[MOD][THEME] Pixel Animated Navbars Blue Accent and Round Icons for [AOSP] - Nexus 5 Themes and Apps

Google Pixel Experience Theme MOD for AOSP ROM Santhosh M
Hi all,
I have seen most of the users are using AOSP Android 7.1.2_r27 of Santhosh M ROM. I have created a MOD for this ROM. If you want to enjoy the Pixel Experience Blue Accent color and Round Icons you can flash this file using the TWRP recovery.
I have just modded Round icons and Blue Accent color. I am working on Pixel Animated Navigation Bar. I will soon complete the work and come up with the new zip files.
How to Install this Mod
Reboot your phone into Recovery
Click on Install button
Search for the Pixel_Experience_MOD_AOSP.zip in your directory
Flash it and then Reboot your Phone
Clear your default launcher data.
What is inside this Mod?
- Pixel Round Icons
- Pixel Blue Accent
- Round Icons for Settings and Downloads
- Pixel Animated Navigation Bar. (Thanks to @Sashko98)
If the mod is not working or any issues comment below for an update

Yeah, I don't have all round icons either, but I guess that is because the app itself don't have a round icon.

Pixel Animated Nav Bars, Blue Accent and Round Icons [LineageOS]
Hi all,
I have seen many tutorials about the way we can enable the Round icons and the way to enable Blue Accent. I was using LineageOS. I thought to edit the framework and create a flashable file. You can flash the files using TWRP recovery.
I have just modded Round icons, Animated Navigation Bars and Blue Accent color of Pixel. We have tried our best to make it look like Pixel Phones. If any issues feel free to ask me.

I'm new to OP. Any guidance on Substratum?

I've just come from Dirty Unicorns and Pure Nexus on a 6P, and I've loved substratum for theming my phone. But... OOS would be legacy, I understand. Has anyone tried Subs on OP5, any recommendations? I've also seen a Magisk module for making legacy systemless. Anyone tried it? I don't feel like boot looping my new phone!
Also if I'm just rooted, can I install themes like swift black?
Don't use Substratum on OOS, rooted or not, I tried it and ended up having to restore the backup I'd made after it caused all sorts of complications, my advice? Wait for the custom roms to start appearing.

Thank you for saving me all sorts of trouble.
I tried "Navigate" to configure the navbar. Works without issues. But i wouldn't apply system wide themes. Like @djsubterrain said.
With root you can apply themes system wide that support OOS (I think only swift dark and black right now)
I did and it's working fine, full black apps and system.
If you're paranoid then you can just theme apps and use built in themer to make system black or white.
Does anyone tried ozone substratum?
im rooted and with sustratum working fine, im using swift black and inversion themes.

Yeah... I was always able to theme via substratum on all of my rooted devices, including oneplus 3 on stock.
The thing is, you generally, (lie 99% of the time) should not theme system ui or android system as that almost always results in a bootloop.
This is with the exclusion of themes specifically designed for oxygen os like k clock and swift dark
Sent from my Moto Z Play using XDA Labs
So I just need to be on stock rooted OP 5 with Subtranium installed to use Swift Dark on system ui?

Yes, that will do, I'm running that too. There is an option to enable OxygenOS 4 compatibility right under the logo. That will make sure that you have a compatible (a.k.a. none) SystemUI overlay

I'm running it right now, but i'm using it just for centered clock and to change the "4G" to "LTE" in the status bar.
No issues on my side so far.
Currently running OOS 4.5.1 with magisk v13 beta (96f8efc)

I use it for centered clock, QS Tiles 4 icons and Clear All (tasks) button on the left.
No problem so far.
I'm using Valerie as the main theme, and Big Blu to fill in things that Valerie doesn't do.
Also, Ozone for center clock and QS 5.
Fontio works with a .ttf file (or choose one of the provided fonts) if you use the flashable zip option - in the settings there's a place to create a restore zip, so do that first in case. Both files will be put on your internal memory in a Fontio folder.
edit: I forgot that the power menu doesn't work with this setup, so I made my own with Tasker/GMD.

Stock has the same substratum support as freedom Os... It's the legacy layers theming, so if you root stock, it will work the same way. Just install the substratum app from the store and try out. ?
fully working here, rooted with magisk and substratum is ok with theming everything, but yeah, like above, power menu doesn't work and if pressed it soft reboot phone... resolved installing material power menu

[WIP] [Mod] Black Themed Notification and tweaks

As substratum cannot theme the framework in nougat, I have done it for all of you buddies. This will work best with Black themes.
This thread is for those who are using Black themes(specially Substratum Themes) in their Stock ROMs.
I have modified the framework-res.apk and systemUI.apk to make the notification pannel completely black.
Hope you will like it.
Please don't share direct download links or use the apps in any other ways without my permission.
Installation Procedure:
Backup your /system/framework/framework-res.apk and /system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk.
Reboot to recovery(TWRP recommended) by pressing Volume Up+Power+Home button.
Install the downloaded zip one at a time (order doesn't matter).
Reboot to system.
Wait until it reboots.

This is kind of useless... If you apply High Contrast or High contrast 2 from Samsung themes the whole UI is black except notifications. For black notifications as well (and an ever sleeker notification bar look) you can install bodhisattva through apk and apply through samsung themes, then use the app called theme killer to permanently apply it and reboot. Literally 0 modding needed!

Nexus 5 with Andoird P experience [UPDATED]

Hi guys! Here is some guide how to get Android P appearance on our Nexus 5 devices.
You need to have:
1) Rootless Pixel 2 Launcher by paphonb
https://github.com/paphonb/PixelLauncherModV6/releases (download latest release)
better to install it like system app instead default launcher
2) Android P-ify module by paphonb
https://github.com/paphonb/AndroidP-ify/releases (download latest release)
It's a Xposed module, so firstly you have to install latest Xposed Framework V90-beta3 and Xposed Installer
3) Pi Light [substratum] by Christopher Kardas
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.HarshV23.PiLight (for Light theme)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.HarshV23.PiDark (for Dark theme)
BE CAREFUL! This Substratum theme has some the same features like in Android P-ify, so you have enable only two features!
You need to enable:
- Android System (select Large StatusBar (Essential Ph1)) see screenshoot
- System UI (select Rounded Corners) see screenshoot
4) Navigation Bar. I use SmartBar with custom icons of buttons.
Go to Settings -> Extentions-> Navigation -> Navigation Bar;
then select SmartBar in Navigation mode and go to SmartBar settings;
after enable Edit Mode and change icons of navigation buttons using attachments below.
Also I've set navbar height to 80%.
ic_sysbar_home_dark.png + ic_sysbar_action_dark.png (for Light theme accent)
ic_sysbar_home_light.png + ic_sysbar_action_light.png (for Dark theme accent)
5) Google Product Sans font.
Install Magisk Manager and open it. Download "Google Product Sans" module, install it and reboot device.
If you want the clock widget like this - follow the post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76743037&postcount=16
All of this actions I was doing on AOSP Extended ROM V5.5 (also works fine on 5.7)
but you can try it on any other Oreo 8.1 ROM
ENJOY IT! :fingers-crossed:

Just installed...very cool!!....thanks! Got any other themes?
so followed instructions but when i go into themes it say Trial for bleu note 9, click on, apply trial........unable to use free trial content show button shapes and buy says item not available, Yes I am on 8.1.0 and followed your directions
So?
Looks good without being too garish. Just one request, the grated background, how do we change that to pure black? It looks cheap, like it was enlarged or stretched out and sometimes it doesn't make some texts easy to read like a solid color.

To change it to black you have to delete in all asset apk background picture and change background color. Lot of work !
Now i'm on Pie . All old thems don't work on it.
I plan to make a pure black theme for Pie rom when we'll have update of tools to create themes.
As much as I love this theme...it affects my phone calls...it closes out the keypad when I make or accept a call and I can't reopen it.

ok so it's about trial breaker. i don't understand why it affects your phone and not others. I can't reproduce your issue.
Now i'm waiting tools to make themes for PIE.

I am Oreo 8.1.0 and I believe my Note has the Snapdragon.
What happened was.... I would make or receive a phone call...answer it and it would say that the theme stopped working and it would minimize my call screen to the status bar...and I wouldn't be able to open it...so if I needed to use the dial pad, I couldn't....I could only end the call.
I'm having the same issue snapdragon anyone find a fix yet? Great work on the theme btw best one so far
