v. 5.0.1
baseband version: I9506XXUDOL1
Build number : LRX22C.I9506XXUDOL1
sorry if this was asked before, but i cant seem to find any rooting method specifically for this phone.
Thank you so much in advance!

use cf autoroot from chainfire site, it has version for i9506

I've seen those. but would it work on my phone?
because the one in the website has a different build ID. (LRX22C.I9506XXUDOA6)
mine is "LRX22C.I9506UDOL1"

Yes, will work without any issue

I'll give it a try.. thank you
hopefully it wont get bricked.

try using kingroot or kingoroot apps.
it worked for my GT9505.

Note 3 Andriod 5.0 root (n9005xxugbod6)

Hey I am a newbie here, I'd like to know how to root my note 3, i've heard soo much about it and think it's time to root and gain benefits of it. My build number is n9005xxugbod6 running android 5.0, kernel version is 3.4.0 and knox version is 2.3. I have managed to tap the "about device" multiple times and now i have the developers option there but i heard i need to CF root it with the correct version, but I don't seem to be finding it unless i am doing something wrong? If someone can politely let me know what i need to do/search for and how to root it referring to other threads, please do so. Thanks in Advance.

I'm from Philippines. Is it fine to install India's Lollipop Firmware for Galaxy E5?

The Philippines haven't got any Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) update for Galaxy E5 (SM-E500H) yet (click), but India (click) has already. I'd like to know if it is fine to install theirs for my device. And, what are the implications if I do?
Device Status

Everything works fine. It is a smooth ROM with good battery life.
Guys need help . I updated to lollipop too . But now I want to go back to kitkat so that I can root .
how can I downgrade back to kitkat . Help please
Now that we got lollipop on e5, anybody has come up with a way to root it?
None I believe .. it's requirement is to be running on kitkat.
I still tried to root mine , to try it out
result: stuck on Samsung logo then screen turns green.
after this I just flashed my lollipop rom . Then I'm back to lollipop .not rooted
Did the same thing, updated it to Lollipop. It works well. But the thing is there's not yet any way to root a Lollipop updated E5. However I did try to root it, following its Kitkat's rooting procedure which caused it to froze up on Samsung logo (bootloop) plus followed by the screen turning green.
So now, it's back to Kitkat as I'm so used to using phones with xposed modules. But I'll update it once there's a Lollipop root available.
Cheers!

I flashed the Indian version from Sammobile. Actually the phone appearance changed very little if any and no bloatware was added

Samsung S5 (SM-G900F) stopped loading

Hi,
My gf's phone stopped loading yesterday (stuck at the SAMSUNG logo), so I've tried to factory-reset it via recovery menu. Unfortunately, this didn't help, so I've decided that I need to re-flash the system. After some search I found https://www.kingoapp.com/root-tutorials/how-to-flash-samsung-stock-rom-via-odin.htm and tried to follow it. After checking the sticker behind the battery, I've learned that the model is SM-G900F. Unfortunately I wasn't sure what ROM was installed on the phone before and couldn't find any Ukrainian ROM, which is where the phone was bought originally. In the end, I decided to try installing latest ROM for Germany O2, since this is the operator that my gf uses now.
Unfortunately, Odin refused installing that image with an error "FAIL! (Auth)". After some further searching, I've noticed that when the phone is in download mode, it shows model name SM-G900V. I have no idea why and the ROM that was there before was clearly non-Verizon. Still, having no other option, I've downloaded Verizon ROM and it installed successfully. Luckily the phone has booted, but as expected, it wouldn't connect to any other network than Verizon, which is kinda useless to me given that we live in Germany and use O2. Now I wonder if it's possible to somehow root the phone, install custom recovery and flash that German O2 ROM?
The device is running Android 6.0.1 and kernel 3.4.0. How do I root it? How do I install custom recovery? Which one would you recommend?
Thanks,
Sergiy
In order to root it and install custom recovery you need to follow this guide

I would recommend twrp and magisk
---------- Post added at 10:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:24 PM ----------
Also you need to get the correct twrp for your phone from
https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxys5qualcomm.html
---------- Post added at 10:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:28 PM ----------
After rooting and custom recovery installation you need to decide what ROM you want on this phone ,you can install any ROM that supports sm g900f or g900v or klte (that's your device nickname)
I am on aex and it works good for me so you can try it https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/unified-development/rom-aospextended-rom-v5-4-t3779910
---------- Post added at 10:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:37 PM ----------
Follow the installation instructions from the Aex link and you should be good to go
If you need google apps and play store install gapps zip the link for that is also in the aex post hope it all works out for you ,if you need any help just ask

Seems, you can read russian.
You may like to follow this my guide to flash SM-G900V with an international 6.0.1 ROM.
I think, you can even use VIA (O2) CSC.
P.S. Please, pay attention to:
1. The first boot after factory reset may take 12-15 min (but not more than 20), so be patient. This was the problem, I guess.
2. Read the QA section in my guide to find the answers to your questions about root and custom recovery. And feel free to ask questions (here or there).

Thanks a lot. Indeed, I have probably not waited long enough for the first boot. The instructions you linked, worked! My gf is happy to have her phone back.

You're welcome.
Радий був допомогти.
And note for the next time: it's a good idea to try clearing cache and safe boot before performing a factory reset
