[Q] Bricked P9-lite VNS-L21, no vendor, version and product partition - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

While rolling back from N to MM my phone started bootlooping. I was facing this problem few times so I thought I could fix it like always. But there is one problem. I'm unable to flash any rom from fastboot or recovery. The only recovery that works is Nougat Revolution Recovery. When I try to flash I get errors and info: failed to mount version / vendor / product. I wanted to wipe those partitions but they are gone....
Does anyone know what to do? I'm pretty much clueless now...

1st,wipe system, boot. extract update app with huawei update extractor. go to custom recovery, flash stock boot IMG and stock recovery IMG. Power off, use three button dload method, reboot, when booting press vol up for three second, now you are in e-recovery. Press shutdown. Press and hold power and vol up for stock recovery. Do factory reset. If need do the factory reset 2/3 times. Now you are with locked bootloader.

Same problem here i have huawei p9 lite vns l21 2gb ram
I have no os no vendor no product
Bootloader unlock
Fastboot worked
I have twrp v3.1.1. Of team open kirin edition
Last time i am at nougat b360 firmware
What should i do

I managed somehow to revert back to stock from these errors on VNS-L21:
1) download b360 stock from http://4pda.ru/forum/lofiversion/index.php?t806696-1680.html (consists of 2 files)
2) download HUAWEI Multi-Tool
3) extract 2 UPDATE.APP files from zip files of stock rom
4) extract image files from the large UPDATE.APP file by HUAWEI Multi-Tool -> Unbrick -> Launch Huawei Update Extractor
5) boot the phone into fastboot mode by power / vol - and connect the phone to PC
6) HUAWEI Multi-Tool -> Unbrick ... flash everything
7) copy the large UPDATE.APP file to SD\dload and reboot with power / vol + / vol - ... phone installs update
8) copy the small UPDATE.APP file to SD\dload and reboot with power / vol + / vol - ... phone installs update

[GUIDE] Downgrade EU H60-L04 : indian B810 to European B521

Okay, so I tried to downgrade my b810 indian to b521 european, tried many guides, but I always got the "system upgrade failed" error at 5%.
So here is my guide how could I successfully came out of the mess I made with b810.
This guide will not be very detailed, becauise if you have b810, you already know the basics.
NOTE:I do not guarantee that this will work for you. Other methods did not worked for me, so if You are in the same situation where i was, give it a try.
Step 0.
If you have a custom recovery (I had TWRP), you should first flash the stock "B805 (beta)" via Multi tool.
Step 1.:
Download this small transition package (~60kB)
unzip into sdcard/dload
settings/update/local update/update.app
phone restarts, update completes, reboot.
Step 2.:
Download this bigger transition package (~350MB)
unzip into sdcard/dload
settings/update/local update/update.app
phone restarts, update completes, reboot.
Step 3.:
Download Lollipop b521 EU firmware (~1.1GB)
unzip into sdcard/dload
settings/update/local update/update.app
phone restarts, update completes, reboot.
Step 4.:
Phone will be in bootloop, so while the phone shows "HONOR powered by Android" (or maybe it could load the animated HONOR logo) just press bravely the volume up + power buttons together until you get to the recovery.
Step 5:.
in the recovery menu do a cache wipe, and a factory reset
Step 6:.
reboot, and enjoy your EU lollipop!
Please hit Thanks if worked :good:

Hello. I have exactly the same problem. Huawei P8 GRA-L09 is activated and becomes the startup screen, or Android logo and the inscription on the bottom of the screen. Nothing works, no recovery or fastboot, (telephone connection via USB to your computer - no reaction, no wykywa it no ADB and Fastboot). Complete, the real brick. You can not even turn, stands on the home screen and the end.
My question is - if at all in such a situation, any chance to repair this phone? Of course, in a specialized workshop. I would like to know is if there is any chance?
Very please even one sentence on the subject of ordinary skill in the subject.
Thank you and best regards!
I accidentally wiped system partition before, but I managed to fix my phone by rebooting into fast boot (turn off your device, hold the volume up and volume down button and power button, when the device starts release the power button, you should now be on fastboot screen) and flashing system.img, boot.img and recovery.img from the update.app after unpacking it using Huawei update extractor, then I booted up normally but the UI was a bit weird so I downloaded latest marshmallow firmware from Huawei website and performed update via dialer method.

but how do you turn it off? when the power button is hold it reboots, it does not turn off?!
go to fastboot by pressing volume download and power or go to your twrp and reboot into bootloader
it will get to your bootloader aka fastboot and then just install system.img boot.img using fastboot
I tried that. More details are described here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p8/help/how-to-off-p8-gra-l09-stuck-boot-logo-t3630345
Try this:
Preparatory steps:
Format the Micro SD card (This operation is optional).
make sure that the Micro SD card is available with enough free space 4GB or more should be available.
make sure that the power of the battery is enough to run the Upgrade process. It is recommended that the power of the battery is more than 50%.
This operations will erase all user data. You should backup all important data on an external SD card
How To Fix Huawei P8 Stuck In A Boot Loop
Download Huawei P8 Firmware and extract this file
Copy the entire dload folder (with UPDATE.APP in it) to the root directory of the Micro SD card.
Make sure your handset is power off.
(If you can not turn off the phone and it constantly reboots, insert the prepared memory card as it is)
Insert the Micro SD card into the handset.
Press the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN key, and then press the POWER key to power on the phone and enter the Software Upgrade Mode.
When the progress bar stops, the phone will automatically power OFF.
Press POWER key to get the Device POWER ON.
P.S. Download Full Ota Update

Can't flash any recovery

I've unlocked the bootloader and flashed the Revolution Recovery B9, but I can't mount 'data' , so I modified the partition into F2FS and then formatted it. After that I couldn't enter to system, so I used three buttons to recovery the stock firmware. Now I can't reflash the TWRP and I can't add any goggle account.
What should I do?
Thanks before
What version p9 lite vns- ??
What do you want to install as firmware?
Info. If you wanted to be helped, helped too.
Hi,
have similar issue.
Bought P9Lite, originally on Vodafone UK/IE. VNS-L31C02B120.
Flashed B432 ROM which was OK, although changed to C900. Then I flashed something which was posted as UPDATE.APP. I thought it's an update, but then saw the size, was about 32MB. Since then it boots into Huawei eRecovery, which is uselless as it connect via Wi-Fi but does nothing. I can boot into fastboot/Recovery mode but thats it.
Tried flash Vodafone ROM but it stuck at 5%, no matter what I try to flash. The last when it booted still showed the Vodafone start up logo.
Any help appreciated...
Bootloader locked, no root.
1) Disconnect and power off.
2) Put a stock rom (UPDATE.APP) on SD card in folder dload and put it in the phone. If you have not, create folder "dload"
3) Hold down all 3 hardware buttons for cca. 10 second (Volume+ AND Volume- AND Power) until the phone enters EMUI system update mode and stars update from the SD card.
4) Phone will reboot and you have OS

Try download any ota update with firmware finder, extract the recovery.img from ota You have downloaded (You can extract it with Huawei extract tool), flash the extracted recovery with fastboot, put the update.app on dload folder in the Root of sdcard and flash it with the 3 keys method.
You will be able to successfully install the ota only if you extract recovery from ota You whant to install. Don't skip the extracting recovery step! If the ota install 100% and the phone stays again in bootloop, restart the phone into recovery mode (press the volume up + power key at the same time while the phone bootloops till will turn off and power up again, when the phone start up quickly release the keys) do a factory reset and wipe cache.

normally, erecovery should run parallel to twrp. when i use 3 button mode, erecovery starts. if i use vol+ & power button, twrp starts. maybe you release the 3 buttons to fast ? it take a very long time, starting erecovery. hold your 3 buttons 40 seconds! then u will normally enter EMUI install mode.
Use huawei update file extractor and extract stock eRecovery.img and recovery.img from donloaded update file(update. App)
Then u can use fastboot
Reboot to bootloader and flash erecovery an recovery partition using fastboot and stock extracted img files
Then go for dload method and success ?
I have to say after successfull flash, ur bootloader will be locked again (no data wipe)
