disable the rear speaker while listening to music with headset

hi,
how can i disable the rear speaker while listening to music with headset.
because, if the phone rings or any phone notification apperars, the speaker becomes active. so the music playing on player on speaker with the notifications. this is very disturbing..
thanks in advance for your suggestions
you cant
thats not possible, simply because nokia has this feature on some N series where when headphones are connected the speaker will not ring only the headphones will sound, this bacomes a problem if you lose your phone in loud places and no one can hear it. also, the alarm doesnt sound.
you could always put your phone on vibrate!?!?
thanks your reply, but after call the notification sounds on speaker. is there a way to turn steaker off after call?
i solved my problem changing hkcu\\controlpanel\soundcategories\ring\speaker value to '0' and soft reset now When the headset is plugged, if the phone rings speaker dont active.

[Q] Ringtone volume while using headset

I am using stock ginger unrooted android and i am becoming more and more annoyed with minor problems it presents. I am really very surprised to encounter this kind of design flaws in htc device...
Now i am not sure if it's hardware or software limitation, but i discovered that ringtone volume for phones loudspeaker will be the same as for earphones one. This is stupid, as i have read peoples complaints about phones behaviour while listening music and phone suddenly ringing aloud, this might be uncomfortable, for example in the library or public transport. But with me it's even more stupid, because i keep my phone on vibration alert all the time - i don't need it to ring. So i keep it in my pocket, and listen to some tunes, and then i notice missed calls... no ringtone, music still plays... how stupid is this?
I gave a try to "audio concert", sound profile manager which adjusts phones loudness when it detects connection/disconnection of headphones jack, but at the very best i am left with having a phone ringing in my pocket when i use headphones...
Almost every dumbphone i used at least stopped ringing using built-in loud speaker when headset was connected, not to mention SE phones which played ringtone through earphones even when muted...
So to sum it up, does anyone know whether it is possible to disable loudspeaker and still have ringtone over headphones?
Or at least any good semi-solution?
thanks,

[Q] Mute bluetooth music on phone call

I'm having a strange problem that I'm trying to see if it's bluetooth stack or CM 10.1 related. When I'm sitting here at work listening to my bluetooth headphones (Jabra BT3030), anytime a phone call comes through, the headphones mute and the ringer AND the music I'm listening to start blaring out of the rear phone speaker. I have to reject the call, stop the music player, and then call the person back. The headphones I'm using also function as a handsfree headset, so, in theory, the phone ring, music, and all answer/deny functions should be handled by the headphones. They've certainly worked this way on every other Android phone I've owned, so I was just curious if this might be an oddity of the new BT stack on 4.2.1, a bug in CM 10.1, or even possibly a setting I'm missing that's causing me this issue. Anyway, when I call the person back, the headphones take on the role of handsfree headset just fine.
Thanks in advance!
I am experiencing the exact same issue on my Galaxy S3 using Moto S305 headphones and CM10.1. I've been searching all over for a solution to this problem and haven't had any luck.
I figured out how to stop the music player audio from coming out of my speaker when receiving a call while on bluetooth. If you turn your ringer volume up then it won't send the music from the player out the speaker phone. When you have the ringer set to vibrate only then it sends your music out the speaker. But I don't want ringer noise either, I just want it to vibrate. My solution was to take my favorite ringtone and insert 5 seconds of silence before it starts to ring. That way I have 5 seconds to either reject the call or answer it before it starts making noise.

Vibrate/Sound with headphones

Hi,
On my HTC M8 when I set it to vibrate, all speaker sounds are muted, when I plug in headphones, and listen to music, when I get a call, the ringtone will play through my headphones. Which is how I want it.
On S7 Edge when I set it to vibrate, all speaker sounds are muted, when I plug in headphones, and listen to music, when I get a call, the music stops and there is no ringtone, I never know am I getting a call or have I dropped from 4G/3G to GSM and spotify can't stream.
When I set it to soud, it plays the ringtone through the headphones but ALSO through the speaker, which makes no sense to me. Is there any way to change this behavior?

I've noted these matters. But I haven't come across a solution. Especially the last one. I don't know if Samsung considers it a bug or a feature. Ideally, if the headphones are plugged in, the phone speaker should not work in any way.
Thanks for the response! At least it is not a faulty headphone socket/phone then.
