What do you not like about your le max 2? - LeEco Le Max 2 Guides, News, & Discussion

For me: definately the black borders around the display.
Gesendet von meinem Le X829 mit Tapatalk

No Headphone jack ? besides this, this phone is a beast for the price!

It's pink..... Ugh.

come on - that sort of pink isn't a torture, i like it more and more each day/ i ordered it together with the le eco bluetooth earphones so for me everything is okay... except the on/out switch is (for me) on a strange position... and the "screen flickering problem"
I am totally surprised by the eui (in a positive way) and i think i stick to that - after using cm roms up to cm 14 for years- sorry folks

one cool feature in eui is that you can shut down the phone completely and wake it up again bei schedule. haven't seen this before.
Gesendet von meinem Le X829 mit Tapatalk

Yes - compared to samsung stock roms that are pain in the ass - EUI is just nice and easy
I never stuck to samsung stock roms ,that why i choose cm from the very beginning - but this time - no need for .

This phone is the best one under 350-400 dollar or euro. U wont find a better one, the performance is incredible 159k on Antutu with the AOKP ROM, good display all is fine. I would buy it on and on.

Coming from a Samsung S6, the only flaw for now (for me) is that it's unable to send id tags when connected through Bluetooth.
And a 4000mAh would have been better.
Otherwise, you will never find better for this price.

Ur right, ull never find a Vetter phone for that money

Just the camera... I wish it was at least of Galaxy S5 quality.

My greatest dislike is the fact that 3G does not appear to work properly in close vicinity of an AT&T (and possibly other multi-sector) transmission tower. I can go a few blocks away from one and it works perfectly. It's a fundamental issue that makes it a less capable phone than a crappy old Inspire 4G, which doesn't have this kind of issue.
Outside of that, it's an incredible piece of hardware at great price. But I needed a good phone, not just a great pocket sized tablet computer.

Big dislike:
LeFingerprint - dead
LeDisplay - flickers sometimes
merde!
Gesendet von meinem LEX820 mit Tapatalk

fingerprint - dead
poor camera quality (and speed and focus)
crushing every (stock) phone in antutu except iP7 while staying almost cold for 160€: priceless

The Fingerprint and the official ROM hasnt Multi Lang.

I dont know how to explain but it seems that in Benchmarks this phone is fast like the hell but in some games its not that fast u would expect when u look at 159k antutu score!

And out of deepsleep your FP needs to be "pushed" 2 vor 3 times to relock the phone.

there should be a Nougat rom by now

For me it just needed a bigger battery, sd card expansion and getting rid of those uneven black bezels, the bottom one is thicker than all of the other 3...

wanna laugh?
eui 20s, fresh install.

So go with the nexus 4. Since they're practically the same hardware wise. And you'll get updates sooner than any other carrier. Now that's a plus!

Nexus 4 with LG UI launcher?
I'm not an expert, but it all comes down to your personal preference, specially that there is only on e Nexus 4 and many Optimus G. Here are my thoughts:
Nexus 4: Same specs, half price, better support, pure android (which is probably better performance, more customization and better battery).
Optimus G: 13 MP camera (Sprint, but they say the quality is still almost the same), MicroSD (AT&T) or 32 GB (I guess Sprint), true LTE (according to the network frequency, but some people reported they get AT&T LTE but most of us are waiting on T-Mobile to deploy its LTE to try it out), LG modifications and apps (Lockscreen, Zooming movie player, Floating notes) and better hardware support from LG.
So, I got the Nexus 4 because I love to use launchers and lockscreens (so I don't care about LG modifications) and I don't play big games and all my music and files are in the cloud (so I don't care about the expandable memory). And of course to get it unlocked for $300-$350 (so I don't care about which network to use and I can hop between all GSM ones) and I get average speeds of 12Mbps/3Mbps up to 28Mbps/4.5Mbps (so I don't care about LTE).
I really like the Nexus 4. The screen looks great (I kow that some people say it is washed and the brightness is not high). The camera is very good (may be not the best, but what do you really expect from a camera phone). The camera is great outside and very good in low light (apart from a being a bit grainy). It;s like between S2 and S3. If you are a good photographer, you will be able to get really good pics and vids.
Again, it depends on your usage. I tried my best to break it down as I see it and I hope it helps.
If anyone sees it differently or if I wrote something wrong in the specs, please correct me...
Like you said, they have the same specs.
The differences:
1. Updates - the Nexus gets them first, of course. Right now the Optimus G has ICS and I don't know if LG has already updated it to JB.
2. LTE - if you live in the US/Canada/any other country that has LTE and its really important to you, you should go for the Optimus G.
3. Developer community - obviously, the N4 has a larger developer community. So, that means more roms. Check here in XDA how many roms are for the Optimus G.
4. Interface - I actually see this as a win for LG (and other OEM). While Google's pure Android seems as the best UI for many people, I still think the pure, vanilla Android is somewhat boring. LG has really cool features (like the Qslide, options in camera, etc).
That's what I could think of.
Camera performance is also very lacking in nexii. The g will certainly have better photo quality.
Imagination is for turbo-nerds who can't handle how kick-butt reality is!

[Q] Testing before buying

Hello, I will soon buy a Note 3, but I saw there are some defective devices around, and before buying I'd like to test it.
My question is : what are the most common quality-check flaws at the moment? Dead pixels on the screen, camera, or what?
Thanks for your time.
Personally I would twiddle with everything as soon as I get a new device. There should be a 1 to 1 exchange period usually too.

Need fix for my device

Hi all, I've Octacore version from India. Facing few issues listed below. Any help will be great.
1. The ringer volume is low compared to my Note2. Can we boost it.
2. I use Pocket Sensor app which worked great in Note2, and in Note3 it kills my battery.
3. Overall my battery seems draining quick and I want a fix. To survive, I've got my powebank.
4. Is S - View cover worth? It's yet to come to market here.
5. Anyone using Floating Toucher? The response is quite laggy in note3.

Note 4 or Note 5?

Hello every happy note owner... I am planning to buy a new smartphone.. i have two smartphone in my mind.. 1) note 4 or 2) note 5.
I saw a thread about the zerolemon for the note 4 10000mah and 500gb sd card.. For me is the battery important.. does the note 5 have good battery or would you buy note 4 with the zerolemon? i need honest opinion.. And does the note 4 can handle every app and game fluid? i love heavy games.. Modern combat and nfs no limit and so on.. Thx in advance

Get the Note 4. Note 5 is junk.
Sent from my SM-N900 using Tapatalk
I had the option to choose either, but I chose Note 4. It has removable back and SD Card which makes it a real Note. You can say the camera on the Note 5 is %30 better. I already have NFS No Limits, and going through tabs in game is laggy, but I think it is the game's problem, because the gameplay (when racing) has %0 lags. There are also Note 5 ports if you are willing to ROOT it.
I am really happy with it.
In my opinion the note 5 is a fashion tool much more expensive, no ext sd card, no removable battery, but very pretty a few better things than the note 4 but not much. The Note 4, removable battery, ext sd card, ir blaster and has a professional look, performance is excelent on the note 4 and if for you battery is the most import, get the note 4 and buy a zerolemon thing. This is my personal opinion!

The Note 5 has the better hardware no question about that, you just have to ask yourself if better performance is worth giving up a swappable battery and external sd-slot for? Personally I would pick the Note 5 over the Note 4 at this point as it is bound to get Marshmellow faster.
Look at this and make your own decision. It all depends on your personal preference

I have played around with the Note 5. I'm keeping my Note 4. I personally do t feel the Note 5 is worth upgrading to.
Note 4 using Taptalk
Fact is that note 4 does support.. sd card.. Removable battery.. ir blaser.. These 3 things are very important to me.. my question was that if the note 5 is really faster alot. I am talking about real life performance and not stupid antutu benchmarks. thx for everyone who replied to help me out

The Note 5 is the newer phone, so naturally it's faster. BUT, we are basically at a point where the performance in flagships is a none issue in real life. The Note 4 does not lag as does the Note 5. I have yet to find a game which the N4 under clocked to 1496 Mhz won't handle.
Plus the development for N4 is quiet a bit further, so you are able to get overclockable kernels, CM, MIUI and all the N5 Software Features. For me Battery and SD are not that important and i chose the N4 none the less. I like to let devices mature a bit concerning Development. That way you get all the fixes from devs for things Sammy screwed up :good:
Note 5 is junk
Note 5 is junk, why must remove IR blaser in note 5?
For me Removable battery and IR blaser is very important and isn't important benchmarks for me when Note 4 is fast enough.

Note 4 still the best for me
Well i dont use my phone for 2-3 years but i always buy a phone that i "could" use for that long ...after all i am spending heck lot of money on it recently i had the option to buy a note 5 or 4...i went for note 4 because of 1)REMOVEABLE BATTERY it does not have a built in expiry date like note 5 or galaxy s6...and its not easy to replace the battery on these phones 2) SD CARD i suggest you go for a NOTE 4 its called Android King for a reason !

S5 Mini or S5 Neo - which is better?

Hi,
I currently own a Samsung Galaxy S (yes no trailing number)!!!!
I am looking to replace it with either a Galaxy S5 Mini or a Galaxy S5 Neo, I'm not really sure which one to go for and I hope someone here can give me some advice as to which one is the best phone, from a reliability / performance / ease of use / battery life perspective.
Thanks in advance!!!
Both are nearly the same.
Mini is smaller and Neo is bigger. This is the most difference.
Neo is the newer device and optical nearly like the normal S5. But camera is a little bit under S5.
More mini are out there, they are more mainstream and the community with custom ROMs is bigger. The neo is more seldom and the community support is not so good at all.
Maybe when the bigger neo is more what you want. Look at the normal S5. Big community like the Mini.
In USA it is still one of the most selled smartphone.
My wife uses the mini and I the neo. We are both happy.
That's the difference. How we can help you.
I think, when I had a new choise, I would go with the normal S5 [emoji6]
But I am still happy with my neo [emoji2]

I'd advise you to go with the international G900F. It has the largest developer support and is the most widely used S5 model. But then again, the S5 itself is 4 years old as of now. Try to get an S6-S7 at least, or if you prefer big phones - Note 4 or Note 5.

Thank you for your message, so it sounds like it is more down to personal preference, I was thinking of the normal S5 at first but the fiddly usb cover puts me off a bit, as I want to fit a silicone case and this might get in the way, also I like the idea of not having to rely on a flap to keep it water proof, which the mini and neo are without one.
The USB cover was the reason why I decided to take the Neo.
I like it and it works well for me. Don't need another phone.
If you don't need custom ROM or so, take the neo.
But an Oreo based custom ROM is in development at XDA developers. Just one.

I do like the idea of using a custom ROM, as I want to be able to reduce bloatware and prevent data mining from apps. In an ideal world I would have something like a Saygus V2 (if they ever get produced) or a Blackphone, but with access to normal apps, which I'd like to be able to install but remove the apps' ability to have access to contacts, camera, microphone, etc. I would have opted for the normal S5 (G900F), Just a shame about the flap!

Thanks for your reply, I want to stay away from the hard wired battery models though (call me old fashioned!), which unfortunately means choosing from older phones. I see in your spec list that you have a normal S5, do you find the USB cover much of a problem?

I also don't want to let go of my S5 because of the removable battery. Also i like and use the infrared receiver. The flap is no problem to me... because it broke and i lost it more than one year ago

Ah, they sell the flaps on eBay for not much money, but if the waterproof feature isn't important to you I guess it would be less hassle to go without it.
Any views on the S5 LTE-A (G901F), I know the performance is better but not sure if there are any custom ROMs for it or whether it is worth paying the higher price above the normal S5 G900F?
Cheers, John

Not sure for the S5+ but you can explore around this forum to see if there are any mods for it. Afaik there was one custom rom but again better check yourself as I'm not sure.
