Where can I buy the phone? And which version works on ATT? - Huawei Mate 9 Pro Questions & Answers

Thanks.

Bought mine in China, but I'm international roaming with an AT&T SIM with zero issues. You should be fine.

Will my Canadian S3 work with a prepaid SIM card with data in the California?

Hi. I have a Bell mobility Canadian S3. I am traveling to USA. I need data for using Google Navigation and internet there. Does anyone know if i can unlock my phone, buy a prepaid SIM card, and use the phone there? Is this phone compatible with t-mobile or at&t SIM cards?
ps--if it won't work, i also have an unlocked motorolla Atrix (1st gen), but the screen is fidgety and doesn't work well. Will prepaid sims work in the atrix?... then i can just use the atrix as a hotspot for the S3. Thanks in advance.
EDIT...sorry didn't see that the s3 has different forums for canada and USA versions...found out after i created this thread.
Buy an unlock code online. I heard some site charges like 7 cad. I used cellunlocker.net twice before and it charges 15 us each. Or your local cellphone shop or pacific mall I guess....
At&t will sure work and they are roaming partner of Bell. They might have prepaid voice and data. Check online for yourself.

[Q] Modern Version Help / Roaming Question

Hey Guys,
I am from the auK but travelling in the USA for a couple months and then living in Canada for a year from July, I want to pick up a sim free S4 to use that will work in the USA, Canada and the UK... From what I understand the Walmart versions are the AT&T which is the same as the Canadian ones so should work, but will this model accept sims from UK carriers also?
In the USA ill be using a Walmart family t mobile sim (not worried about data speeds here as its just for emergencies/emails)
in Canada ill probably go with The cheapest sim only rolling contract and speed will be important
in the UK ill probably go with Vodafone or EE
So, if I go get a sim free version in Walmart will I have any issues and do those S4s have any physical/software branding on them?
Cheers
No you should not have sim issues with them.
Yes, walmart phones may have Software (bloatware) on them. You can flash a generic rom to remove the software issues
As to physical branding it depends on where walmart gets its supply from.
That's good news so the LTE version and bands will be fine for Canada... Phew
Now do I buy or not!
AT&T verson Canada capiable with LTE
Tmobile version not compatible with Rogers but will work on wind and some other providers.
Cool so long as its the AT&T version it's good for Canada and any provider?

Which Note 3 should I buy ?

My family has account with Verizon, and I live 1/2 year overseas in Asia where it has only 3G ( atm, no 4G/ LTE yet) . Also, I plan to use prepaid number sometimes like from Tmobile, H20wireless, Ptel or whatever for 2nd number/backup whenever I am in the States.
So, which version of Note 3 should I buy ? the international N9005 or the Verizon version ( no problem to have another line with them to have a primary number for myself ) ? or even Tmobile/ATT version ? Of course, I want to have fastest internet speed in US. TIA

If you want to use a prepaid simcard your basically forcing yourself into a non verizon N3. If you use verizon N3 you can simswap overseas but not domestically. If you want total freedom, N9005 but then you cannot use verizon.

I just got a Verizon note 3 and was told that it was not unlocked for use in the United states. I complained to Verizon that I paid the whole Cosy of the phone up front and that didn't want a contract. They told me that it is not possible to unlock the phone from Verizon wireless. Come to find out that a att sim, t-mobile works just fine. I'm so confused as to why my phone is unlocked here in the states and afar?
Can anyone help me to understand this issue.?

[Q] Is the Verizon variant internationally locked?

Hi,
Does anyone know if this model comes internationally unlocked from the provider?
I'm looking for a Note 3 to use outside of the US.. I bought a Sprint variant on ebay and found that it has to be unlocked by the carrier for international use, so it's just sitting as a paper weight for the last couple months.
Does the Verizon model have the same issue?
Thanks.

The verizon note 3 is globally unlocked to any carrier and any country that supports it's bands. I believe you need to call verizon so they can turn on the global feature on your account when you're traveling.

Chinese version in Canada

I got my Chinese version oneplus two shipped to Canada from Giztop. Got charged 26 dollars customs fees. Shipping took 3 days. Phone works perfectly on Rogers LTE Network. Anybody tried it on other Canadian networks? Haven't tried dual sim yet. Has anybody tried?
It's a great phone. Have no regrets paying more to get it sooner.
