Wireless Charging confirmed in CANADA - LG G6 Questions and Answers

I've read some rumors that only the USA would have wireless charging, and that Canada would have neither the DAC, nor the wireless charging.
Just picked up my G6 from Rogers in Canada and threw it on a co-workers samsung charging pad, and it works.

Wireless charging
Hey sorry but how do you already have a G6? I thought the release date in Canada was on the 7th.

With the phone actually being released and available now, can someone please confirm wireless charging in Canada? Will most likely pick up a G6 but will be ordering an American version if the Canadian model doesn't support wireless.
Thanks

Would like to know too

I have a G6 from Telus. It supports wireless charging.

SGN3 Variants

I'm in debate right now if I should just get the Note 3 from my carrier, T-Mobile, or should I get the international LTE model N9005. The N9005 will support the '4G' but not lte as it doesn't have the US bands. But I'm okay with that. One thing I really want is wireless charging (qi). As I currently have the GN2 from T-Mobile they disabled the hardware for wireless charging so it renders it a pain to even try and get it working. If the T-Mobile model has the qi in tact then I'd just go with that and have lte functionality. But if it doesn't have qi I'd just get the international model.
What are your speculations and opinions? I haven't been able to find anything on the other models aside from the N9000/2/5 which are 3G (octa-core), dual sim, and LTE models, respectively. But carrier specific models have no details. All of which supposedly will support qi. But will the US variants and other carrier specific models cripple us once again by removing features shown (not promised) on the international models?
I'm not sure it's been confirmed either way that the international N3 will not support AT&T's LTE bands. See here for more information...
You better get it from T-mobile, as it will use a different radio than the International version that works on ATT
I too I'm waiting for the T-mobile version release
Well I know the LTE of the international model is not supported in the US as the on lot compatible band is 2100 which 1700 or 1900 is missing for T-Mobile and AT&T, respectively so I'm thinking about getting the T-Mobile if it does come with the qi in tact. Negri has the T-Mobile version for pre-order up for $689.50.
I don't see why wireless charging is so important since you won't have that while driving and charging or at work out in the open where someone could just walk by and take the phone it would only be a convince at home.

If you've ever used a bb bold you'd understand the convenience of just putting the phone in the charging pod. And it can be done in the dark! And how do you figure I don't have wireless charging in the car? Or at work? Just because you may not find it useful doesn't mean anyone else doesn't. Look at the forums and you'll see how popular the topic is.
By the way, bit the bullet and pre-ordered!
I am starting an Alcholics Anonymous type club for those who are trying to hold out for an unlocked special edition of the note 3, maybe a note 3 active or a flexible screen note 3, or maybe even a Google Edition Note 3. Must. Not. Click. Order.

[Q] What's the best LG G2 model?

I have a MyTouch 4G Slide, and unfortunately its time to move away from the keyboard. The LG G2 seems like the best phone for me right now.
However, I'm not under contract with any carrier. What's the best model of the LG G2? I would even pick up the international model if it has more benefits. I really want the Korean model but paying $800 is too much.
Is it true only the Verizon version has wireless charging? If I buy the Verizon version can I use it on Virgin Mobile? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Why even bother posting at all? Is your real life so miserable that you need to feed your internet ego?
I did search, any wireless charging threads are BEFORE the official release of the Sprint LG G2. Topics on the subject read that wireless charging is exclusive to the CDMA version of the phone but this is before Sprint got involved.
Searching for both "Virgin" and "Virgin Mobile" in the LG G2 forums did not produce any useful results. This isn't limited to XDA either searching Google produced similar inadequate results.
Has there ever been in the history of prepaid phones a virgin mobile phone that's compatible with their competitor Verizon?
Buy the D803 Canadian version if you want full compatibility with Virgin mobile.... and the phone is not selling for 800 I got it for 400 on kijiji

Like a Baws!
The benefit of getting a Verizon version is tgat it is factory unlocked and can work on most carriers in the US. The drawback is that it will probably be crippled. You can only get up to HSPA+ on GSM networks, it only supports one cellular frequency on Sprint plus you would have to convince them to add tge ESN to their network, and if it even works for Virgin, it'll probably be only one cellular frequency like on Sprint.
Someone earlier was right, get the Canadian or T-mobile version if you want a fully functioning phone. Wireless charging is not worth a crippled phone.
My apologies I was confused I see Virgin Mobile USA uses the Sprint network. My apologies. I've been on Tmobile/Simple mobile for the past 6-7 years I am not familiar at all with any other carrier GSM or otherwise. My bad.
I suppose I should rephrase if I buy the Sprint version is it safe to assume I can use it on Virgin Mobile?
I think I may just stick to GSM with SimpleMobile as I will most likely buy off contract. I'm just worried about ruining the USB port for charging which has happened to all of my phones!
I will check out the Canadian version thanks!

I know where you're coming from. I had no intention to buy the wireless charging, but the usb cable is hard to plug in. Funny, because every other cable other than the one that came with it, i have no trouble.

Wireless Qi on Korean version

Anyone with the Korean variant of the G2 can confirm whether or not this version has Qi Wireless charging capability?
Thanks.
A wireless charging-capable back cover sells for 55,000 won (about USD 50) in korea.
The back housing of Korean version of G2 can be changed while international variants' are not.

BB Priv Better Version for Tmo US ATT or VZ

I have an opportunity to snag a Priv that is either from AT&T or VZ for the same price. I have read that the VZ model fully works on Tmo US, but I wanted to ask if anyone knows if there is a better version between the two for use on Tmobile? I realize that the AT&T has a ton of bloatware but do not know much about the VZ model. I am mostly asking from a functional use if there is ant differnce from using an ATT model and VZ on Tmo. Hope my question makes sense. Any feedback and or personal experience would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.
Edit - can anyone tell me if the Verizon model on tmo can use wifi calling? I can't seem to find a solid answer looking online.
Look at the frequences in this list here for compatibility issues.
http://forums.crackberry.com/blackb...ry-priv-models-supported-frequencies-1043968/
AT&T version supports more frequencies in LTE, but no CDMA (Verizon)
Second, AFAIK the PRIV from AT&T has a wireless charging coil which is AT&T exclusive.
I heard Verizon sucks at keeping their phones uptodate and is slowing down updates, i can't confirm or deny this, as i have never been an verizon customer.
Wifi calling? No idea.
My opinion: go with the AT&T Version.

I ended up coming across a att model for $140 in like new condition. I do have an existing wireless charger i am hoping to use on this device.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Tmo versiĆ³n has wireless charging, also there is no bloat. It's visual Voice Mail, my tmo, and I don't remember ever having to disable anything else. Been using it since about launch.

Anyone using LG G6 Dubai version?

Guys! If anyone got Dubai G6. Please answer questions if possible:
Contents of Box like accessories
32 or 64 GB as LG don't mention that on box
Quad DAC or wireless charging.
Network Lte band support
Only thing I know is it is made in Korea.
Thanks in advance.
Assuming it's actually the UAE version, not an imported one, then it's H870s. It's 32GB with a Quad DAC and no wireless charging. Bands are B1,2,3,4,5,7,8,20. I'm not certain about the bands though.
