Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 Owner's Thread - Other SmartWatches

I checked and seems like there is no thread for the new Tag Modular 45.
So creating this one as a placeholder, i think it might be time for the tag to get its own section on XDA, but that's not up to me
The new Tag Heuer modular 45 came out officially, and already up for sale.
I personally purchased the black ceramic with Gold Lugs, and am super excited to get it.
Since it is made in Switzerland, it takes 28 days to assemble and deliver. So while i am still waiting for mine, wondering if someone else purchased.
Some information:
The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 Launch in Switzerland

I just picked-up mine yesterday, Blue bezel, blue rubber strap in titanium. I was searching for a Forum section, and your post is the only one I came accross.

Finally got mine after waiting almost 3 weeks.
Ordered the black Ceramic with Gold Lugs.
Love the design, just wish the battery was bigger.
Android Wear 2.0 is pretty awesome as well.

I agree about the batt life, the owners experience Forum on Calibre11 has been helpful, check that for tips, I am getting the advertised 24-25 hours with WiFi, Bluetooth, etc, all on, seems like doing the batt calibration helps.

Cool, yeah, it would be great to get more than 24-25 hours, but really though, who in this day and age isn't going to have a battery pack or other power supply to hook up to, and can't just live with charging over night. I'm not a TAG homer by any means, there are undoubtedly some kinks with this watch, but from the looks of it, TAG seems pretty invested in the product line, and will likely keep up with the support. We'll see....

Just ordered one off ebay for 8 bucks and free shipping. Maybe it won't blow up my evo

get yourself a sbc kernel to charge it fully
So it won't fully charge without sbc?

I got the Acase extended battery with cover, paid 25 on Amazon. I like. I can last all day with it without charging.
Using my HTC Evo phone which I'm using Xda app to post
I received my $8 3500 mah battery like 2 weeks ago and I love it. It took a month and a half to get here straight from China though. I can now last a whole day with heavy use. I am ordering another one for just in case battery. Also I'm running mill frigid 4.5 with stock kernel.

You get what you paid for. An eight dollar battery from China.

Poor or not, if those china quality batteries light up like a phosphor fire or blow up like the laptops used to in your pocket or face, you gonna wish you didn't get them. I am guessing if it isn't a htc or sprint battery, it would very well void your warranty if something battery related goes wrong. You can't cover your ass very easy like ruu before having a tech look at it.
More power to ya though. I hope nothing bad happens because of the battery.

Honestly I have the $8 battery and it dint blow up on me. Now if it blew up on you than go ahead and inform us. But, if you didn't experience that and you are assuming it might because its cheap keep your comment to yourself. An official HTC or Sprint battery has a small chance of exploding too. Shoot you have a chance of slipping and dieing in your shower every morning you take a shower. Well assuming you bathe every morning.

Does this mean I have less of a chance of blowup because my 3500 battery cost $18?
I feel screwed. I paid $9.95. Six months ago. It's still going well.
First thing I do is check the cut off voltage on the battery.
If that works ( and they all have so far), then all's good.
BTW my son and a friend also use it ( and SBC), with no side affects.
Good luck with yours.

Your still screwed since you didn't pay $80 for a Seido. You should invest in a portable fire extinguisher. I bought one for $20 on eBay. Still waiting it to ship from Africa.
I have had an 1800 from china for a while with no probs at all I just wanted the 3500 because I'm a super heavy user. Ill let ya know how it turns out. Couldn't pass up the deal

That's great you found a deal on an extended capacity battery. I'm just saying my opinion that I hope nothing bad happens because of the eight dollar battery from china to you or your phone.
I work with and for Chinese and even they steer away from electronics made in china. What I read from that was even they don't trust something made in the country they are from.
What SBC kernel are you guys using with this battery? I have sense so please recommend me a kernel. Thanks.
btw, don't expect 2 or 3 days of use out of the 3500, I'm a super duper heavy user and I can still drain mine in a day, I think 6 hrs its least I've gotten

If you can run a test similar to other tests where others run a video and compare the amount of play time of a stock vs this battery thing that would be great.

Hmm. Picked up one to test it out
It probably isn't truly 1700mAh and probably won't be as good as OEM battery but we'll see
This will be cool if it works out but the price point is setting me off in the wrong direction. A future thanks for your effort is being placed now! Thanks
I assume that this battery fits under the stock cover?
I'm curious to see what the test results will be.

From what I've inferred from the info provided on facebook, I *believe* that the seller is actually the maufacturer. From the looks of it, it appears this is a startup company. The fact that his shop is in california makes a lot of sense (I just saw a news special on how there are manufacturing workshops people can rent time out in out there in order for entrepreneurs to get their business off the ground before investing in their own manufacturing equipment; kind of like how there are glass blowing centers open to the public). This could be one of those deals. If the OP (who purchased one) says the battery works well, I might just pick one up just to support the guy. We'll see.

The warranty is only good for complete failure. It is not guaranteed to be better than OEM although I really hope it is. Still waiting to see. Got cheap "1500" mAh batteries on Ebay that last only half as long as OEM.
Do you BONSAI?
The battery will be in by tmrw. I will calibrate and let it die down, then recharge fully and see how it lasts... I will be on Bonsai 4.1.1 200/1120. Although this rom hasn't given me the best battery life it will be a good indicator if the battery helps or not.
** Just received battery today. Will post results on wednesday.

Very nice. I would encourage you, though, to not let it die down (these li-ions don't like that). Id say bump charge it to full with phone off about 10 times (charge till blue light, unplug, plug, repeast 10 times) then boot in to cwm and reset batt stats then see how it lasts from there.

Looking forward to the results as well. Thanks!
Pending on your results I think I'm going to get the two batteries plus charger package the guy offers. Even if its only slightly better or equal to OEM, having that second battery won't hurt, specially for only 20 bucks for it all

i read somewhere that our batteries were non-memory type. meaning it didnt matter how you charged it. and bump charging does work but it could reduce charging cycles. im no expert. just what i read.

Battery extenders

I haven't felt the need to complain about my battery life since buying a battery extender for my Nexus S. I've never understood why people find it more necessary to have their phone paper thin but have to have this battery life anxiety. I don't get it. Guys do yourself a favour, get a battery extender.
Although I charge every day, I don't remember ever getting below 60 percent. Ya It's a little worse with 4.04 but still no problem at all with a battery extender. No worrying about what is running in background like bluetooth or whatever. Just using the phone the way I want. Stream musing when I want, watch tv when I have to kill some time etc.
They cost around $10 off ebay, no regrets, not much size difference unless you're into skin tight jeans....not that there's anything wrong with that
Just search for "nexus s extended battery" and you'll find plenty.
Ps. most are from china so be prepared to wait a month or more for it to come in.

[OFF-TOPIC] Galaxy SII Hangout Thread

Hi guys, I'm new to this part of the forum coming from a Desire S.
The Desire S forum was a really nice place to be, so I decided to set up an OFF-TOPIC thread. It turned out very well, and is a great place where I made friends and learned tips and advice for both my device and other things in life.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1611085
I would like to try it here. I hope this thread will also help to cut down the number of OT post in other threads. (as it has done it the Desire S forum)
Basically, this thread serves as a place for any discussion, for fellow GSII users to hangout! Feel free to talk about anything!
So let's go! How about we start by introducing ourselves?
Great lets get started
Great idea...Oly, good to to see you're up to your good work else where....let's hope this bunch appreciate it as much as I know we do/did.

hmmm. well, tbh, not that much high-end anymore. but mid-high,yes,yes indeed.
The only thing i cld complain really at this point is the screen (just resolution, not colours, viewing angles or anything else)
The gpu is still a beast, you can see that if Sammy choose to put same GPU in s3 which is high-end device.
CPU,very nice indeed, no need to talk about chipset anyway, its gonna hold well for solid ammount of time to come.
Anyway. Im 25yo Croatian male, nice to meet you all fellow XDA members.

So I'm usually not the guy that charges his phone overnight and takes it off the charger the next morning, cuz I get paranoid something is gonna happen.
Well I fell asleep last night while the phone was on the charger. When I picked up my phone this morning it was FREAKIN HOT (I mean hotter then it has ever gotten before) and the battery was drained pretty low.
Turned out that my AC adapter went defective overnight and fortunately I had a different AC handy to replace and troubleshoot.
Crazy thing is that everybody else I know charges their phone overnight too. IDK maybe it's just me *sigh* lol...

A quick question to you guys:
On average how much screen on like do you manage on your phone with around medium brightness?
I'm getting just over 3 hours, but I'm wondering if I should be getting more. My battery is 1 year old already, so it may have already lost its full capacity.
I'm also swaying between the Anker 1900mah and Official 2000mah. Ideally i'd like to keep the same battery cover.
Any thoughts?

Being using a Galaxy S2 for a year and I think is one of the best smartphones ever made. Even a year later remains one of the most powerful...and with CM10 I'm happier of having it...
I've read a lot of threads and discussions, and it's nice to read and write in a thread like this.
Thank you so much olyloh6696.

Zero Lemon 10,000mah case review (ongoing)

My case came in yesterday. I figured id start a review thread for it here. Ill update this as i use it more.
First impressions:
This thing is huge. (think vhs tape thick)
Phone fits well and seems secure
Case charged fast
While huge, its not to bad to hold.
I charged my phone to 100% and put the case on today. I screenshoted the time and date so i could remember exactly. I work 12-14 hour shifts and stream music all day to a bluetooth speaker. Ill update after work what my battery is . I normally get a full day off a regular charge so im hoping for 3+ days on this.
More pics
Even more
I would have purchased this case instead of the generic 6000m one I got had I seen your thread before. The case in your pictures seems less "aggressive" than it is in the website
It is very large, but its growing on me more and more. I dont see it as a daily driver, but camping, in my get home bag ect, its perfect
Why didn't they make use of that space next to the camera ? They could've reduced the overall size of the case a little.
I honestly dont know.
Just hit 20% so im using the case to charge now. Notification menus says cable charging so its not fast charging., But still going fast.
No offense, but that looks horrible. It's blocky, square and huge.
Why not shipping to EU/UK? I want to buy it.

Im on day 3 now. The case charge is empty. I stream music all day and. Run gps about 2 hours a day as well. While it is huge, it definitely has its place. Overall its a win for zerolemon.
How much SOT you've had so far ?
I average about 8-9 hours of sot a day. Mostly because some of my streaming is youtube at work too. This wont be my daily driver, but vacations, road trips and bad storm warnings it will definitely be nearby!
