Yeah sony, I would love to build my own linux kernal. Anyway, the question is - Can someone explain to me how can this be useful ? Is it better than custom roms or is it the exact same thing? Does it give any advantages for xperia users? I know this isn't exacly the newest thing but I don't understand really, are you using this for building roms ?

Any information about GENERIC_US

I asked the same question here but now I am thinking of another thing and if you can help me I am grateful for that.
Which of you have Generic_US rom? Where you bought your x1i?
Which rom do u use to update rom,Generic_UK or Generic_NAM?
Mine is X1i but it has Original GENERIC_US rom.

Different resolution
I have found that the resolution of the Xperia Generic_US is not equal to Xperia Generic_SE.
I think it is not good until we get a proper explanation.
Do you have any idea?

LiGux (Possible port from hero...)

Just a quickie here, after stumbling on this android rom, with a somewhat nice looking UI. (Screenshots below). Its been released on the hero, meaning that me or someone else can take up the possibility of porting over/translating/bugfixing. Its based on CM7, much like MIUI and has some quite nifty features.
Screenshot of it running on the hero:

YS-M8 board rockchip rk3288 - Anything cool to do with that?

Hi!
In my job we recieved a bunch of android-motherboards that's been used in info-kiosks.
They're a crippled version of android 7.1, and i was wondering if its possible to install stock android or perhaps some lightweight linux distro on it?
I can connect with adb, but don't really know what to do next :-/
Any pointers in the right direction is much appreciated.
