No LTE on Sprint network - Sprint HTC 10 Questions & Answers

I ran the unlocked RUU on my Sprint phone and wasn't able to get service because of the radio and I reverted back to stock with Sprint RUU and I haven't been able to get LTE back. I've tried flashing Bad Boyz and Viper custom roms cause they support Sprint network but all I get is 3G. I tried editing APN settings but the only one that gives me an internet connection is the one I'm running and I only get 3G with that. I tried entering ##72786# on my dialpad for a reset but nothing happens. Anyone have anything new I can try to get the LTE back? I'm a newbie at this so maybe I missed something.

You try *#*#info#*#* and try to change it from there?

Yea when I put it on LTE only I get no service and CDMA & LTE just gives me 3G. I live in new york and my family has LTE on S7 and iPhone so that's not the issue. Last night when I was messing around with it I got LTE for 2 seconds and it went back to 3G.

Tried that already.

You have to delete the modemst1 and modemst2 partitions then reboot the phone.
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
You have to be in bootloader mode and connected to the computer of course.
I did the same thing a few months back, my post is probably still floating around somewhere on here. Took me 3 days to find the answer above and get it back working normally. Haven't had any issues since though.

I've been trying for 2 days now I can't get LTE connection. If anyone knows a reason or a possible fix please help. I've tried 5 different roms including stock Sprint and US unlocked and the best I get is 3G connection. I've tried updating profile and PRL and ##72768# doesn't do anything.

Thanks, I'll try that and report back.
EDIT: I remember trying that last night but it didn't work for some reason but I just tried that and it worked I'm back on LTE. Thanks a ton.

You're very welcome. It was super frustrating when I went through that. I almost used my insurance on the phone.

I have this problem too after I flashed the developers version of Nougat and Marshmallow. I was stuck with 3G, sometimes I would switch to LTE and then it would go right back to 3G.
I deleted the modemst1 and modemst2 and rebooted. At first the phone complained that it could not find any data signal. So I updated the profile and phone rebooted. After reboot and I NO signal and the No Sim icon was active. I did the *#*#4636#*#* and the phone was on WCDMA (preferred). I could not change it from this setting and the phone would reboot after 10 minutes.
I flashed the factory Sprint ROM and deleted the modemst1, modemst2. After reboot and the initialization screen I had LTE! Amazing. Then the phone went through the activation process and rebooted. It booted up and displayed the No Sim icon and now I have no service, again.
What partition do I need to delete and in what order? As carrsteven said, this is really frustrating and I just want my phone back to normal.

I finally fixed it!
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash radio xxxx.img
RUU to the factory Sprint ROM. Do not use the zip, use the actual .exe file and let Windows do the installation.
Go through the setup and it should be good. If your phone activates and you get the No Sim icon, erase the modemst files, flash the radio and try again.

i mistakenly relocked the sim lock on my htc a9..trying to fix this 3g and LTE issue any idea on how unlock it again..it was sent to me from a famly member

Hi, same scenario, flashed US UNLOCKED oreo rom on sprint 2ps64 and end up without imei and simlocked
Now, on sprint stock Oreo, I recovered imei and unlocked sim but I only have g (not even 2g or 3g or 4g).
I erased modemst1 and 2 but it says failed partition not supported, but all of this in oreo, should I downgrade To nougat and erase? Don't says just yes...
Pd- I even extracted radio.img from sprint ruu as they say to flash it but cmd won't let me do it... I'm lost

When I was performing these flashes I only used Oreo. Makes sure you are in the correct mode to flash the modem.

the Sim-card
i am 100% sure the sim card works since i have tested it already on a other phone

I've tried to search to mobile carriers and it successfully finds them on 4g, 3g or 2g but it won't register.
if i tap my carrier it says ''registering on Lebara'' and i get a message ''sorry we couldn't register at this time, try again later''

first remove the sim pin-code and clear cache from recovery and see if it detects. if it doesn't work see if you have twrp backup of previous rom on which you were on, and restore the backup.
or flash any new rom and see if it detects the sim.

I don't know which rom to try,
at first I mistakenly flashed the Asian dual-sim version. but the sims didn't work at all, no detection no nothing.
later I tried the correct version from Europe, and the Sim got detected but it didn't wanted to be used. atleast the phone didn't
I've the same problem. I just flashed correctly stock version of system, but I didn't notice that it is version Dual SIM. Then I wanted to flash CM 14.1 but unfortunetly modem doesnt work. I've tried flashed once again modem of stock version and it result i could input my pin code, but in settings I see that radio is off.
EDIT: I want to add that after noticed CM 14.1 modem doesnt work, I've flashed stock one sim modem. But device still recoganize that my XT1562 is dual sim. Is there any adb/fastboot command which could fix my issue?

I've figured out that it's my IMEI number that's missing but I can't acces the ADB commands, maybe you are having a lucky day.
If you still have the original box you could find your IMEI number and fix it with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/steps-how-to-recover-bad-imei-t3171452
but please becareful with this solution I don't know if it's 100% compatible with android 6.0

How to restore B20 on x720?

My phone doesnt have B20 anymore because i ****ed up big time by installing this jui rom.
I have tried flashing NON-HLOS.bin in fastboot but it doesnt work. I am running out of ideas, tried a lot of things but nothing works.
If someone has any info on this topic please share, B20 is essential to me.
Thanks.
I'm starting to believe it's your EFS partition (some backups have EFS backed up...it's not a default option though.) Alternatively, you can see if this will bring your device back to life. My guess is the IMEI is corrupt and it's not able to authenticate your device onto the LTE frequency (strange that HSPA works though...)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/help/unlocking-bands-t3565979
Otherwise, it sounds like Le Eco will need to manually reflash the EFS partition to your device (ie: sending it in for repair.)
Damn i dont have any efs partition backed up ;/
I guess i will have to try this too, will report back if it worked.
Fastboot flash system, boot and format data isnt working either. The other commands for flashing recovery and files are working though..

On the 727 the command to format in fastboot is fastboot erase userdata and I flashed system by flashing everything else then flashing twrp and flashing system image from TWRP. Like you I screwed up with the JUI junk and no longer have LTE. My fault and my fault alone.I shouldn't have went all kamikaze and flashed stuff that wasn't meant for my device.Anyhow,if I hear of or figure out a solution I will message you or post here.Id appreciate if you would do the same.

Yep. Same here, just how it goes. For further help, I tried flashing the modem.img I found for bringing a x720 back to a x727 and it made things a bit worse, won't even recognize sim now .
Maybe something in here would help\: http://www.androidbrick.com/ultimat...agon-xiaomi-mi5-imei-and-baseband-repair-fix/ It looks a bit outside of my knowledge range.

Just unzip and flash in fastboot. The method in this thread looked promising to get LTE back but unfortunately it didnt work. But at least you can get your sim working again with the modem.

That's actually that one that did the sim problem. Is it supposed to go into "modem" as in fastboot flash modem modem.img? Because that's what I did. I was thinking maybe it's supposed to be fasboot flash radio not modem...
The paragraph above it sounds interesting... CN18s to US19s rom zip. Supposed to restore to stock US rom "LTE bands and all" from a Chinese. I'm guessing that's already been tried? I'm going to try it anyway to see if it fixes my sim issue if nothing else.

No problem. I'll try a few other things and if that doesn't work, we'll see if you radio from the OTA works. I'm redownloading the modem zip from the thread to see if maybe it was just a bad DL. I did dl it on my phone, sent it to google drive and downloaded to my PC from drive so maybe that messed it up. I'm also going to try that CN18s to US 19s as well. Possibly that first since it might fix both. I hope!

VOLTE ISSUE - Can this method work?

By now, everyone should be fairly aware of the Volte issue that we have on our G5 plus. Just having the 4g connection seems so irritating.
I just wanted to know if this method would work to bring the Volte: What if we deliberately hardbrick our device (you know, just the blinking LED light on the device and no display - I have been there ) and flash the blank albus files that worked as a solution to unbrick your device. What this would mean is that once we hardbrick the device, it would be a totally clean slate. Then, flashing the blank albus files would re-install any Volte commits as well and then the default Volte would work?
This is just a thought. Any developers/SMEs, please verify this.

LTE can be brought back... Just flash any latest Oreo ROMs
Then run the following commands
- fastboot erase modemst1
- fastboot erase modemst2
- fastboot reboot
Sandy I've done that a lot. LTE will never stick for me. I get this ! next to it then it goes back to 3g always.
Same problem only 3g
I think i have solution, the "persist" backup of Moto G4, this give me 4G, but imei continue in 0. U need make a backup everything if u have 4G/Imei. Is a dangerous method, but maybe works. Idk
Persist backup in GDrive
Instrucctions:
MAKE A BACKUP MANDATORY
Download the file, unzip and copy to ur phone
Reboot in recovery
Make a backup of anything (logo or anything else)
Go to Advanced -> File Manager
Move the file to TWRP -> [SERIAL NUMBER, ej: ZY22447XXL] -> [Date ej: 2018-02-09--10-51-55]
Back to principal menu, and go to Restore
Now see "persist", select and restore
Reboot and search mobile network, select firts 2G, wait for it to connect, after select 3G and wait for it to connect, and then select 4G and wait.
If you get an error when searching for networks, just restore with the backup you made, or flash Pixel Experience 8.1.0.
I would try this but I don't quite understand. Number 5 has me a little confused. ( Move the file to TWRP -> [SERIAL NUMBER, ej: ZY22447XXL] -> [Date ej: 2018-02-09--10-51-55].
Try restoring this EFS in TWRP. I did it and I have LTE https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KsqY7t7ItEIgE4rvp2nqF7JuhEv2h-JV/view?usp=sharing
As mentioned in previous thread, this backup renders no service. Thank you for your effort though

Mi A1 Wifi Issue after flashing stock ROM

Greetings!
I have been using Resurrection Remix for about a month now, but when the stock April patch came, I decided to return to stock firmware. I downloaded the most recent flash package from the official Xiaomi site and flashed it via MiFlash. When the phone booted up, I could see every wireless network, but when I chose to connect to any of them, the signal dropped a bit and it said "Connecting..." then immediately "Saved". After a few automatic try, it would just say "Disabled". The router settings are just fine, the phone could connect to it before I flashed stock rom. I also tried to download a bit older patch (9.5.4), which was neither good. After it I tried Nougat, but it still won't connect to the network. The hardware must be fine, since it was working an hour ago with Resurrection Remix. Could anyone help me out? Thank you in advance!
EDIT: Solved. The problem was with the persist partition, which is not flashed during the firmware flash process, so you have to flash it separately in TWRP. You'll have to download THIS FILE (persist.img), move it to /sdcard of your device, then boot to TWRP (you don't have to flash TWRP, only boot in it), tap on "Advanced" -> "Terminal", then type in the following: "dd if=/sdcard/persist.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p27". After it, reboot the phone into fastboot mode, and flash the firmware again. That's all.
Wifi works, but sim = 0

I managed to fix the WiFi and SIM (no imei).
Just flash persist.img if you only have the WiFi-issue.
There's a somewhat complicated guide here in the forums as well. Just google "mi a1 imei fix xda".
I'll help you tomorrow if you cant fix it.

Here is solution: : How to restore IMEI permanently after using factory flash
I have the same problem with IMEI, the fix is permanent.
After the repair can be uploaded any rom, including Oreo .
I also twisted up my IMEI. When I tried to downgrade to 7.8.23 it was boot looping. I was trying to solve it for 6 straight hours. Eventually, somehow the phone became unable to boot into fastboot (or anything else) for no reason. (a random shutdown occured during fastboot mode while no command was given). I had to turn to the Xiaomi service, since nothing could be done with the phone. Guess I'll have to use my old nokia flip mobile for 2-3 weeks.

You can try EDL mode:
solution how boot EDL mode via ADB or fastboot: link>> 99mediasector.com/edl-mode-boot-edl-mode-xiaomi-devicesI think this will not work for youBut you can try EDL:via Deep Flash Cable (how quickly make Deep Flash Cable): link>> en.miui.com/thread-310325-1-1.htmlorvia disassembly Mi A1 (Guide to Flash Bricked Mi A1): link>> en.miui.com/thread-1680467-1-1.html

Now that my wifi issue is solved, can I delete the persist.img from my device? Please advice.
Mods please edit the op with a warning not to flash someone else's persist partition, this can permanently damage your chances of recovering your OEM Mac address and other sensors data, there's already a better solution out the called "persist resurrector" on XDA. !!!!DO NOT USE THIS!!!

So after a while now and a lot of struggle trying to root my h910 I managed it a few weeks back, but I have service disabled and I've tried flashing different roms on the device with no success at gaining service. Can anyone help me out here?

I think you may need to flash your radios backups that you saved in step one
modem0 and modem1
You can flash them with fastboot if I remember correctly

Hopefully you backed up your phone like the root procedure said
If you have modemst1 and st2 -- flash those. You can flash them from fastboot:
