gt10.1 is my general use tablet.
ipad - also general use and for gaming.
archos 101 - media player/carputer. crappy screen but plays just about anything. i was hoping to replace it with a tegra2, but tegra2 is can't handle mkv's and highprofile hd very well.
galaxy tab 7 - ebook reader - that's about all it's for.
transformer - general use, but may go back as the galaxy tab offers more of what i want from a tablet. plus qc on the transformer is pretty bad; this is my 3rd unit.
I have GT 10.1 & 7" Nook Color. The 7" format is better for portability and reading books. I have thought about upgrading the Nook Color to the Flyer. I also have an HP TM2t Windows 7 tablet for when I actually want to produce/create something. It is a 12.1" format. I can run Photoshop and Lightroom on it ... two big apps for me.
I own the Blackberry Playbook and the Samsung 10.1.
I had the Motorola Xoom and now the 10.1. I gave the Xoom to my dad for fathers day so now I'm back down to just one.
I still have 2 galaxy tab 10.1 units lol (locked white 16gb from launch, and unlocked metallic gray 32gb) and the new nook simple touch
Ipad 1 and my Galaxy 10.1
I use the iPad for web browsing since my tab likes to randomly crash
really hope some of these bugs get sorted out
have a few
ipad2 3g 32gb
galaxy tab 10.1 32gb
playbook 16gb
nook color with cm7 (gingerbread)
I used to have the zoom, gave it to a coworker. I have the ipad1, and 2. I also have the gt7", and the Asus eee slate. The slate is used for work, and by far my favorite. The gt 10.1 is in second place. My original ipad is now soley a gaming and Netflix device for my children. The ipad2 is my wife's primary device for everything. I did not like the zoom in my hand plus I had a lot of fc's; a problem that I believe now corrected. The gt7" is now not used as I prefer my Sony e-reader for reading. I love the size and weight of this new galaxy tab. It will be my primary browsing and messaging device sitting around the house, and once Netflix is available... my watching anime in bed device.

if you're looking for something like the flyer except bigger...there's a rumor that htc is announcing the 10 in. htc puccini on june 27th. google it forsure.
Received retail Galaxy 10.1, 16gb yesterday from Frys. Officially with 2 tablets now together with Galaxy 7". Unlocked, time to root.
I have the original 7" GT and a 10.1 GT. I go back and forth. Using either for most any task. The 10" is faster to WiFi connect but throughput is the same. I love Pulse on the 10.1 but TV.com is better on the 7" (does not play well with Honeycomb). The 10.1 is my choice when sitting up but the 7" is better while reading in bed. The 10.1 is much faster downloading movies from my Vulkano. I guess there's no 802.1n on the 7"
I had a nook color for a cpl months knew I was in love with honeycomb but not the nook. Also have had a 7" in gtab. I just added a gtab 10.1 and love it. Looking into acer's win 7 version of the iconia for my wife she needs win apps for work.

[Help Buying] Tablet for Gaming : Archos 101 or Galaxy Tab Wifi or ViewSonic GTab

Hello,
I know this question is asked hundred times and answered thousand times, but i am not getting a clear idea on this and also i didnt find points that i am looking for discussed any where, So here it goes.
I am from india and with a budget of under 20K. I am a gamer and also a Artist developing (trying to develop games for Android.).
so basically i am looking for a tablet which can satisfy my Gaming and Game development.
So my points with Importance.
1. Gaming.
2. Future proof.
2. Video Playback and Music.
3. Connectivity (external devices like TV etc.)
4. Price - 20K.
So can anyone suggest me and help me out with this, and Help guidance with India's point of view / keeping india (availability, support etc ) in mind would be great....
Thank You..
id go with the galaxy tab, you tube works great for showing games on devices. gameloft has alot of hd games out for galaxy tab plus ones on the market, plus the humming bird processor helps lol... id check craigslist.com... also i seen xoom tablets for pretty cheap on craigslist too i seen them as low as 200$ good condition that has honeycomb with the 10in screen n dual core... but im not really sure about the other tablets you mentioned i own a sprint galaxy tab and love it, you can root it and play tegra 2 games on it with a app called chainfire3d found on android market hope this helps.....
also picture is pretty clear has dvd quality player built in and sound is pretty good as well... plus it has built in effects like 5.1ch and so on
The new archos 10.1 16gb g9. It has 1.5 dual core and the same gpu as galaxy tab. Bigger screen and higher resolution.
the galaxy tab wifi has worse graphics than the 3g one

Which Galaxy Tab should I buy?

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying me a Galaxy Tab, but I have no idea which one because I'm new to the Tab-thing. For now I have a Galaxy S Plus.
In some tests I read, that the Tab 2 is worse than the Tab 1, that's why I'm asking for your opinions.
For me important is:
- Wifi + 3G
- Browsing / Communitys
- Android 4 (with a custom rom)
- watching movies
- microSD / SD Slot
Any ideas on which one I should buy? The first or the Tab 2? What's the difference between 10.1 and 10.1N? Just the wifi-n connection?
Big thanks in advance
Bruzzler
Look for a comparison video on youtube so you get a clear picture of what you may be buying
For watching movies, I'd actually recommend the 10.1. I also find it to be very handy when working on Polaris Office and the like - it may be a bit "bulky" but with a nice Samsung Book Cover case (or something similar) it's quite comfortable.
I used to support the tab so much cause loved my device, but to be honest I do not think I can trust Sammy again not unless they change their software support policy.
Also the traffic in this stream of xda is slowing right down so devs are moving away to other devices. ...
Advice spend your money on different device

[Q] Galaxy Tab2 vs Nexus 7

Hello XDA!
I want to buy a tablet and I'm a little undecided
Have to choose between Galaxy Tab2 7.0 and Nexus 7.
I choose Nexus 7 because it has a good processor, better screen (this will test soon) and will last a few years .. no lag quad core Tegra 3!
For me, a tablet is for:
games
watching movies
and sometimes a device that can read a book (and some browsing on the Internet)
Am I able to buy a USB OTG, now I wi-fi and surprise surprise .. can buy a 32 GB version!
Till now I have memory problems at all, and a USB OTG can do whatever I want! I could only make games and gaming tablet and stick to put some movies!
Samsung tab2 would buy it just because I heard it's good, I like the design, material .. but do not know the difference between the two screens (I did not see Nexus 7 in my city).
Have principal camera and you can increase the memory because is equipped with a slot for SD.
Until now, my financial possibilities and "little tool" (USB OTG) differences between the two would be:
Galaxy tab2 has the principal camera
And do not know what is quality material (which does not interest me so much) and has a better screen, I want to say this in terms of color (they are alive, even deleted?)
Thanks in advance, and excuse my English!
P.S. I want to know if there was an important aspect of the Nexus 7 for which I would want to take it! Mean if a tablet is bad or not so good compared to Galaxy tab2!
Thank you.
My Wife has the the Sam Gal Tab2 7.0 - nice BUT.......Asus have done a fantastic job with the Nexus 7. First thing is the screen - less resolution on the Tab2 - looks ok but the Nexus looks great - only down side is the Mem expansion- but really if you get a 16GB + OTG.
I have rooted both and they work well. I must say I am a geek (fussy) with these gadgets - and I love my Nexus 7 - sorry samsung.
Cheers

It's true that I can increase memory and USB OTG cable (to put a stick in it), connect the keyboard, mouse, joystick and connect a 3G modem?
Thanks!

All true afaik, though I haven't tried the 3g thing(there's a thread here that says it's working).
I read that 32GB N7 is going to be out soon so storage is not much of a problem now.

[Q] MLB At Bat App, MLB.TV Problems (video)

I have the MLB app for my Nexus 10 and the playback is horrendous. It is probably the most disappointing aspect so far as I am generally pretty happy with my N10. I checked the playback during Spring Training and it was pretty solid, now it is choppy, it skips, slows down, speeds up, extremely grainy.
Is anyone else having success with the App? I have a GS3 and it works perfectly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Negative. Same problems fast then slow video. Works great on pc and ps3 though

I'm having the same problem with MLB At Bat on my Nexus 10. The strange thing is that it works perfectly fine on my Galaxy Nexus, Roku 2 XD, and 2011 Samsung TV Smart Hub.
The playback speed is only a problem on the Nexus 10.
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
Yep, same here. I'm incredibly disappointed; not with the device but with the app. If I watch a game on my phone the video quality is fine, and if I watch video highlights of games through the app on my Nexus 10 they are fine as well. But live games are crap. I emailed the developer of the app and all I got was the standard reply (force stop, reboot, etc.). Obviously that did nothing. Subsequent emails have been ignored.
They posted a warning on your screen when you installed it that the Nexus 10 is not a tested and approved device for the 2013 MLB.TV App. The only currently approved tablets are:
MLB.TV Tablets Supported - North American Tablets Tested:
Acer Iconia Tab A200
Asus Transformer, Transformer Prime
Amazon Kindle Fire
Motorola Xoom, Xyboard 8.2
Sony Tablet S
More to come
It could be worse, the Nexus 10 could be on this list:
Devices that do NOT support Live TV and Archived games:
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7inch with HC (model GT-P6210)
Samsung Verizon Galaxy Tab 10.1 (model SCH-I905)
http://mlb.mlb.com/mobile/atbat/
So keep telling MLB.TV that you are using a Nexus 10 and maybe they will move it up the queue to be perfected. I only use mine when it is the only device I have available because of the stutters. On the bright side, the HDMI out is not blocked by the app (at this moment).
just bought the tablet today to realize how crappy mlbtv works on it.. might be a deal breaker
