Flashify Issue LG G3 D851 - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I have LG G3 D851 T-Mobile.
I was on 5.0.1 and wanted to install custom ROM and for this I needed to install custom recovery first so I used Flashify to install TWRP (twrp-3.1.0-0-d851.img) , installation works fine it says installation complete, but when I restart the phone it starts bootloop.
So I restored my phone back to stock (4.4.2), rooted and again repeat flashify process this time again the same issue of bootloop.
Can Anyone here help me in this matter.
Thanks

[Q/help] blisspop 3.5 from stock lollipop d802t

Hi all
Didn't want to post in the official devs thread so I thought here would be most appropriate
I fresh installed kdz for 5.02 on my Australian lg g2 d802T with root and twrp. All good.
I tried to install blisspop 3.5 using the instructions
Boot into twrp,
Install bootstack 802 from lg devs
Install ROM
Install gapps
However after all this I have endless boot logo for blisspop.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hmmm you flashed a d802 bootstack correct? Don't you need a special d802T modem? I get a bootloop when I use a d802 modem on my d806 (same device, similar but not identical modem).
I realised had to wipe system and data first. Whoops.
Lg g2 so complicated to flash compared to nexus 5

Backup restore on different phone but same model D802

Hello everyone,
I want to do a full backup with my LG G2 D802 Cloudy G2 2.2 ROM + All apps + Data - actually everyting and after restore it on another LG G2 D802, how to do it? Should I just uncheck EFS before making backup from first G2 and check the rest in TWRP? Is it safe? First phone is rooted and second one will be without root. Im using TWRP 2.8.5.0

How will you be able to restore the backup on the second phone without root? Then there is also the problem of flashing the required bootstack on the second.
OK sorry my mistake, second phone will be rooted as well.
So what then?
what bootstack is?

The G2 still has a locked bootloader ...... in order the flash roms a exploit had to be found ....... a bootstack is basically a folder which contains a mixture of files which contains these exploits to bypass the locked bootloader ....... for example both Cloudy G2 and Cloudy G3 ask for the KK bootstack although they are lollipop roms ....... When flashing roms to the G2 we have to be careful to select the correct bootstack (loki vs bumpted, kk vs lollipop) or your phone will be bricked.

LG G2 w/ no ROM installed. Got TWRP and Download Mode working

Hey.
So, I got Windows 10 and tried the *.KDZ method but it gives me the connection error and I couldn't find anything as to how to fix it, so I tried adb sideloader, it only allows me to install custom ROMs I guess? It doesn't work with .kdz files or something I guess.
So, I have TWRP installed, my download mode is working but someone tried to do a "hard reset" and wiped out the SO on TWRP, can anyone tell me what to do now please?
Thanks!
PS: I already got my stock .kdz downloaded from LGs official website.
Which model G2 do you have? Which version of android are you coming from and which did you try to flash? Which version of TWRP do you have and is it bumpted?

Hello, it's my sisters phone and it's a D805 from Brazil
She had a OPTIMUS G3 installed and I tried flashing with the D80530A .kdz that the LG website gave me. She's got the 2.8.3 release and I don't know whats bumpted but it's rooted and I got it to reinstall the OPTIMUS G3 (latest version) to it, but I still can't get it back to stock.
Thanks for the help.

Since you have TWRP you can try the method discussed in the link below ..... I recommend you upgrade your TWRP to 2.8.7.3 first though.

Problem installing TWRP on my G2 D802

Hello there!
So i just got an used G2 and i've been trying to install TWRP but i can't get it done.
I tried so many methods including AutoRec and all i get is an error when booting in recovery.
I've seen alot of topics about this but its all old from android 4.4 and i'm running stock 5.0.2.
Even on TWRP website there isn't an option for the D802 model.
Is there any way i can install a custom ROM on the phone? Any fix for that?
use blastagator's twrp... not the official one
search for "blastagator twrp bumped" on lg g2 forums...
although i saw that his download site is down atm... but there is a mirror on dorimanx server too
Thank you for your answer but i just manage to make it work.
Flashed stock KitKat 4.4.2 then followed the steps with the old guides.

Lineage OS 16 on LG G2 (d802t) installation problem

I have an old LG G2 device (LG D802T) LTE variant I tested to install Lineage OS 16 on it knowing, it supports only the LG D802 but I still try it and unfortunately it didn't work (good thing I made a backup) do you have any suggestion for me to install any custom rom for my device that could work?
Thanks

Problem solved!
Updated my TWRP by flashing the TWRP provided in blastgator
I can now flash the latest Lineage OS just fine.
Any chance you can explain this in more detail? I have the D802T (Australian variant) and haven’t had any success with getting LineageOS installed. Currently running the stock Lollipop build.
I can root the phone via the LG One Click Root tool. But after installing AutoRec for the D802, I can’t get into the OS anymore - it just cycles between the LG logo and “Security Error”.
I’m able to update the TWRP via the Blastigstor zip’s...but once I download the LineageOS nightly zips and try to flash them, they fail at the first step with an ERROR 7 message - unsure if this is because its looking for a D802 and my phone is a D802T.
Any suggestions?
