[Opinion][Guide][Tweaks] My experience with android nought in Moto G 2014 (Ressurecti - G 2014 General

Hello guys.. So i have been using moto g 2014 model for a couple of months now and i have been absolutely liking this phone.. Here is my experience with different roms.. I have tried different roms like cyanogemod 13 and dirty unicorns etc in the marshmallow side and when lineage os 14.1 came out i just switched to it.. It was an awesome rom but i was missing a lot of features that i was getting through xposed and all.. So i started thinking of changing the rom.. And after a couple of hours of research i decided to go with Ressurection remix.. I was very happy with the performance and the battery backup of the rom and then i thought of custom kernel and flashed the deciphier kernel and is working absolutely fantastic with this rom.. The kernel helped me tune the phone the way i wanted and also improoved the performance as well as the battery backup.. I also made a small swap file in so that i can get a little bit more performance out of the phone.. I use Roehsoft ram expander and is working great.. Then also i have installed Substratum and also a theme named art.. Its also working fine for me.. The phone is working absolutely fantastic and without any major bugs... Though, feel free to tell me your suggestions about other roms and kernels as am interested in checking other roms and kernels.. Thankss..

Hey guys!I must say that i tried almost all the KK roms for S2,and i saw some incredible improvements.I think this Android unoficial update for our devices is the best thing that could happen to increase performance and the battery life.I got really impresive scores in quadrant. What do you think about this "KK" ?

you can try slimsaber 4.4.2 by FJ for me the most stable KK ROM.:good:
I'm on SlimSaber 4.4.2 01/13 with DorimanX kernel v62. Using extreme battery profile and i get like 3200 in quadrant.
anyone who tried resurrection/paranoidandroid/supernexus?
Slimsaber 4.4.2 is the best KK Rom for me. No issues and incredible Performance.

Resurrection Remix® 4.4.2 is pretty good. Smooth performance and good battery. ART also seems to be working well.
Any stable one with a .tar-file to flash in odin?
I'm on Cyanfox and also noticed significant performance improvement over Android 4.1.x. I didn't check quadrant or other benchmarks as user experience is what matters to me - and this is very good with KK version I'm running on.
On kk roms the phone got hot, charged slowly when I tried them previously. Does this still happen?

Pros: The most stable rom
Cons: I hate those Moto Apps, But then I've deleted them already
Which ROM you have use ? And What's condition is your ROM ?
I suggest to post a Benchmark, and Every tweak you use. Maybe battery stats could be helpfull. He is on the Stock ROM!

I've tried most of the roms, but always go back stock ROM. What bothers me this initial lag when starting the phone with most CM ROMs. Also the battery on my stock rom is the longest and with the new update to the 176 earshot is really great
So I inserted Nova launcher and customize it as much as I can
The other Rom I like most is AOSP + 4.2

legorom is beast!!
I have been using legorom since it was beta and let me tell you it has been rock solid. Great rom devs respond quickly to every question and its updated regularly. If you can live without theme engine (exposed mod/HK theme manager v7.0) you should definitely give this rom a shot you won't be disappointed. Check out the community in g+.

Do the other ROMs beside stock use F2FS file system? Or are they on EXT4? Does this affect performance?

Good morning
No doubt: Renovate oreo 9.2 (highly customizable...) or Batman nougat... Nice day
And hopefully soon there will be a fresh AOSP with working RIL :fingers-crossed:
If it's ready the best in Town will be probably Resurrection Remix OS for S8 based on Lineage OS for S8...
So there will be a future for this phone :good:
For me, I WILL NEVER USE ASOP, as it is boring!
I normally use Echoe Rom myself.

I saw some posting that the ROMs based on Lineage, have many defects, is this true?
I'm looking for a ROM, simple, that prolongs the maximum battery life, and free me permanently from RMM STATE. Well I was released from it, I installed .ZIP BlackMesa, but even so after reinstalling the ROM STOCK I received a new RMM STATE PRE NORMAL.

Which rom do you prefer?

Hello
I didn't try many roms on the 6t yet, just Havoc and Renovate.
While Havoc is fun and with many mods, I felt it was not as speedy and smooth as stock rom, I also had trouble with wifi not connecting automatically.
Now I am using Renovate which is a cool bunch of mods for stock rom but it's missing a more solid aod (no music control, no clock movements loop).
Which rom do you recommend, that is smooth, with plenty of mods and stable enough?
i always stick to stock rom.
I am also surprised to see no oos based rom with plenty of mods like transparent app drawer ir navigation bar colors.
Renovate is a very good start but because it's a mod pack/rom that is shared over several devices, there are no specific mods for oos.
Unfortunately the only fully working aod on 6t nowadays are aosp
AOSiP for me. I have tried almost all ROMs and AOSiP is the most stable with just the right amount of mods. I am very nicely settled now with a custom kernel and settings, swift themes. Got amazing battery life and super smooth performance
Currently using renovate, waiting for fingerprint to get fixed on AOSP and then I'll probably flash RR

Hey guys, I've put the Havoc-OS on my Mi 5s and even without social media and no SIM the phone has huge battery draw when inactive. I doesn't last a hole morning like that. Do you have any suggestions for ROM with good battery life?
Hard work bro. Thanks. I attached captures from my Havoc-OS 2.8. They are superors than yours but I don't understand my very low result in Geekbench. Havoc-OS has a very good user experience. I am waiting Android 10 roms for test it.
Amazing work.
I never changed to other rom with my Mi 5s, but after it I'm thinking serious to test Bliss Rom
