[Q] sm-n900v Lollipop ROOT Question

I am not sure if someone already post this but here is my question.
I have had android tablet in the past and have always rooted them for games and TitaniumBackup. I recently got a NOTE 3 from Verizon and was looking to ROOT that also as well but to not avail. For random reasons Verizon locked the boot loader(If I am wrong plz correct me). I just updated to 5.0 Lollipop. Is my device still unrootable ( if that is a term. DERP!!!). The model number is sm-n900v. Can anyone help me? Post links on how to's or anything any help would be grateful. Thank You.
Yea no root
for lollipop 5.0 for verizon note 3, no known root method is out nor available yet.

Wonderful. My extent of developing was putting together some roms (HC and ICS) for the Toshiba Thrive a few years ago, but if I can help in any way to gain root access for Verizon 4.4.4 or 5.0, I'll do what I can.

Cool. I see where you posted to stay on 4.4.4, but nothing about what you're working on. I'm anxious now. So many apps I like require root!

Hi guys, I'm on bone stock 4.4.4 and Verizon is pushing the 5.0 update as we speak.
I've had the note three on stock for too long and I need some new options for multi window etc so I need root. Am I seeing that a root for 4.4.4 is in progress? If so, I'll stay there, but I really want to strap/update to 5.0 afterwords. Anyone have some thoughts about the difficulty of maintaining root on the switch to 5.0?
i would love to be kept int he loop.. i was on 4.4.2 adn foolishly updated to 4.4.4 i just want root again... and if 5.0 can root i would update too

AFAIK its currently only me and progress is still at the start but not long is needed. Just creating whatever is needed to use the exploit

Haha and the likes of one click root exploits.
Samsung just needs to release a phone without an os on it and with upgradeable hardware.

Rooting after Updating to Nougat

Is the new Nougat released today for the Tmo S7 edge rootable? If so, do you root it the same way as APK1 version? Although I am not rooted, I would like to have the option to root in the future. I'm guessing the bootloader is NOT downgradable based on previous versions. Any thoughts?
Dude, it JUST came out
The impatience is real..
Unlocked bootloader? Sorry, couldn't resist. Hopefully root will be possible, though.
It's probably not going to happen for a while. If at all. The only reason why we had root in MM was because of an engineering kernel. What are the odds that one will leak for Android 7? I wouldn't hold your breath.
I didn't even try the root method for apk1 ... The feedback was mostly negative, and I saw more and more people just use the U firmware.
While I miss root from my note 4, I've pretty much come to grips that the G935T (S7 edge T-Mobile) with it's locked bootloader will most likely never be truly rootable. ? I hope I'm proven wrong though.

How to update to Nougat On ATT S7?

I recently got this phone as a gift from my wife, extremely nice phone especially since I come from an s5. So far rooting this phone Is not really a good idea and currently has no custom rom support. That's okay tho, I'll just keep waiting but for now I want to update to the latest 7.0 Nougat Firmware since it's still in 6.0.1 MM. Sadly the phone says it's up to date and theres no need for update. Obviously this is a like cause I looked it up and there is an update from August to go over to Nougat. [emoji848] I'm here to ask for help cause I can't seem to see why I can't update. Any suggestions would really be appreciated [emoji41]

You can download the update from AT&TS WEBSITE. Once
You have on your phone try to update.
You can Flash Nougat onto your S7 AT&T phone. But if you do not know how take it to a Best Buy that has a Samsung store inside it and they will do it for you for Free. It is really simple to Flash it if you download the file on your PC and boot phone into Download Mode.

Oreo to Nougat on SM-G950W Snapdragon

I hate the Oreo update. I'm on Telus in Canada with Snapdragon and I was wondering if I would be able to downgrade back to nougat G950WVLU2AQK7 with Odin safely without a brick.

Hey buddy, do you mind telling me what do you hate about the update?
Is it buggy?
I have a friend that wanted to update to Oreo on a Telus s8 but I told him about your post and he hesitated.
But, I wish you good luck finding a way to downgrade.

How much worse is the battery life? Like what was the previous SOT (nougat) and the new SOT (oreo)
No mods and u didn't root right? No package disabled or anything?
I heard performance improved on oreo compared to nougat, can you verify that for us?

Switch to the U firmware. AT&T firmware won't update without a valid AT&T SIM.

Has 1000% to do with the firmware. Has everything to do with the bootloader. The bootloader is locked and cannot be unlocked so perm root is unattainable on the 935A or U firmware.
