Android apps compatibility issue on Atom CPU Yoga Book ? - Lenovo Yoga Book Questions & Answers

Hi, showbox APK installs but when I click a video, the ShowBox app just stuts down.
Anyone got ShowBox working fine on their Android Yoga Book?

Same problem here
Got mine yesterday, been trying to play movies etc on showbox. Crashes.

It worked fine until about early Feb at which point it became increasingly unreliable.
MovieHD works fine, head over to reddit and get the lite advert sans adverts, ice tried a few on the yoga book ,they all work absolutely fine bar showbox, i found MovieHD to have the quickest update rate for new eps (after showbox)
All , that said , unless you get a lite version the recent iterations of showbox are ridiculously plastered with OS intrusive ads, so i dont think im missing out

VOD Services All4 and 5oD not working on AndroidBox, need help

Hya everyone,
I have been using VOD services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All4 and 5onDemand on my Xperia Z1, and my wifes Galaxy Note 4 without any issues.
Recently we bought an android box, a CS918 and it's been great so we can watch all our shows and what not in bed, we even rooted it to get xposed and remove adverts. Unfortunately even though BBC iPlayer and ITV Player works, both All4 and 5onDemand don't, they just refuse to play any video.
The applications start perfectly fine, i log in into my account, but by the time i start a video and it appears to be loading it, it spits an error saying it can't play the video.
Now, after doing a bit of research it seems like all the 4 applications are made by the same developer which would make sense, but then again, half of the applications work, and the other half don't.
I did a lot of research but there was no information available, and i am questioning if it's to do with the CS918 box being rockchip, or maybe it having a tablet version of Android.
At this point i would love to get any help, it would be great if we could get those services working, that was a big point of getting the box, and we don't want to get rid of it, or have to purchase anything else.
Any help would be great, maybe cause we got rooted it there is a solution?
Thank you!
Would anyone know what to do ?

Unfortunately, just because an app installs, it does not mean it will work correctly.
Because some apps can play video, it is likely the other apps just are not currently compatible.
You could contact the Developers of those apps, and ask if they support your device, Most apps in the play store have contact info on the app's page .
I will request that this thread be moved to > Hardware Hacking > Android Stick Computers

Bug/Problem with Yoga Tab 3 Plus YT-X703F

Hello,
I think I found a bug in the Kids Mode implementation on the Yoga Tab 3 Plus YT-X703F. I found it very useful to control access to the apps and also set time limits etc. However, my nephew has managed to bypass the restrictions by simply clicking on in-app adds which automatically launched the Play Store and he basically went to town installing all the games he wanted and launching apps "hidden" in Kids Mode.
How does one report these things to Lenovo? Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?
I'm using the latest Lenovo release for 6.0.1 for the YT 3

Game compatibility

Hello everyone,
So I just brought a used Yoga Book, after shatter the screen on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 I was wondering if someone could see if a few games are compatible with the Yoga Book. XCOM: EW, KOTOR, and Galaxy On Fire 2.
XCOM:EW works great. The loading times are basically instant. I haven't played KOTOR or Galaxy On Fire 2 on the Yoga Book, however both are available to be downloaded through the playstore, without the need to side load. I would guess they are fine. Just about everything is fine, the main problem I have found is a lack of mouse or keyboard support in games that should be friendly to a laptop form factor.

I haven't actually searched for mouse and / or keyboard compatible android games, but it would be nice if we started a thread about them!

Thank you both. KOTOR should support mouse and keyboard as it is a direct port of the original came and has native support for controllers. KOTOR is next to impossible to side load.

Facebook Android App Not Working

I've reached out to Facebook several times regarding their android app not working on my lenovo yoga book tablet. With each update facebook releases on the playstore I keep hoping they've worked in a fix... but they haven't. Since this ONLY affects my lenovo tablet and not my other android devices, it stands to reason the problem is Lenovo.
All I have to say in response to that conclusion is, LENOVO, FIX YOUR ****!
Probably Facebook app doesn't work with i386 cores Facebook Lite works without troubles.
You have to manually look for a FB x86_64 compatible. You may find it in APK Pure and some others.
Download it, install and don't allow updates. After some months repeat the process in order to get a newer version.

Lineage 16.0 and in Netflix widewine Level 3

Good Morning
sorry this is my temporarily account because my primary account is damaged (i just write an email to the support)
I just installed Lineage 16 last night to my Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus LTE Version.
So far so good.
It works all realy fine and i am so so happy because i love this tablet and would not buy a new one.
But i recognize that in Netflix the quality is realy bad.
I also must install the apk manually bevause in the play store it is not visible. (Installed super pack GAPPS)
After a little research i found the problem.
Widewine Level 3 is the problem.
With stock ROM i just had HD Videos but also a very old version of the Netflix APK.
Now i search half a day for a solution but found nothing.
Tryed https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ncertified-devices-by-netflix.4232373/page-13
but this is not for Lv.3 ( i still tryed) ;-P
Different APK's...
I do not know if it is impossible but i want ask friendly here, is it possible with Lineage 16?
THX for your help...and a nice start for this week

Hey there,
I may be wrong, but as far as I am aware as soon as you unlock the device and go custom rom, only SD is available. For me it is good enough on such a small display not to mention since I am cheap I only have a SD sub
So I am really unsure if passing the certification is possible.
Moving to a newer version of LOS would not change anything to that if I am not mistaking.
Let us know if you find anything
Regards
