Huawei P9 Lite Official Lineage OS Support? - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi,
why do the Huawei P9 Lite don't get official Lineage OS Support?
I dont't mean METICULUS payed Version.
And no, i can't do it my self, I'm not a programmer, sorry, but I'm willing to donate! THX

Because it would need a very stable device tree that we don't have, a complete source code (Huawei often release broken source code). That's why usually official supported device has a Snapdragon CPU.

Huawei P8lite (ALE-L21) Kernel Sources???

Hi there, is there any chance we could see kernel sources for the Huawei P8lite ALE-L21 (International Kirin 620 variant) soon? I'm thinking of buying this phone and hoping to develop some custom roms (Like Cyanogenmod) for the P8lite and Im aware that the kernel sources are out for the ALE-L04 (US Snapdragon 615 variant). Its the lack of kernel sources that are putting me off buying this phone
Honor 4c source
I searched the whole internet but didn't find sourcecode or roms
i only found the sourcecode of honor 4c ( CHM-U01 ) it has almost the same specs .. the same chipset only diffrences in battery and in internal storage
if you can use it to build roms you can find it on huawei's site (EMUI download page)

Thanks but I would be very reluctant to use another phone's kernel sources for this phone because of the difference in sensors and partitions and the fact that the Honour 4C is still on 4.4.2 KitKat
TWRP
there's a custom recovery released for the device here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/testing-twrp-2-8-7-x-huawei-p8lite-qcom-t3187758

Its great to see TWRP for this device but without the kernel source, it will be nearly impossible to build CM from source unless you have amazingly good development skills, which I dont have.
Kernel sources are out!
http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=detail&mid=103
Sent from my ALE-L21 using XDA Free mobile app
is out now!

Sorry, got a Moto G (2015) in the end so unfortunately I can't build it for you

Nothing really to be sad about. Those chips never get kernel source.
So no custom roms for our little huawei p8 lite?

Cm14 when will be available for p9 lite

Hello guys
I just want to know when will cm14 will be available for p9 lite
:good:
CM13 is still being developed and you are asking about version 14. Read the damn forum before posting.
Once you port it, test it and release a ROM, easy as that
first we need a stable cm13 rom and after that we will need a developer for cm14, that will take more than a year...
Depends on how fast you can learn to port a ROM and make it happen is my guess

Kernel source code

Hi, where can I find the Redmi Pro MTK official china kernel source code? Thanks
The source code isn't released yet maybe it will never be released. But the mediatek Helio x20 (mt6797) source is by Vernee Apollo lite.
