Swipe to remove notifications - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

When I pull down to view the notifications thread and remove a notification by swiping right is there a way to make it stay gone without having to go to the actual app and view the notification? Unless I go to the app the same notification appears again.

Does it appear immediately or after some time?
Some apps do have a repeat notifications function.

[Q] Open notifications with simple tap

I've been searching for an answer to this, but haven't found anything. Maybe I've missed something?
If I recall correctly, in 4.1 I was able to open the notifications by just tapping the notification area. It was very easy.
With the 4.2 phablet UI, not only are my notifications in the farther corner from my thumb, but I have to do a full swiping motion to open them. Half the time I don't go far enough, and it bounces shut again!
Is there any mod or app to allow opening the notifications with just a tap? Or maybe to change how far I have to drag for it to decide to stay open.
NOTE: I don't mean an app that adds a home-screen shortcut or widget. A)I don't need another icon on my home-screen, and B)I want to be able to do this from inside any app.
Thanks.

[Q] Get rid of running app in notification bar?

I find it very annoying that I get the notification that an app is running in the notification bar. I went to app manager in settings and check not to show notifications and it goes away, but the next time i reboot, it comes back. I can go back to app manager and check show notifications and then check no notifications again and it will go away. Does anyone know how to stop these notifications all together?

[Q] [bug]expanded notification closing to normal size

hello guys,
got nexus 4 with 4.4.1 stock rom+kernel.
im experiencing annoying bug with expanding notification: when unlocking the phone and then expanding the notification in the notification bar for the first time after the unlock, it goes back automatically to normal notification after few seconds.
for example, when i receive email, i unlock the phone, draw down the notification window and expand the gmail notification for additional options (such as delete), but few seconds later it goes back to normal notification size (automatically), if i expand it for the second time it stays expanded.
it really annoys me because if i wanna delete the email and i try to press the delete its gone and i accidentally press another notification which opens another application.
Hope i was clear.
is there a solution for it?

Second screen tied to notification drawer

For years I have hidden the notification drawer on the top of the screen, most of the info there is duplicated in my widgets, and I just don't like the clutter. However with the V20, hiding the notification drawer also turns off my second screen...which then gets rid of one of the marquee features of this phone.
I've tried on multiple launchers (Nova and Next), and the same result. I've tried permanently hiding it, and using gestures to toggle on and off.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Any rooted users know if this is a problem after root? This one little problem annoys me to no end.
Thanks a lot.
I'm on a non-rooted Verizon V20.
There is a setting that might help that allows it to be active when the display is in fullscreen mode. It's meant for videos so it might not have full functionality.
I'm rooted and I get the same thing. I use Nova and the "toggle notification bar" shuts the second screen off along with the notification bar. I don't know why they're tied together like that, it's annoying...
The second screen's "show time while content is shown" option will leave it on with the notification bar toggled off, but it doesn't do anything, it just shows time and notifications up there. You can't scroll it to get to anything.

how do I configure or remove this from my lockscreen.

how do I remove or configure these notifications from my lockscreen?
In settings, notifications. Choose which app notifications you don't want on the lockscreen, then choose the notifications header and remove from lockscreen.
This is mine, but how do you that of more details?
In notifications, see the screenshots for chrome browser. Notice there are separate notifications for different sites. Click on each of these and do not show on lockscreen. Or hide whichever you choose as your setup.

Thanks .... I found it .... best regards!
That app on your lock screen is notistar from within goodlock. In order to turn the lock screen menu off, head into good lock, notistar then at the top of your screen to the right of that search bar there should be 3 sits which you can tap to reveal the settings menu. In there there should be the option for turning notistar off on the lock screen. Hope this helped
