So i used Sokoban's twrp 3.0.2.0 which is in chinese (can be switched to eng thankfully) which worked. But, its for Honor 4c and that is kind of a problem.
When i tried to flash P8 Lite twrp it didnt work , it was like i didnt flash it at all.
What could it be that is causing this to happen ?

Hi,
I have a Huawei p9 lite from China, i have unlocked the bootloader.
I have installed TWRP but when i want to launch twrp i get a black screen and a blue notification light. The device has erecovery, and emuiu.
it is a huawei vns-al00.
I have downloaded a lot of TWRP Versions from chinese websites but none seem to work and that including threads here on XDA.
Kingroot, Kingoroot and all the others don't work either.
I just want to root the phone, help is appreciated.

I want to install TWRP and ROOT to my P10 Lite, I've already unlocked the bootloader.
But before that I wanted to backup Stock eRecovery, Recovery and EMUI 8.
Is there a way to do that? (I'm not good with code, I'm not a developer)
I managed to unlock the bootloader with Huawei Multi-Tool v8, But I couldn't do anything else. Can anyone guid me thru the necessery steps for installing TWRP and ROOT without bricking my phone?

I tried to unlock bootloader of my p9 lite
VNS-L31, android 7.0, stock emui 5.0.x
Got the code, unlocked, installed many twrps
to see wich was the best one to flash magisk 19.
All good, but everytime i did a magisk flash,
the phone didnt reboot properly.
(Got bootloop, sometimes got the reset phone screen entering a password {??} along with red errors in all twrps) im sure i did all correctly, this isnt the first time
I do a root on a smartphone... the point is:
I think that magisk is what causes these errors and
Forces me to hard reset the device to use it again (dload or huawey extractor)
i need magisk 19+ first because i need a systemless root, then i need many magisk modules
On my phone. Also tryed with custom rom based on
Emui 5.0.x through meticulus twrp 5.2, elite 3.1.1 twrp.
No way to install magisk without getting errors.

I have downloaded supersu zip and "flashed" it with TWRP. (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/root-supersu-2-81-emui-5-t3612258)
I rebooted P10 lite and start supersu app, it told my no ROOT.
The P10 lite is a Janpanse version WAS-LX2J at EMUI/Android 8.0.0.

I have a P8 lite who worked fine.
I' ve unlocked bootloader two years ago, installed twrp and nothing more.
A few days ago, I successfully installed lineageos 14.1, but as I had battery drain, I wanted to upgrade to android 8.0 aosp.
This is where troubles begin :
- I upated my twrp version, according to the xda thread.
- At this point, I lost recovery. I flashed with many recovery.img but I didn't achieved to reinstall twrp.
- Today, I wanted to came back to android 5 stock rom, by flashing boot.img and recovery.img (from stock rom), but this time, I'm stuck in fastboot mode.
So here, I need your help, please.
What should I do to solve this ?

ok, after flashing again recovery, it's finally fine.
Now I'm getting EMUI recovery.
I think I have now to install update.app, no ?
