Unable to root Asus ZenPad 8.0!!! PLEASE HELP!! - Asus Zenpad 8.0 Questions & Answers

Hi guys.
About a month ago I realized that my device's usb port has a problem, PC shows this error "Usb device not recognized: The last usb device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and windows does not recognized it" when I connect my tablet via USB cable.
Anyway, it can not be repaired easily at the moment.
The stock rom is too laggy and i want to install Lineage OS 14 on it, but:
1. I haven't root access on my tablet
2. I haven't installed any custom recoveries yet
3. There is no way to connect my tablet to PC via USB
So i can't root my device with the following methods:
1. Flashing supersu.zip
2. Installing root app on the pc and root my device via usb
3. ADB and fastboot
Also apps like Kingroot that install on android devices does not supports devices running android 6.0.1.
I'm so confused, is there any other way to install custom recovery on my device with these conditions?
Can I flash supersu.zip with stock rom or with an app?
Can I rollback to lollipop and root device with kongroot? I also downloaded the firmware from asus official website.
Can I fastboot over bluetooth or wifi or any other wireless connections?
Please help me, it's so important to me!

problems with fastboot and adb for lenovo a3000 adb drivers installed

Hi I am Rupesh from India and I have lenovo a3000H and I am using it from past three years and I am bored with it and so I have downloaded cm 5.1.1 from your site.
I have tried a lot to root the device at first I have installed framaroot and after that I have installed superuser app which gave error as their is no su binary installed.
In order to unlock the bootloader I have installed android studio and USB drivers provided by the device vendor. When I connect the tab to Windows 8.1 system I am able to see an entry named lenovo a3000 under portable devices in device manager.
When I issue the command adb devices on command prompt of my pc I am able to see a serial number followed by the word device. When I issue the command adb reboot bootloader instead of entering into fastboot mode my tab is restarting itself after that when I issue the command fastboot devices I am unable to see no output.
Previously I have tried to backup my tab storage from PC using adb and my tab asked for confirmation but no backup was performed.
I think that fastboot is unable to detect the device.
I am unable to root my tab with using PC or without using PC.
Please suggest how to root my tab properly.
Regards,
Rupesh.
Before performing the above I have enabled USB debugging and became developer by tapping 7 times build number in about phone.

PC fastboot recognition issue

Today i tried to install a custom ROM update which caused a softbrick and now my device is stuck at the logo. I naturally decided to flash a stock rom in order to solve this. I went ahead and downloaded a MIUI 11 global stable one, next was rebooting into fastboot and connect it to my PC...
...When i rebooted my phone into fastboot, my PC didn't recognize the device at all. Device Manager says "USB Unknown Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)". I verified the USB port and cable works properly with another phone, i installed USB drivers and ADB/fastboot ones, still nothing.
Is there anything I'm missing? I'm not very adept at these topics, I previously flashed mine into a PE custom ROM purely by following tutorials mindlessly.
Try the app "Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools", this has the option to flash stock ROMs. The USB drivers that I have installed on my computer are "minimal ADB Fastboot 1.4.3".
You could also solve the problem with the tool "MiFlash Pro".

Bricked ZenFone Pro Max M1

Hi All,
My ZenFone Max Pro M1 is bricked and cannot be started apart from recovery mode. I used QFIL tool to install the recovery image from the following link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/asus-zenfone-max-pro-m1/how-to/unbrick-unbrick-hardbricked-max-pro-m1-t3829754
I am able to boot the phone with an image (Oreo 8.1.0) that cannot be used for general use. It seems like very vanilla image with some debugging tools.
I tried enabling the USB Debugging option to flash it with stock ROM. However, I was not able to find OEM unlock option in developer mode. I tried Asus official Boot Loader unlock tool but the same give an error "This device is not supported".
After flashing with the above ROM, my IMEI and Serial numbers are all 0.
If I try to enable the ADB recovery using Sideload, the PC doesn't detect the phone. I am sure all drivers are installed properly as the phone is properly detected in Fastboot. I can also see the phone listed in ADB mode after the UI is loaded in phone.
I also tried installing firmware using external memory but the phone says the external memory cannot be mounted.
Is there any way I can restore the stock firmware on my phone?
Thank you all in advance!

X720 stuck in TWRP recovery / LineAge installation / ADB Sideload not working

I hope someone in here can help me with the following problem:
I had an old Android version on my X720, which I wanted to update/install LineAge custom ROM with Android 10 on. Since the old Android was acting weird and USB debugging couldnt be enabled for some reason, I decided to wipe the System/Cache on it using TWRP recovery BECAUSE the device wasnt found on Windows 7 when plugging in via USB. Previously I installed ADB drivers and everything needed, but still Windows couldnt find the device and I was unable to move the Lineage ROM (plus GApps) to the device to be able to install it via TWRP. Anyway, now there is no OS installed and I can only boot into TWRP. I tried to ADB sideload the Lineage ROM via TWRP (via connected USB to my Notebook), but after typing "adb devices" and "adb sideload path...." etc. in Windows Terminal as Admin I always get "no devices found". So, when connecting the device to my Notebook, nothing is shown and the device doesnt appear under "Device Manager" and I think that's the main problem.
Does anyone have any solution or idea? Thanks a lot in advance!

Install TWRP without USB

I have a Mi 9T Global 6/128GB running stock MIUI 12.0.7 Global with bootloader already unlocked. However the USB port has gone bad and only works for charging.
Is there a way for me to install TWRP without a USB connection?
Everything I've done and observed:
USB debugging enabled
USB tethering option greyed out - no USB connection detected
Default USB action set to MTP does not help
It charges but no prompt for USB mode when connected
Phone does not show up on PC
No new device detected in device manager
No problematic device detected in device manager in any mode
No device detected through ADB in any mode
No device detected through fastboot in fastboot mode
No device detected in miflash tool regardles of phone in system or fastboot
No device detected in miunlock tool regardless of phone in system or fastboot
No detected USB device on which I can attempt a driver update
USB drivers verified updated
Tried on my desktop and laptop, with multiple cables and ports
OTG with another Android device does not work
I was using RR Android Q when I realized this issue. At that time I was using TWRP and even in recovery with everything mounted and MTP enabled, the phone was still not detected on PC. I flashed the latest stable MIUI zip hoping it would be fixed bit no bueno.
I want to get TWRP back to install a custom rom because I refuse to use MIUI.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
