Problem Accessing Google Services - Huawei Nova/Nova Plus Questions & Answers

Hey everyone,
I recently bought the Huawei Nova Plus, about 2 weeks ago. I noticed a problem early today- I can't seem to access any of Google's apps (YouTube, Google+, Google Now etc) or sites (using Chrome; Opera Mini works fine, weirdly) when I'm on my WiFi connection. Any idea what's wrong? None of this occurs on mobile data. All of Google's sites open fine on my PC, so it's not my connection. I've cleared the cache for Play Services and both data and cache for Chrome. My build number: MLA-L11C185B151.
As a side note, anyone know when Nougat will be arriving? And does anyone else experience a huge phone hang when downloading large apps from the Play Store when default storage is set to SD card? Lastly, where can I get the full stock ROM (came with B131CUSTC185D001), for emergencies...

[Q] Strange app update problem

I had a quick look through this area and didn't see anything about it so hopefully someone will be able to help.
I was running stock 4.2.1 unlocked and rooted on my Nexus 7 and everything had been fine but in the last couple of days 3 apps haven't been able to update properly.
The Play app tried to update Nexus Media Importer, BBC iPlayer and Facebook but every time it tried it left a message for each saying:
"Update for <app name> could not be downloaded due to an error (Error while retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0])"
Everything else seems to work OK and my Nexus has just updated to 4.2.2 but the error persists.
I tried uninstalling Nexus Media Importer but get a similar error when trying to reinstall it.
I looked in 'Storage' and found that somehow it was using .98GB of my RAM so I uninstalled some stuff and got it down to 748MB (still a lot?) but still I cannot install Nexus Media Importer or update BBC iPlayer and Facebook - same error.
Any ideas? I can browse and do everything else so my Internet connection is fine and my 'phone updated BBC iPlayer and Facebook without any problems so it's definitely local to the Nexus.
Also what does 'Apps (app data and media content)' refer to other than the obvious? It shows pictures, videos, downloads, etc. separately and I don't have that many apps installed so I'm bothered as to why it's using so much RAM. (All cache is cleared, BTW)
Searching here I found something about stopping Google Services Framework and clearing data followed by a restart but that didn't do it, also I have a second Google Play account so I switched to that but it was the same.
In case anyone goes looking for the same problem in future, the cure was to delete the main email account that the Play store uses (Settings / Accounts / Google), then recreate it and all will be well. It will delete emails, calendar entries, etc. but they'll be reloaded when you log back in so nothing will be lost.

[Q] Problems after updating to 4.2.2

Hello everyone,
First of all I tried searching for my problem on google and here on XDA. I also tried clearing cache and data of Google Play Services etc.
My Nexus 7 was until recently running on rooted stock android 4.2.1. The 4.2.2 update notification came 2 days ago and I updated without hesitating. I lost root access which is normal and it doesn't bother me much at the moment but my main concern is that my tablet doesn't connect to my google accounts on youtube and play store. All I get is "No connection"
My Wi-Fi icon is up there on the status bar but it is not in blue as it usually is but in grey. I can use chrome, gmail and web based applications but I just can't connect to the play store and my youtube account.
As stated above, I tried clearing cache and all but no luck. Any ideas?

My problem is fixed. I rooted my nexus 7 and everything went back to normal.

[Q] Google account syncing problem on Galaxy S5

Hello, I'm new here.
I have a brand new galaxy s5. Running stock everything. I set up my Google account and was able to access some features, such as logging into the play store and downloading apps. However I am unable to access the Google play games feature, I also cannot sign into certain apps requiring google+. I have deleted the account and re entered my details. I have even performed a factory reset and still have no luck. I have tried putting my phone in flight mode and then back to normal and even disabling master sync and re-enabling it. How do I fix this problem. The account seems to say syncing for a very long time, everything else seems to work fine. Is this a network problem?
Problem solved
So I figured I wasn't going to receive any advice any time soon, probably because my explanation wasn't too clear but I fixed the issue. As mentioned I tried everything and factory reset and that did not work. The main issue was when I logged into some apps requiring Google+ link such as Clash of Clans, I was unable to sign into link my account. I also realised the Google Play Games app did into work, it just showed blank loading pages for tab.
So here's what I did (Android 5.0 - Galaxy S5 stock):
Go to Settings>Applications>Application Manager>All
Now go to the Google Play Games App then disable the app. This uninstalls the new version of the app that was updated 15th May 2015. Instead you are reverted back to a older version of the app, which works perfectly. Now you will be able to link your accounts requiring Google+/Google Play.
Since Google released the update quite recently, people have experienced the same issue. I am hoping a new update will be available soon so you can update to that and skip this current update and never have to worry about the bug again.
But at least with this fix you can enjoy your Google Play Games.
Which one version of Google Play Games do I have to install?

Problems with Google running on Galaxy S5

Hello, today I rooted my phone to use apps such as gamekiller and when it rooted it was all fine. I could use Google services, access play store and everything. But later on I did a factory reset on my phone because it was full of unwanted data and apps that I don't need. When I did the reset and I come to log in with Google it wouldn't let me use Google account it kept saying "Couldn't sign in. Cannot establish a reliable connection to the server." I can't use Google anymore, I can't use my login on YouTube, I can't access the play store, I can't use snapchat because of Google play services. I cannot use anything to do with Google. Anybody know what to do? Would running a custom rom work? I've also researched to problem. Date and time is normal. Wifi proxy is none which all causes problems for people and Google if they don't have them....
Thanks guys

Certain apps can't access internet with mobile data while others can't. Wifi works.

Hi There,
So today i am experiencing the strangest thing. I have not touched any settings anywhere that i know of but all of a sudden:
Mainly google apps (Gmail, Drive, YouTube, Play Store, Hangouts, a Google search within Samsung Internet Browser, Google login to Flipboard function) do not get an internet connection via Mobile Data on my phone
Other apps like Dropbox, Facebook, Facebook Messanger, Internet pages in the Samsung Browser, etc) load just fine as allways
Connecting to my wifi network all the apps from point 1 load without an issue just as any other as well
I am not at my mobile data cap.
I have not touched any sort of mobile data restriction setting or any other system setting recently that could've caused this.
So what in the blue hell can cause this and how do i fix it? (Don't want to hear about doing a full phone reset because that is not something i wish to do)
Cheers
