Any way to access the quickmemo+ from a computer? - LG G6 Questions and Answers

I like the app a little more than I like Google Keep but I'd like to access it on other devices, specially on a PC. Does anyone know if there is a way? I couldn't find anything when I googled it

can you access it from Google? I found a setting to link it to the google account. I haven't looked to see if it syncs to the Google notepad or whatever it's called. Is Google Keep the notepad/memo app?

Google keep is a memo app but it doesn't sync with LG's quickmemo... My guess is Quickmemo's Google sync is to back it up

Removing blur "account", not UI

Anyway to remove the blur "account" page. I see that if I change sims it forces me to login to the existing blur account. What if I want to completely de-blur the phone? Is that possible? Or not because motorola says so?
Not possible. No way to replace with stock accounts.
I am having many problems with these built in accounts. I was having problems with YouTube until I realized that I needed to login with the actual YouTube credentials and not the gmail ones.
I am now having similar problems with picasa, but as I am new to picasa, I don't know what my other logins would be other than my gmail ones. Basically every time I try to upload multiple photos from the gallery folder on the phone, it returns a message that says "failed to receive login information".

I was able to get YouTube working. Have any advice on picasa?

Ok more info on picasa. When I "quick upload" a single photo from the gallery they will go to picasa. Its only when I multi select photots and try to upload that it won't take. It still says "unable to retrieve user info" or something. Another note is that when the upload to picasa screen comes up, its not pulling my albums down from the picasa site, so I can tell right away that something isn't communicating the info.

Try installing Gallery 3D from the market. It's the stock gallery app. Much better.
Figured it all out. I HOPE many people end up finding this thread. I went through a lot to figure this out. The following fix will work for both Picasa and YouTube problems where the error pops up saying that login info could not be retrieved. The problem is that you can not use the same email address for motoblur as you do the rest of the logins. You MUST set your motoblur to another email address when setting the phone up, preferably a non-gmail address. Unfortuantely for those of us who already setup the phone, the only way to change the motoblur email address is to wipe the phone and set everything up again.
I can confirm that this is 100% working. Now... If you don't want to setup the phone from scratch I can show you work arounds.
For YouTube, if you go into the YouTube app, hit menu, go to "my channel" (make sure the phone is not in landscape when you do this) then look at the top right and click logout. Then log back in, instead of putting your gmail address you can enter your YouTube user name and password. This will allow you to upload videos directly from the UI and gallery to YouTube.
A work around for Picasa is to set Picasa as the option in the "quick upload" menu in Gallery. If you go to gallery and click menu, then settings, you can set Picasa as quick upload there. Then whenever you are looking at a photo you can click menu and select quick upload, it will then upload straight to Picasa. The only problem is that you can not select multiple pictures and upload at once to Picasa. You have to do the real fix mentioned above to send multiple pictures to Picasa at once.
I reccommend you all do the real fix while the phone is still new and not that hard to wipe and start over.
Apparently it is possible, NO IDEA how i did it though D:
now when i take sim cards out it doesn't ask for motoblur account. Some reason I also lost all my contacts, don't know if it was because I lost my motoblur account or if it was a coincidence?

Hmm I'm not sure that this is a good thing lol. Try your best to re add the motoblur account, preferably under a different email address. If it works, this will be the best fix.

clicking "add account" just gives me the option to link fb, myspace, twitter, etc. with motoblur, no option to add a motoblur account. And i didnt really lose EVERYTHING, just my contacts, I can just put them back in manually, its coo.

Wipe it and start from scratch using my method posted earlier, just make sure to NOT use a gmail address for the motoblur email.
Let us know how it goes. Good luck.

If you freeze items through TiBU this happens. You can remove the need for MotoBlur that way. But to go non-root there is no way to remove MotoBlur.
Also, I have no issues and I have MotoBlur on same email as everything else.

Are there any other stock apps I should check out that would be better than what I have on the phone right now? Thanks

You'd have to do more than installing it twice. It would have to be re-written.
Well yeah I know that. You can't install the same app twice with out modifications to it. Then It would have to use a diff.Db for the account info. This is my first time messing with an apk so I have no idea how to make this work

Titanium Backup (paid version only maybe?) has profiles to load different user data files for an app. You'd have to switch back and forth though. It would probably be easiest to try keeping a web browser logged into Google Voice your second account, setting the user agent to a desktop.
Or just use a second browser app only for this. You won't get instant notifications of incoming texts, but that's about all you can do for now. I don't see Google adding anything like this to the service, honestly.

i think the idea is to have the instant notifications. I too have been looking for a solution to this problem for some time. i use multiple voice lines for work, one for hiring/recruiting and one for customers that i tell them is my "personal cell"
i thought the best solution would be to have two voice apks installed but i'm not finding a way to do that.

Couldn't you just set up the separate account to forward to your phone account? You could also go into your GMail settings and set filters to forward all notifications to one account as well.
This would be much easier than hacking the apk...am I wrong?

How to edit Google contacts

How can edit contacts linked to my Google acct, because every time I link my gmail, I have all these repeated numbers so I was wondering is there a way to edit them permanently instead of doing it every time I flash a new rom?

Login to your GMAIL account contacts and edit from there. You can then force the phone to resync the account.

Either. If you edit on the phone (as long as you are signed into the same google account) they will change on your gmail. And vice versa. I find it easier to edit on a pc though.

Google doesnt sync WiFi passwords. Those are saved in the phone, not to your google account. You have to manually enter all WiFi passwords on the new phone.

It has always worked for me actually... no matter what phone or tablet, wifi passwords always synced... but with S5... it's like it does not even know me...
I'll add that the network names and passwords were there for me as well when I activated my account on the S5. I was actually kind of surprised to see it all there.
Looks like I'm one of the unlucky ones it didn't sync for. Anyone find a way to force a sync from Google or a 3rd party workaround? I'm trying to get passwords from a rooted VZW GNex to a rooted VZW S5. I already tried backing up the Wi-Fi access points on the GNex in TiBu and restoring them on the S5 but no go. Thanks in advance for any ideas anyone might have.

You can download Wi-Fi recovery from play store on both devices, on the one with all your Wi-Fi password hit export file then on the s5 you can import the file, then your all set.
I would *NOT* recommend using app for exporting WiFi data, mentioned above. Looking at the reviews many are saying that it doesn't work and is malware, which is actually feasible since it requires root. All the app is really doing is copying/pasting the /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf file. So instead of trusting a badly reviewed root-required app just get Root Browser and copy paste the file.

After a hard-long internet search I've discovered that there's an alternative way in which you can eventually recover the information from google's own servers since that's where your device (or past devices) backups/backed up your data. The following link is a guide to this option.
http://jftr.de/2014/01/fairphone-and-android-backups-to-the-google-cloud/
As a reminder, you're the only one responsible for any possible damages involved when "tinkering" with your phone. Adb and root are necessary, so please refrain yourself from continuing if you don't even know these words!
Cheers

Haven't tested on this device but should work. Over time I've just gotten used to Gmail to help my paranoia of any possible security measures being outdated now. Lol.
Which Email app are you referring to? I don't think there was a specific one for AOSP... If you hate using Gmail app for Google Mail try Inbox. It took a little getting used to but I can't use Gmail anymore on my desktop or phone.
Inbox is great.
I don't use Gmail. I want tho aosp email. The one that was posted above is the one I wanted, but it wants me to update it to Gmail.

Maybe try using an older version on the site. Uninstall first then downgrade (a few downgrade if needed) and see if it still does. Could be something they added in the app when they were moving away from AOSP originally. Otherwise you may be SOL.
I'll try it

I don't like the Gmail app either. I used Type App.
What's the difference between typeapp and bluemail? They look the same
I also hate Gmail for my work email. I've been using boxer by VMware. The company is reputable and I like the app so far. No limitations or paid features. It does everything I need and supports exchange with contact sync and push notifications which is what I needed specifically.
Nine
I use blackberry Hub app works great used it on my note 5 as-well.

Nine's the best!
I use Nine, as already mentioned, which is great because it can contain a work Office 365/Exchange administrator's access to control your phone, to just within the app. Nine also syncs calendars well, which I really like. I also really like AquaMail. Both apps do fine with Google, Outlook, Yahoo, IMAP, etc.

Is this better than Outlook for Android? Is there anything that will combine one nice email app into one, for both personal and work email? Gmail sucked for my work email as well. Been using Outlook for Android, which is fine, but a bit clunky.
