Actual Redmi Note 4 PRO released - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Guides, News, & Discussion

It seems there is now an actual 'Pro' version of the Redmi Note 4 (MTK) available. I know many say they ordered or have the Note 4 Prime/Pro version, but its just the 64GB/3GB model. Now, strangely, this seems like that very same model with just an extra gig of ram. I would have been good to have seen a 64GB model of the Snapdragon based Note 4, as any Ive seen are 32GB which is fine really but obviously 64GB gives even more breathing space for apps/photos/etc.
Not sure if there are any other actual differences (like bands/frequencies) or if its just a ram bump. Still, I'm going to cling on to hope that they update us MTK users to Nougat at some point.

It also says that supports quick charge 2.0 - that's good news

[Q] Does a 32 GB Galaxy Note exist?

Hi all, first post
I seem to be getting conflicting information all over the web. Most sites list the specs as there being 16 and 32 GB variants for the Note.
Samsung's own site seems to indicate just one (16GB) model (can't link, first post)
Does anyone know for sure? If there is a 32 GB model, when/where is it due to be released (if not already).
Thanks!!
nat
I, for one, haven't seen a 32gb variant of the Note, and I've looked at a lot of places already. Now I'm not sure if a 32gb Note will ever be released. SGS2 never had a 32gb version.

thanks, most helpful!
anyone else have any insight?
Just mount an external 64GB SDXC card to /sdcard and you had the even better Galaxy Note 64GB version..
There is one on Handtec UK 'due in soon' - I tried to post the link but I'm too new. It's not cheap though!

[Q] Built-in Storage options

Can anyone confirm what the real; built-in storage options are? I have only seen 32GB until recently, which is annoying because I am after the 64GB version.
Then I see this (in Oz):
http://www.mobicity.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=Samsung+Galaxy+Note+3
Here they seem to offer 16 GB and 32 GB versions. They also offer a N9002 which appears to be a dual sim option, but no 4G. Is this maybe an import from Tokyo (my last Note was)?
What are all the 'real' options, does anyone know?
Confused of Mackay....
I have never seen a Samsung 64 gb version in any of its tablets or phones. It is like searching for Big Foot. I probably will have a better chance seeing Big Foot in real life.
OK, thanks. Maybe it was my poor memory (b'dm-tish), or a rogue preview I read.
64 Gb
I Don't know how legit it is, as it's the only one I've seen.

Very expensive, but at least it's been seen in the wild:fingers-crossed:
I'll be calling them tomorrow.
Don't know I'll actually buy at this price, but be interesting to see if it's true

[Q] N9005 16GB usable space?

Missus is thinking of getting a new Note 3. Problem is, in Hong Kong the official stock only has 16GB versions.
How much of that 16GB will go to the OS? You think it will be similar to the 16GB S4, so you only get about 9GB of usable space?
Also, another issue we've found. She presently has a Note 1. On the Note 1 it seems that she only has around 2GB for apps (internal space or something), and we have found this very restrictive. Will this be the same issue with the Note 3?
Thanks in advance.
We only are able to get 32gb in the northeastern USA. Who in the heck knows where anybody can get a 64gb version

The 2GB app restriction is only found on the Note 1, already gone since Note 2 and Note 3.
As for your 16GB Note 3 question, i think nobody can answer you as of now because Hong Kong is the only country getting 16GB variant, all other countries get minimum of 32GB.

Yep, it seems Taiwan and HK are the only countries who have the honour of the 16GB version. Price for them is set at around US$775.

Honour? We feel sad for them for getting the 16GB variant, nobody want a 16GB variant on a flagship device, its so yesterday and we are glad that 90% get 32GB.

I think you missed my sarcasm.
According to this review in Android Central http://m.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3-review the rom takes up about 7GB.

Where to buy 64GB N9005?

I'm in Australia and they don't sell the 64GB version of the Note 3 here.
I've been trying to find an online seller but all I ever see is N9005 with a 64GB card.
Currently I have an N7000 16GB + 64GB which is way too resrrictive. N7100 is a screen downgrade. And 32GB is not enough of a jump to warrant the money.
My N9005 will be matched with ZeroLemon battery and 128GB SD (or maybe 256GB full size with adapter if battery permits?)
But I can't find the 64GB phones! Help please

Only was on the Exynos octacore (non-LTE) version as far as I can tell.
Would adding a 128gb SD card do the job for you?
The 64GB version of the N9005 is a myth and doesn't really exist.
Or if it does (Samsung says so), nobody has managed to locate one. I'm not even sure they were ever actually build to begin with.

ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) 128GB version coming soon

And it keeps getting better and better.. I should have waited before buying my 32GB model.
