Root Huawei y560-L01 - Huawei Y5 (2017) Questions & Answers

Hello . I try to unlock the bootloader but can not find the Product ID. When I type that number simply disappears and nothing appears. Do you think there any solution?

Please help me
Please help me

Probably not needed any more but just in case someone comes across this post, firstly, you don't need product ID, secondly Huawei support is ****, don't try it, lastly, the service is withdrawn.

IMEI recovery procedure

Hi xda and fellow developers and users
If you are reading this thread then you have probably experienced the issue of losing your IMEI number and realized that you haven't backed your efs folder up.
Well if you have a generic imei number (0049...) fear no more.
I have just watched the user Odia remotely access my computer and fix my imei and restore it back to the original settings.
The reason I have turned to Odia is because I have tried all those tutorials on here which claim to help you restore your imei number. One worked for a couple of days but my phone then got blocked again and became unusable.
Here is what you need to do if you chose to follow the route I have followed:
1) contact Odia
2) transfer him 40USD via PayPal (refund if no solution found)
3) take a photo of your imei number on the box
4) know your CSC and product code
5) have teamviewer installed on your windows machine
6) have the google sdk and adb installed
7) watch and adore his work
8) thank him
9) thank him
10) thank him again
11) thank him again for good measure
12) back the efs folder the hell up afterwards
13) recommend him to other users
It worked for me and this repair would have cost me a fortune because samsung don't carry out warranty work if your imei is broken.
Yes Odia now his stuff happy to hear your back to normal.
And there are memeber that go all out to help others...
Keep this in mind if I every need to
Useful info, but how do i find out the csc and product code?
Ricey
If you are carrier locked you need can find it on the "carrier branded firmware section" and if you are unbranded then it doesn't really matter.
really thanks for the tip man, i tried to contact Odia but it seems he is offline since 27 december
I lost my IMEI number yesterday (no idea how), but I then spent all day trying to get it back, until I found this bit of software on the Market :
GSII Repair: (xda won't let new users post a link, but search the market for it)
I had to reroot my phone to do it, having unrooted it during the day in preparation for sending it back to Samsung or Vodafone, but the software was fantastic and recovered my IMEI for me.
Any idea how the number gets lost? Is it down to the phone being rooted, and can it happen if it's not rooted ?

Less chance of it happening if your phone is not rooted, but I see the main cause as custom ROMs and using flight mode.
will this work on nexus s?
iv pmed you odia?
I need to recover a IMEI number on a galaxy nexus.
Odia is capable of these (and he/she can do it?)
The GSII repair is valid for samsung galaxy nexus?
Thanks a lot

P9 Bricked?

Hi to all
My name is Yarli and this is my first post on XDA-Dev.
I have a Huawei P9 Lite and I have a problem.
I did root on it following one of the 1.000 manuals on XDA. I unlock it contacting Huawei, and I downloaded like 4 or 5 different roms to test.
No one worked. Never. So even having a rooted cellphone I never could use it. I did the same with a Nexus 5 before, and I'm still doing it, actually. I like testing roms. But with this P9 Lite, no ways.
This was a second cell phone to play with so once I saw was impossible to put a damn Rom on it, I surrender. And kept it on a draw.
A few months ago I read Huawei was blocking the root access on its cell phones so I did the rollback and I installed a version of emui restored and downloaded from Huawei. Everything looks like working so I kept the cellphone clean: no google account, no apps, nothing. It looked ok. Youtube working fine, camera too, everything fine.
Last week. My girlfriend broke her cellphone. "Don't worry, I have one for you". So... I didn't. As soon as you try to set your google account the Play Store freezes and went back to the "insert account" screen.
I have a Huawei Attention Center close to my place. I took my cellphone there to check it like "Sorry, I put your software, officially downloaded from your website and my phone is no working right". And they say "You have to change the mother-****ing-board. 159€". For this price ¡I would buy another brand new cellphone!
So, the question:
What can I do?
Thanks for your collaboration.
Some info
Emui 4.1.1
VNS-L31C900B170
ANDROID 6.0
I dont know if this will help but, when I enter pressing the three buttons, on the emui recovery it says "Downloading package", bla bla bla,... and then "Software install failed" The update package does not exist, please dowload the package again" and I only can Reboot system now.
What the hell to do?
Thanks

Hi Yarli,
i was wandering why you rollbacked, you could have chosen to do only unroot and
flash the stock recovery to keep having updates.
Maybe you misunderstood what happened on Huawei world.
They do not closed access to root, they closed access to website used
to request bootloader code.
During the rollback something is gone wrong and you have that firmware ( C900 ).
Maybe with a correct firmware you could solve that stucked situation.
Three buttons AKA dload is used to perform a forced update,
so you have to put a DLOAD folder in SD card with inside update.app
file extracted from FullOTA firmware.
Yep this could solve, i said could.
So if you choose to do what i'm posting here you assume all responsability
about you are doing with your device... it may simply not work or make things worse.
If you don't agree just ignore this post, if you want to try then answer my questions:
Have you already tried a factory reset ?
Wich region do you live ?
First of all: Thank you so much for your answer.
It seems I didn't get it right. At the end I wasn't using this p9 so much so I wasn't so deep on it. Now I see.
Let's see:
I have already try the factory reset, and the result is the same. The phone works, even if I put the sim card I can call and receive calls. But when I try to add my gmail account I can't. The systems gets out all the time. So no calendar, no mail, no fotos, no nothing related to my google account.
My region is Spain.
Again, thanks for your help

Mi Unlock not working (Website)

I have completed most steps from this guide: www[dot]ytechb[dot]com/unlock-bootloader-redmi-note-7/
But right now I want to go to en[dot]miui[dot]com/unlock/ to apply for an unlock, but it keeps redirecting to the chinese mi forum. When trying to switch to the english one, I get a 404 not found.
The chinese site prompts me to enter a username (I know this by c&p the entire site text into google translate). But whenever I do this, it tells me something went wrong "Sorry, your request is incorrect or the form verification string does not match.". What can I do now?
Is the site just down temporarily, are the links not working, or what exactly is happening?
If nothing works, is there another way to unlock the phone?
Any help is appreciated

Asus Bootloader unlock tool

Hi
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader of my Asus Zenfone Selfie ZD551KL Z00UD (2GB RAM variant) in order to flash custom recovery and ROM. I installed the bootloader unlock tool provided by Asus in their official website for my device and also specifically for Android marshmallow (which I'm running). But after unzipping and launching the app, it says "unknown error has occurred which may be a network issue. Please try again after some time" But after many attempts its still not budging. I tried to manually unlock it by going into fastboot mode via minimal adb and fastboot tool in PC and tried "fastboot flashing unlock" and "fastboot OEM unlock" both failed(FAILED (remote: unknown command)). The device still says its locked. I don't know what else to do. I recently solved its bootlooping issue by flashing the latest firmware from their official website via apply update from adb in the recovery.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Ialso experience this problem, i have 3gb variant of Z00ud. The official bootloader unlock tool is not working also my device is now softbrick because i install wrong xposed package.

I have been facing the Error as well in TF300TG, keeps giving Network Error, even though i tried via wifi as well as via 3g.
I wrote to Asus to help with the same as unlock tool is officially given by them, and this is what they wrote back to me

Same reply I too got. I just gave up on unlocking. You should too. Never buy asus again if you're into modding.

Huawei P8 Lite (2015) V100R001C69b130 Firmware needed.

Hey folks, I know I'm shooting a very long shot here for some luck, BUT, I am in the need for a stock ROM for the following device that just recently came into my shop and I can't seem to locate a valid DL link anywhere on the net for it (every alleged link seems broken). I seem to only come across other variants and sadly, I don't know which, if any, are variant compatible. The device currently is not bootable as it's stuck in Function 10 error (failed boot image) and doing the hard reset/device wipe does not correct the issue. So I'm hoping someone out there might have a backup of this ROM. I've also tried using every variant of the Huawei HiSuite to recover but they all say the device is not compatible for system restore support. The Bootloader is locked so I can't fastboot restore the device. The info I gave here I obtained using fastboot commands I found in a post here. I appreciate any help you guys can provide on this little problem.
Details are as follows:
Huawei P8 Lite (2015-10-18)
Build: V100R001C69b130
Region: Mexico
