Yap!

I've been using for all today with using my Bluetooth headphones at work battery life seems very good still got 40% left after using it all day so seems decent. No problems here.

No negatives so far during my use. No crashes or bugs that I could find. Battery life the same.

When I installed the update, everything was great. Then I started having Bluetooth audio drops left and right every few minutes. Google Play Music showed that the song was still playing, but my receiver wasn't playing any audio. Just went back to 7.1.1 for now, unless someone has any idea on a quick fix..

I did a clean install of beta 2 and it appears to have fixed my BT turning off on its own with the latest 7.1.1. Seems pretty stable for me.

The Bluetooth issues were solved since beta 1 on 7.1.2.

Guys quick question. If I enroll my Pixel to this beta and install it. Then in the near future an update comes in, will the OTA's title make it easy for me to know if it is another beta or a public release?

Anyone have the OTA zip?

Maybe, I didn't run beta 1.

Were they able to include the gps fix with this release?

With this update my battery life rocks!
Google Play Services draws far less battery on my pixel.

Nope, it's fine here.
Check your apps, might be some app reducing your battery life and heating the device while running in the background.

OTA Update 2.4.1

OTA update has come 2.4.1 nd i am very happy that they are giving updates and solving the issues nd bugs..but... nvidia will give any android update ever or we are now stuck on 4.4.2! ?
Nvidia has stated in a e-mail that we will get 4.4.3 so don't worry

Thats great thn but they have stated when because now android 5.0 L has released
Android L is still in development and we haven't had 4.4.3 or even 4.4.4 so lets give Nvidia some time!
I'm glad That Nvidia is putting out all these updates. I really really want the battery fix thoug, hopefully that update comes fast.

Well what is the problem with battery ?? Im having no problem with it. It gived me 15 to 20 hours of battery life in battery saving mode with normal use no games .
I really hope we have a shot with Android L. I just bought this tablet, and seeing the Moto G will get the update suggests that 1GB of RAM should be sufficient to run the new OS.

The problem is I always end up having to charge it after about two to three hours of use, in balanced mode, most of the time just watching Youtube videos. I am almost certain that they advertised much more battery life. The other problem I have is the meter in the notification menu just stops working randomly and I have to restart the tablet to fix it. maybe a defect in my system alone, but annoying nonetheless.

To me its sounding like you have a defective unit mate.
I posted in a few places there is definitely a battery issue I only got about 4 hours playing a game and sending some mails. for a 4100mah it seems less or is it about right? the screen brightness was at 30%, gangstar vegas total play time was about 2hrs 40min and the rest was email on the native email app. balanced mode.

Darn. Its a good thing I still have time to return it. I love the thing but maybe I'll go with a nexus 7 2013 next ttime I buy, just because of stability. I've had a lot of bugs on this one. ?
I keep trying to apply the OTA but it errors out saying there is a problem with Email.apk. Anyone else seen this problem?

Okay, I don't think its a defective unit because I tried using it on power saving mode all day today with music and reading and its still above the 70% mark. I think the bug is that the balanced setting drains a lot of battery.

Glad to hear that helped, I'll try when mine is (hopefully) returned after touch screen issues. I was considering installing juice defender app, which works wonders for extending my phone battery life, but will try power saving mode first.

LRX21Q Improvements

So, I manually flashed the recent OTA. Felt like sharing what I have noticed.
For one thing, EVERYTHING is snappier. Going into recent apps is fast, home screen and apps don't take forever to load. That's a definite improvement. If it changes after running for awhile, I'll update.
Google Now's Always On voice recognition now works. I couldn't get it to work while away from the Google Now launcher before the update.
Uncertain about battery consumption with browsers yet. I'm hopeful, and the back of my tablet not being a toaster oven all the time while browsing on Xda gives me hope, but again, this is me just being hopeful.
Nothing for enabling the notification LED yet. Weird.

Thanks for the impressions. Hopefully the excessive power usage while using browser is fixed or will be soon.
I will note though that even though it shouldn't need to be used to avoid using Chrome, I think that using Tapatalk to browse XDA is a better experience. IMO, of course.

That heat is coming from the processor, that just means it's just under heavy load.
Sadly, WiFi 802.1x auth still doesn't work (PEAP) and the "Sign-in to Wifi network" screen is still blank for me. (Tested with Cisco Wireless LAN Controller at work.)

I've noticed the same thing. Basically the stutter and lags have pretty much been fixed. For those wondering the home screen refresh has also been fixed.
I've been testing battery life today in combination with the chrome beta browser. Where I used to get 4/5 hours of sot with a single charge I'm now at 4.15 minutes of sot with 52% of battery left.
The new update has done wonders for the n9 and it just shows how much lollipop is still in it's infancy and still needs some updates to get everything sorted out. I'm sure it's the same for the Nexus 6.

I think he is referring to the re-draw that seems to occur randomly when returning back to the home screen. Based on the impressions I may just flash the factory image to LRX21Q if these improvements are widespread. I still haven't received the OTA and can't sideload it because my tablet is still on the pre-release BL for some reason.

Was never a problem with my nexus 9. Working flawless.
It feels faster for sure, doesn't seem to get as hot either but maybe it does.
Yes I definitely see the improvement. I was one of the first buyers on the first day. But the unit I got has defected NFC chip. I returned it and got a replacement. Latest update definitely fixed the stutters and lags. I can vow for this.

Overheating and Screen Flickering
Do you think that the overheating issue near the camera and the issue where the screen is flickering when the device is not at full brightness, can be fixed by a software update or a firmware update?

Just a heads-up, this OTA provides a VERY significant performance improvement - there was a Kernel regression that they fixed on this build regarding memory cgroups. Its very noticeable while using the tablet with this new patch.
I haven't noticed a difference yet but I didn't do s full wipe when I flashed.

Battery drain from Google Photos latest version

Updated Google photos to version 2.2.0 from October 12. Now it drains half battery in half day even though I don't use the app or camera. Drain stops if I clear app data and don't use it.
Anyone else seeing it?

Instead of force close, delete all data and don't use it until they release a new version.
Or revert to old one.
Hopefully, there would be better solution but I didn't see people complain yet.

Didn't work for me.
I'm curious how Google Photos is draining your battery so fast. I pulled mine off the charger at 4PM this afternoon and 5 hrs later it was at 95%. I use Google Photos and have the latest version. It's not doing this to my S7E. Mine is the U version of the S7E but I doubt that matters.
Have the same problem with nexus 6p and Google photos battery drain. Gone back to previous version. Hope it fixes
I have the same problem, I had to uninstall the update, now the draining is gone. I hope Google fix the problem soon.
I didn't see many people complaining about this yesterday, now there are many complaints on different forums, so I guess is not just my s7e.

yep, battery drain gone for me after going back to the previous version.
Same issue, ZenFone 2 Laser. Reverting to v2.1.x resolved the issue with Photos.
Google released a new version of Photos, 2.2.1 and it seems the battery drain problem is gone. But now I can't find the option to backup only on Wi-Fi.

7.1.1 (December security update) live now

https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
It's official, pixel c is not a pixel device. No pixel features to be found
For me the downloaded OTA will not work to upgrade from the beta version. The ota has a time stamp of 4 november and the beta has a timestamp of 11 November . Running adb sideload "ota.zip" returns Error E3003: Can't install this package (<OTA timestamp>) over newer build (<beta timestamp>).
Edit: Refresh my memory. Is it the case that any reversion from beta to factory release requires a full install?
Is anyone else noticing severe battery drain after updating to NMF26H? I didn't have a problem with the developer preview releases but I lost 35% of my battery idling last night and just tested again and lost 15% in roughly for hours. Android OS, tablet idle and Android system seem to be the vaguely specified culprits.

Quite the opposite for me. Battery life seems better.
I'll keep my eyes open. Perhaps it was a one off. Also, I now seem to notice that "Cellular network signal" appears under the battery graph (always as a "red" no signal, obviously). Is this new? I don't recall seeing it there before given that the tablet has no cellular radio.

Nope
The culprit for battery drain seemed to be the TWC TV app (which I never even really use). Uninstalling it seemed to fix it.
I upgraded the system yesterday to 7.1.1 from 7.0 and night mode has disappeared, I have read in some places that the implementation of night mode has changed in a way that now requires driver support which is not present in this device.
Anybody knows a solution for this? Overlay apps like twilight are much worse that native night mode

Major Issue After May 5 Security Patch

*Battery drain very fast even screen off
*Slow charging again
*Low sound in speakers
*Camera quality poor
*Over heating also when not in use
*Sometimes screen shows black/white
*Apps still crash
How much you have issue from these??
I can feel that battery can be a bit worse, my battery drains more when I watch YouTube, but no overheating or slow charging. Everything except battery life is good for me.
Yes, battery draining is huge....

Well, I didn't want to update since they updated the bootloader and now I can see that was a good choice. In your case I'd flash back the april build since it's stable.
The the May update for version 8.0 cause a wipe after unlocking the boot loader? Or is that only happening on 8.1 beta update?
Can someone clearly confirm, please?
what the fook do beta testers do
simple bootloader unlock will wipe data too.
From what i read here it is beetter not to update but wait....
Luckily I can't relate any of below listed issues!

Yes, it's always better to wait patiently and observe, not rush into something without informing about it.
No issues here, in fact it's the best build released yet imo
For me it's better than April one.
Zero issues so far. I did a clean install a couple of months ago because clearing my GSF to get Oreo quicker (I know, I know ) led to some issues. Have been enjoying this phone twice as much since. The clean install made my phone a very stable device once more and I've had zero updates with this and previous update so far
I dont know what you guys do to your phone, really.. Last May update up and running without ant issues (stock 8.0)
I can´t notice any difference. Seems to be only a security patch.

Yup, Unlocking bootloader does wipe your data when in your May patch.
No issues here either, all running sweet as before.
Everything's fine for me. Let's not panic over one single report of issues.
To OP, I guess you've already tried to fully stop and restart the phone (not just hit restart button)? If this does not help, I know it's painful, but Hard Reset could solve your problem.
Last option is go to warranty to get it fixed.
