SIgnal - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

It's so common to get a weak signal after flashing a new ROM?
I've been using RR since a few months, I'm a G4 regular owner and AT&T user in Mexico, I didnt use my phone with stock rom enough time to say if there's a big difference between after and before.
I just did:
1- Unlock Bootloader
2- Flashed recovery
3- Flashed ROM and GApps
Do you think I failed flashing Modem or anything?
Any other user from Mexico using AT&T as provider with signal issues?

If you have never flashed a modem to your device it is better to leave it this way. All modems you can find are leaked ones.

what happen if I'm already in 7.1.1?
Just downgrade to stock and after that upgrade again?
There are no any issue doing that?
@Droidphilev Thank you for the advice, I'll not do that then.

[Q] Stuck on Edge, lost 3g on Tmobile after flashing Euro firmware

Any idea as to why this happened? I am sure i lost the USA Tmobile 3g band when i updated. Any way to restore this?
Very detailed answer you will find in numerous postings.
My advice would be to read and learn other peoples experience before doing such things like changing your expensive toy's firmware.
Cheers!
Not feeling very helpful huh?
There is a t-mobile stock firmware in Odin compatible package by rotohammer.
I think you need to extract the modem.bin and just flash it back using Odin.
But frankly speaking, I don't own a tab, let alone a US version flashed into Euro.
I am just lurking around to read as much as I can before buying one and tinker with it.

Yeah, you should be able to extract the modem.bin from rotohammer's T-Mobile backup. Put it into the PHONE slot in ODIN and hit Start. (Just reflashed my modem on my AT&T Tab to get HSPA instead of HSDPA, but the process should be the same.)
I would like to be helpful but seriously man! Did you even read the COUNTLESS threads on this?? Anyway, im assuming you flashed the euro firmware to get telephony capabilities. If you flash the stock modem.bin then u get 3G but u dont get phone. If you want phone then your stuck on edge. Thats just the way it is...for now.

Even though some of us have provided some help, I must agree with what you and others are saying. It is a BAD IDEA TO NOT RESEARCH BEFORE FLASHING. Flashing is not without risk, so it is in everyone's best interest to read up before trying.
Greetings.
I'm from Puerto Rico. I have a T-Mobile Galaxy. Flash my Tablet and I got the phone. Runs much faster than the original ROM, I am using the Euro version. I echo a couple of tests with several Moden.bin. The Vibrant original gives good speed, good signal but very low sound on the phone. Axura The same thing happens. I tried the T-Mobile Original Galaxy tab and try to call and falls. I will continue playing around with it to see if I get something. In PR I have only 3G in certain areas. So I strive to both the 3G. But I will keep trying and tell them my experience. So far I leave with Moden that brings the Euro, a little shaky in the signal, but I can accept it. Great work friends.
God bless.
Saludos.
Gran trabajo amigos.
Dios les bendiga.
I had the same problem. This is because you flashed the wrong modem.bin file I am pretty sure. I am in BC Canada, so I have to use the bell modem.bin file. I have JM6 with the bell modem giving me full data and voice capabilities. I posted some details and files on how I got it working...

Te Funciono el 3G ? ....
--------------------
3G works for you? ....
And I worked the Room that went? .... I would like to completely reset it from scratch, to uninstall the animated backgrounds and now I can not install any, it's weird but good.
Apn does not work. The rom works fine except for 3G connectivity.
you try use other data apn form mobil entel? or call the operator for data
Los use pero no funcionaron.
I used but not work.
The problem is the BASEBAND
Hello, the problem for the Phones in CHILE is the Baseband, not the APN configuration.
Your baseband (and mine) is the N° 203026 (MSM7X30203026C00B628SP01_AMSS). That's the reason you only have 2G. You flash a ROM from another country with a radio frequency distinct. We don't have a copy of our ROM, yet.
Gracias.
Gracias
-----------------------------------------------------------
Thank you.
even so the Room served and good I do not think he'll change because they do not want to stay without 3G ...
Someone could help me with the problem that eliminates the animated backgrounds pack and now I can install almost any that do not appear.
thanks
________________________________________________________________________
3G doesn't work for me either, but i never use it so... it's not a problem for me.
Another question, Swype works ok for you?, i mean does it predicts the words and all of that?
Thanks c:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is there any way to use the baseband of the previous version and use the current or a new rom?
Gracias.

Same problem here. ¿Anybody have the Entel Chile stock Rom for this device? U88005-1 . Thanks

[ROM] KI2 for Dominican Republic (orange) And KG7 from Claro (added)

I wanted to post this, since i haven't found any reference for my country's phones. should be useful for warranty purposes or anything like. this is the official rom for the SGS2 from 'Orange Dominicana'
Updated Link, it's working now
https://hotfile.com/dl/153433145/2d821bc/GT-I9100_DOR.zip.html
PDA:I9100UHKI2
Phone:I9100UHKI1
CSC:I9100DORKI1
By the way, i havent found any reference about this, so it should be listed in other threads about CSC's.
CSC code DOR= Orange Dominicana
Also, for those who search for it, this is KG7 for the SGS2 from Claro Dominicana.
https://hotfile.com/dl/159152066/63177f2/GT-I9100-CDR.zip.html
This is 2.3.4 stock from factory
SG2 I9100 firmware Orange dominicana
Hola Boris,
it's me again, i really need that firmware. please let me know where i can find it.
Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 for Orange Dominicana
thanks
Andre
I'll update the links.. Not today, but maybe this weekend.
Edit:
I think i posted the link in intratech's thread for original firmwares from carriers and he keeps another working link.
I'll be updating this one, with the untouched file anyways..

Hey boris...
Is this the 2.3.4 ginger??? If right, do you have an ICS rom for this phone???
Cheers,

Orange stock rom, still 2.3.4. KL1 is 2.3.6 (wich by the way, works almost perfect with another modem) . If you want ics, you can flash the stock lp7 from Uk (xeu) wich works fine. Still a few bugs, but works well.
Enviado desde mi GT-I9100 usando Tapatalk 2
Thanks a Lot Boris, helped a lot..
Ok..
let me give you a 1,2,3
every firmware, has 3 basic parts. PDA, CSC, And Modem
You can flash diferent parts for each,In your case, take the KL1 for Open Europe if you are interested in 2.3.6, wich is still a lot more stable than 4
It has all the three parts inside.
but in your case, the modem that it has, will not work well here.
you can flash that file, and then flash another file in the modem field.
that file is this one:
https://hotfile.com/dl/155075718/8f2...XXKI1.tar.html
that is the Ki1 modem. it works well here with orange.
you can flash them together.
just put the firmware on PDA, and the modem in Modem (or phone, thats the baseband)
If for any chance, you want the orange logo and stuff,
https://hotfile.com/dl/155075860/c09...ORKI1.exe.html
this is the csc file for orange DR. if you put it, the phone will have even the orange startup logo, but you can loose some extras (like google talk video chat)
and, please, to avoid confusion, let's continue this issue in the right forum, the one for the I9100
Try this post..

Hi Juan Carlos, it's probably going to take a very long time for a Dominicana specific ICS rom. I can suggest you to use XEO_XWLP8 (what I'm using right now)
from the forums, if you feel like not waiting longer to appear.
I'm from Mexico's and my carrier is Telcel (modem UMKK1). I also had the problem of been waiting too long for Samsung/Telcel to update our devices to ICS so instead, I've managed to install without much hassle LP8. This rom is UK Unbranded and DOES include Spanish.
If you need some help in updating to ICS feel free to ask.

Gracias.

Hey String,
I've read some forums that similar problems to yours were solved by flashing a stock firmware.
Get a stock ICS ROM for galaxy S2, you can find them here in the forums. Do a Factory Reset and then flash the stock rom to see if that works for you.
Hope that works...

No need to flash anything. Just take in mind, that the device need's to be unlocked, and, that Orange (Witch i personally prefer) uses BandVIII for hsdpa (900 Mhz) witch your phone doesn't support, so no 3g speed with them and your device. Claro Uses BandV for 3g (850) witch is the same as AT&T, so 3g speed are available with your device.

There's no way to hardbrick your device by just flashing a rom with odin. I even could say that you can flash the N910H rom via odin without any kind of wipes over SweetRom which is almost the same build and the device would boot normally (some bugs might be appear here and there).
If you want to clean flash the new N910H firmware, head into CWM/TWRP and wipe data, cache and system, then put it in download mode and flash the firmware via odin.
Don't worry, just wipe everything I said earlier and flash it via odin. Should work fine without bugs.
Abrazo!

Translation: We can't speak in other language rather than english if we don't put a translation below. It shouldn't be necessary to change the bootloader or modems because they're integrated with the md5 package you downloaded. If you downloaded a tar.md5 package for odin, you only need to do the necessary wipes and flash Lollipop via odin. I did the same with my old N7000 and my N910C, it's the same in every Galaxy device out there. If you need to upgrade from a custom rom to a stock rom with a newer android version the only intermediate step is wipe everything. Dont worry, you will not mess up anything. If you do, remember that you can go to the older version to revert the changes.
Suerte!/Good Luck!
